The Kidnapper

Maria picked up her book and we walked side by side down the sidewalk covered in red and orange leaves.

"It's starting to get cold."
She states and I nod

"That car has been following us."
I accuse and she was about to turn around, but I grab her arm

"No, don't turn around."
I whisper loudly

"Catherine! Nobody is following us!"
Maria shouts, and maybe she's right. Maybe no one is following us and I'm overreacting. I just...something isn't right. I sense a presence that I've only felt once before.

We were about to cross the street, when suddenly out of the corner of my eye, I see a speeding car coming straight for us. I grab Maria's arm and pull her close. The car came to a screeching halt and the window slowly began to slide down. It was him.

"Hello, love. Did you miss me?"
Harry says with a smirk and his eyes darken with a devilish gleam.

I turn my head to Maria and whisper softly in her ear,

"Run."

Harry leans over to the passenger's side and opens the door for me.

"Going somewhere?"
He taunts with that smile from my dreams and inquisitively raises an eyebrow.

"I forgot, I'm late for the thing we talked about. I'll call ya."
And she gave me a concerned look as she turned around and walked the other way.
I turned my attention back to Harry.

"Get in"
He commands, but I stay still

"How did you find me?"

"Back at it again with the questions, love?"
And he grins

"I'm not getting in the car with you."
I insist and cross my arms tightly.

"Sit, or you'll regret it."
He quietly threatens; almost in a whisper and I take a seat next to him.
The car speeds away and I feel a jolt, pushing me back. I put on my seat-belt and I glance at him with a nervous look.

We drove through the city and it looked as if he was taking me back.

"Where are we going?"
I ask, but he only gazes at me, then turns his head back to the road.

"There's no more reward, they took it down."

(thought this house looked pretty, but at the moment, the season is Fall. So now snow yet lol)
