Broken Love
Chapter 18
Rachel's P.O.V.
It had been a few hours since Emily had ran out. When Luke came back in he simply muttered the word "Styles" and stormed off into his room. Harry had never come back. I tried calling both Harry and Emily to see what happened but neither we're picking up.
And so when night time came around it ended up being just Calum and in his sitting room, huddled under his quilt, watching 'I Know What You Did Last Summer'. I was wearing a pair of plaid pyjama shorts and a red vest with my hair flopping messily along my shoulders.
Calums hand was resting on my bare knee, squeezing it softly every time I jumped at something that happened in the movie.
It had gotten to creepy part of the movie where there was quiet music and a dramatic climax. The sound of my phone ringing made both Calum and I jump, letting out yells and screams at the sudden shock of the noise.
Luke came running out of his room holding a lamp looking around for the emergency and rolling his eyes when he saw the two of us were just watching a movie.
I slid out from under the blanket, leaning across the couch to grab my phone. I frowned at the unfamiliar number but answered it anyways.
"Hello?"
"Why can't anyone tell us a goddamn thing?!" Luke yelled frustratedly as he paced the corridor of the hospital. We had been in the hospital over an hour now, waiting for news on how Emily was but no one would give us any.
I had rang Egypt to tell her about Emily's accident. She had wanted to come to the hospital but as we had no idea what was happening I figured it was best that she tried to get some sleep. And so it was just Luke Calum and I.
While Luke was pacing the corridor, Calum was sitting on the floor, with his back resting against the wall. I was lying on the floor with my head resting on Calums lap as I cried into his stomach.
"C'mon guys, she's gonna be okay. It's Emily" Calum announced suddenly, his hands playing with my hair gently.
"Oh yeah, well then how come no one will tell us anything? Why won't anyone just let us know how she's doing?!" Luke exclaimed as he rounded on Calum.
"Relax Luke, this isn't his fault" I mumbled, my faced stainex with tears though I no longer felt like I could cry.
"Well-" Luke began but cut off when a doctor iinterrupted.
"She's okay. Obviously she's been badly injured but we managed to get her in a stable position. She's not awake but you can see her. One at a time please" he told us as I sat up quickly.
Luke and I looked at each other, trying to decide who would go first.
