Beastly. (9th Chapter)
…An Hour Later…

Valerie's POV:

“Are you sure that you know where you’re going, darling?” I huff my breath, ignoring my father words as I tend to concentrate on locating the stream. Since I have been there more than once, I managed to memorise its location by heart. Slowly, I skip the log that is lying on the ground, as I hear my father’s gasp at the beauty of the stream and waterfall.
I smile to myself as a job well-done reward, while I begin to speak: “See? I told you that it’s the truth. (I whisper) Try not to talk much dad; he tends to get frightened easily.” He nods at me as I begin to walk little steps. I pause as I stare upwards, and something catches my eye instantly. My father looks shocked at where I pointed my finger. “Is that my blue jeans up there?!” Mentally, I face palm myself as I place the same index finger over my lips to gesture the maintenance of silence.
“(I speak cautiously) Hello? If you could hear me, I just want to introduce you to someone… (My father sighs as I close my eyes and proceed) I know you aren’t understanding any word I am saying right now, but please sh-…” My words are replaced by my scream when something jumps on me from a nearby tree, causing me to fall down. I open my eyes, staring at a pair of green orbs, which are currently piercing my frightened blue eyes.
His releases a beastly growl, and I soon hear my father’s footsteps rushing towards us. I rais my palm up high to tell my father not to move, and he does. I couldn’t remove my eyes from his, not even a single bit. It was like he was trying to tell me something, he’s trying to show me that he is still mad at me yet he seems to keep his body on top of mine; almost like he wants me intrapt in his grasp.
I raise the same palm I used to gesture my father, guiding my bones slowly to the wild beauty’s left cheek. Once my palm cups his cheek, he flinches for a second, but then his jew relaxes under my touch. If only we could stay like this till forever, but unfortunately he got up slowly and I followed his actions.
Dusting my clothes, I look at my father who has shockness dissolved all over his face. my father and the wild beauty are intensely looking at each other, almost like time froze them since non of them moved so far. But this moment didn’t last so far, because I noticed my father pulling out a small needle from his pocket. “(I warn in whispering seriousness) Dad, what are you going to do?”
My father’s actions answer before his verbal reply, as he begins approaching the beautiful man of the jungle. I scan the lost soul, as a hint of a smile draws upon my lips. He was able to get rid of the jeans, yet he seems more than contempt by maintaining the boxers. “(He whispers and instructs) Talk to him, darling. Distract him so I could inject him. It won’t be easy for us to take to the ship so we need to put him through a temporary sleep. (My eyes sadden, as he proceeds) Its for his own good I promise.”
I wave my hands up in the air, which catches those vine-coloured eyes instantly. “(I smile as I speak) When you wake up, you are going to love where you’ll be. I’ll teach you how to eat, and you’ll bathe and we’ll get you clean-…” I wasn’t able to proceed because a wince of pain roared from his fragile estate; the needle was injected in his shoulder. His long and bronzed legs wobble, as my father rushes to catch him before he tumbles down. “I still can’t believe this, but right now we need to go back fast.”
