Georgia’s POV:

I didn’t notice him awaiting me, because my head was tilted to the ground. His voice made me realise his presence: “What are you doing here?” I look upwards to Charlie’s face, wishing I could just slap his features of confident. How could he be this cruel? Does he not have a single pebble of morality in his bones? Look who’s talking, I snort mentally at myself.
I never was a good doer, and despite that fact; I came across in finding the difference between right and wrong. Clearly, Charlie doesn’t seem to have reached that level, and for that I feel proud about myself at the current moment. I scoff at him, as I cross my arms over my chest. “I’m here to tell you important news, but since this is how you are going to welcome me; then I better leave.” I turn my back to head to the elevator, but his palm yanks my arm and twirls me towards him.
I give myself a pat on the back, knowing that he would easily fall for my false statements.“Tell me, right now.” I shake my head in denial, then speak in sarcasm. “This isn’t about you only. Your father and Gerard must hear it too, or else you are at tremendous risk of failing with your plans. Now, be a good boy and show me the way, will you?” He glares at me, and drags me by my arm forward.
I pretend to struggle in his dragging force, but what I am mainly doing is looking everywhere for Harry’s location. The entire walls are filled with caged bars. Monkeys, snakes, reptiles and rabbits are resident crucially behind these jailed walls. I feel pity at the animals in danger, noticing their weakness through their eyes. Both our feet stop, once we reach the other two men. Surprisingly, there isn’t anyone else than them in here, but that isn’t important so far.
“(He snarls, placing a needle on the table) What on earth is she doing here? I thought you gave her the money, Charlie. (He addresses Charlie’s father now) Your son is going crazy, he’s trying to expose us!” Charlie huffs in irritation, as he drops my arm and speaks: “She knows something that is important to us, and I know she is extremely stupid and a coward; so you can rest she can’t harm us at all."
I defend myself in a warning: “One more mistreatment from you, and you can kiss your whole plan goodbye, Charlie.” He purses his lips, as he adjusts his lab coat. “You came here to speak, so what are you waiting for?” Charlie’s father says, not even bothering to look at me since he is occupied with his microscope. “Alright, but you aren’t going to like what you’re going to hear.” They all stop what they’re doing, and look at me.
“Thomas knew that you three are behind this operation, and he has called the police to track you down. The police has been to your houses and found traces that would lead them to this private laboratory. I went to Valerie’s place to snoop around some information, and this is what I found out. The police are also planning on capturing you with no further alert, which means it could be anytime by now. I already booked a plane ticket for myself and I will be traveling tonight, so I suggest you all pack up your stuff and leave too. Either that, or we all are going to be pounded for life.”
Charlie and his father portray the fear that the have just felt from my false story, but Gerard was a contrast. He began laughing yet there was no sign of humour in what I just said. “You are such a liar, foolish girl. You think that I would believe your story? Try another time, and maybe I would.”
