I stare at my phone on my coffee break, Holly's text me a couple of times today asking if we can meet up, but I'm unsure what to say. I don't want to be one of those idiots who just tells her over text, she deserves better than that.

"What you doing?" Bella asks as she walks in she makes me jump, she laughs as I look at her and I try not to smile.

"I'm trying to think when to meet Holly, she's asked me out for dinner." I say as I put my phone back in my pocket.

"Oh right." Bella says as she waits for the coffee machine to make her coffee. "Why don't you go and then you can tell her the truth?" She asks as I watch her add a spoonful of sugar.

"Yeah, I was thinking of doing that. But I'm just a bit skeptical to her reaction, what if she goes all psycho on me. One girl did that before in a restaurant after I told her I liked her friend." Bella's eyes widen and I frown. "What?"

"Well no wonder she went mad at you. You don't realise the effect you have on people, you need to put people straight at the beginning. Don't lead people on Lou!" Bella sighs as she rolls her eyes and sits down.

"I didn't think I led people on, I try the whole 'lets be friends' but without telling them.." I stop there as I realise just how ridiculous I sound. "Okay so I may give false hope, shit I've never looked at it like that." I frown to myself as I look away.

"Well at least this Emily girl is helping you realise where you slip up" Bella says as she looks at me, I glance back at her and nod as I guess she's right.

I am young and slightly carefree when it comes to girls. I don't like settling down with a girl for too long as I've never felt the need too. I never realised the impact of moving on from one girl to another, I blocked out their feelings and now I feel like a right arse.

"Well at least I know how I fuck everything up." I answer and Bella laughs at me.

"I'm sorry, I shouldn't laugh. I don't agree with some things you have done but I'm glad to hear you're seeing some sense." Bella says and I smirk as I take my phone out again and I look at Bella.

"Right, I'm going to text Holly and I'll meet up with her and I shall settle this once and for all!" I say enthusiastically and I look down to my phone.

"Okay, I'll leave you to it." Bella says as she taps my shoulder as she walks out. I begin to type a casual text to Holly, maybe I'll suggest going for a drink rather than for a meal. Once I've sent the text, I sip my coffee and I head back to work. Before I get started my phone vibrates, bloody hell that was quick. As I open the text, it's an unknown number,

Hi, it's Emily.
I think we should talk after the other night?

I smile instantly as I text her back agreeing to having a 'chat'. Everything I have said has completely disappeared. I don't need to tone down or back off because she feels the same as me. I quickly head to reception and I see Bella casually staring into space day dreaming.

"Hey!" I say from behind and this time I make her jump. "Guess who's just text me?" I ask and I don't care if I sound like a happy little school boy, Emily has actually text me.

"Um Holly?" Bella asks and I shake my head. "I don't know Louis.." She laughs and I tell her. I Watch as her eyes widen and she looks quite surprised. "What did she say?" She asks.

"We need to talk, so basically she wants to see me and I knew she would. Now everyone can understand the way I acted and how I feel." I smirk and Bella shakes her head.

"But you're going to meet Holly first aren't you?" Bella asks warily. I frown as I shake my head.

"What's the point? Emily was so against me because of how much Holly likes me, so I'm guessing she may have told her." I answer simply and Bella stands up.

"You should still be the one telling Holly, it should come from your mouth not Emily's." Bella says and I sigh as my moment of happiness has suddenly evaporated.

"What is it with you and Harry both being against me and Emily?" I ask and Bella looks displeased

"Oh come on Lou, you know we're trying to help you, besides you two aren't even together. All I'm saying is don't be the guy who runs whenever she clicks her fingers. She's not made a great effort to make this easier for you." I try not to get as wound up as I don't want to fall out with Bella as well as Harry, but I just don't understand why they have to rain on my parade.

"Well she's the made the effort now." I answer and Bella looks away. I go to walk back to the garage but she stops me,

"Good job you corrected your number on her phone." Bella says and the office phone starts to ring. I didn't correct my number, I never had the chance. Oh well, it doesn't matter.

I head back in to the garage and begin to text back. As I am midway through the text I stop. And I realise that Bella may be right. Perhaps I should explain things to Holly first, that's one thing I have to start learning; I need to put others first and consider their feelings.

Once I've finished texting both of them, I glance up to see Bella but she looks away from me. I know Harry and Bella both have their opinions on Emily and I, but I know I have to go with my own instincts. I really do believe Emily is for me, I was infatuated with her the first time I saw her on the dance floor and now she's showing interest back; it's an opportunity I know I can't miss.

I haven't heard from Harry today, I've been debating with myself whether I should go over to his after work. I owe him an apology and I don't really want to waste anymore time, he's a good friend of mine and I want him to realise that. My phone goes again and it's Holly, she's up for meeting tomorrow but I'm really not looking forward to it.
How did it ever get this deep so quickly? What does she see in me that makes her try so hard? I just don't get it at all.

"Phone call for you Louis.." Bella says as she walks in and straight back out. Her frosty approach does bother me, but I try to shrug it off as I follow her out and I take the office phone. As I begin to say hello, the line goes dead. I frown as I look at Bella who doesn't bother looking at me.

"Did they say who it was? Only they've hung up.." I ask as I look down at Bella.

"No, it was a girl though." Bella answers as she starts to type something into the computer. I sigh as I'm not going to know who it is with Bella being so blunt with me. No matter how much it's annoying me that the person hung up I know I have to address this issue with Bella before I worry about a phone call.

"Do you want to talk?" I ask Bella and she looks at me and shakes her head.

"We don't need to talk Louis, everything is fine." Bella says as she stands up and starts printing some files out. I sigh as I watch her walk away towards the printer.

"I'm sorry I get defensive." I sigh and she turns to face me, "I just like this girl so much, I know it's hard to understand as I barely know her." I add and Bella nods.

"Louis, you have to do what's best for you, all I do is just give my opinion across and if that hurts you then I'll stop. I don't want to upset you." Bella says as she starts to collct the paper work.

"Your opinion does matter to me, I'll try not to be so quick to jump back at you." I wink and I know I want to stay and talk to Bella, but st this rate I'm never going to get my jobs done.

Bella smiles and I head back to work, all I need to do now is see Harry and clear the air with him.
