I walk towards the table, my eyes fixed on Emily the whole time. But as she looks at me, she smiles the same smile she did the other night. Before I can say anything Holly springs up from her chair and wraps her arms around my neck, Emily looks away and smiles as she too stands up as Harry introduces himself to Emily. As Holly pulls away I can't help but notice how Emily looks at Harry, her cheeks turn a shade of red and I feel the jealousy rise from the pit of my stomach.

"Let's get some drinks, same again girls?" Harry asks and they both nod as they tell him what they're drinking. I turn away from them and I walk to the bar with Harry.
"Well I can see why you're so keen to see Emily " He says as he leans casually on the bar.

"Well she seems to like you." I snap and Harry looks at me and frowns.

"Don't be silly Lou, she probably thinks you're here for Holly. Especially the way Holly dramatically greeted you." Harry answers and then turns away as the bartender asks us for our order.
Okay he has a point, I wasn't prepared for Holly's greeting and I'm unsure why she did it. But I know what look I saw on Emily's face, I just need to explain before this night goes any further.

"I need to get her on my own." I whisper as we start to make our way back to the table. I'm grateful that Harry isn't too bothered about my bossy attitude, but I just can't help myself when it comes to this girl. Many people fight for other people that they have just met, don't they?

"Okay, I'll try and see what I can do." Harry says and we stop talking as we sit down. I smile at him and he looks to the girls as he places their drinks I front if them. I try not to stare at Emily too much, so I look to Holly, she smiles as she looks at me and Harry.

"So glad you asked us out tonight." Holly says as she thanks us for our drinks, Emily does too but she looks at Harry. I try not to let it bother me, but I really Just want her attention and hers only.

"Oh bugger I forgot crisps." Harry says and looks at Holly. "Wanna come help me?" He asks and Holly laughs.

"You need me to help you get some crisps?" Holly asks and I shake my head at Harry's efforts. I know he's trying, but crisps, seriously?

"Yeah, I'll get some shots too." Harry says and I look up at him.

"Oh alright." Holly laughs and she stands up, Harry winks at me and walks off to the bar with Holly.

Emily looks at me and smiles as she sips her drink. Harry's sprung this upon me quite suddenly but if it's my only chance to get Emily alone, then I'll take it.

"How have you been?" I ask as I look at her beautiful face, I watch her delicately place her glass down on to the table.

"I've been okay, what about you?" Emily answers, she doesn't even look as if she feels bad for not bothering with me, shit maybe she really isn't interested in me.

"I have been okay thanks. I was hoping to see you again." I add casually and Emily frowns.

"But you never text me back, I got the impression you weren't interested." Emily says and I immediately become confused.

"No, I never got any texts from you." I say as I take my phone. Emily looks more confused than I do and I have to feel some kind of relief that she did try to contact me. I scan my phone and Emily takes her phone. She holds it up to me showing me the text that says,

Hi Louis, I've just left the girls as I wondered if you wanted to meet for a quiet drink? I felt bad leaving you so soon. Emily X

I smile as I read the text and she takes her phone back. She begins to read out my number, but there's a digit short. I swear I dialled my number correctly.

Before we can say anything else Harry and Holly appear back at the table. Thankfully we've got the evening together and I'm hoping if Harry can distract Holly then I can talk to Emily.

As the night goes on, the drinks continue to flow. I think Harry's completely forgot that he's on the early shift tomorrow as it's his turn to open up, he and Holly are quite drunk.
I haven't yet managed to talk any further to Emily and I've been biting my tongue as I'm getting more and more impatient.

Holly excuses herself as she stands up and kisses the top of my head, I freeze on the spot and Emily tries not to laugh at my reaction. I breathe out as she walks away, Harry laughs at me as he knows me well enough to understand that I'm frustrated with this situation. I nod my head at the direction off the toilets and Harry frowns at me.

I roll my eyes and he suddenly stands up as he clocks on.

"Think I need to release too." Harry says as he looks at me and smirks. I shake my head fighting off the smile as it tries to creep through.

"I really feel like I want to speak to you alone, because I'm so confused at why I didn't get your text and I've been desperate to see you." There...needy Louis has just escaped me for the first time ever. I have a feeling I've completely scared Emily off and I really do not blame her.

"Louis, I am so lost. I thought I am here for Harry and you are here for Holly?" Emily asks and I quickly shake my head in shock.

"I asked Holly to bring you because you're the one I wanted to see!" I say quickly as I worry they will come back sooner than later. Emily looks away and bites her lip, god she doesn't realise the effect she has on me when she does that.

"Louis, I'm sorry. But Holly's mad for you. I thought when I didn't get a reply from you that you liked her instead of me." I try to stay calm as she explains further and I know I'm not going to like the final outcome. "But you've asked Holly out, I can't take her date away. My friendship with her is too valuable." Emily says and I feel completely crushed.

"But I didn't ask her out because I liked her, I had no choice. There was no other way to find you," I pause as I feel so frustrated right now, I should have listened to Harry and Bella. "I can explain everything to Holly." I add but Emily looks at me and sighs.

"I'm sorry Louis. I can't go any further than friends as I can't do that to Holly, she deserves happiness not disloyalty from me." Emily says and I literally can not believe this is happening to me.

"So why did you come here?" I snap and Emily looks away. "See, even you felt the same as me that's why you are here." Emily shakes her head and stands up. She tries to explain that it's for the best if she leaves but I am having none of it, so I follow her out.

"You even text me Emily.." I Say as we reach outside, she quickly turns around and looks at me, pulling me round the corner of the pub she stands a fair distance between us.

"Louis I did like you, but you've got Holly involved now. She's so happy about being here tonight, all I've heard is Louis this and Louis that. Just think how you'd feel if you were in her shoes." Emily snaps and I can't believe I'm having a debate with a girl I barely know.

"I admit how I went about seeing you was wrong." Emily looks away and I firmly take her hand and pull her towards me."But I know you feel just as strongly as me. I felt the connection." I add as she backs away from me and gently hits into the wall. I put my hands up on the wall and I lean directly towards her blocking her in.

"Please.." Emily whispers and her eyes flicker down to my lips. My heart skips with joy and I move my head closer to hers, she slowly looks into my eyes.

"I've wanted you and now I've found you, I can't let you slip away." I whisper and she closes her eyes in frustration. I let my left hand fall from the wall as I gently stroke her cheek. Her eyes slowly re-open.

"You can't do this, I don't even know you." She whispers back but there's no fight.

"Isn't that the fun of it?" I whisper once more, she doesn't say anything or move from me. Her eyes keep completely on mine. I can't help but smirk to myself as I lean forward and she closes her eyes, I breathe heavily skimming her lips with mine. But I move to her cheek, leaving a small kiss and I step back. Her eyes snap open as I shove my hands into my pockets.

"You wanted me to kiss you, doesn't that prove our chemistry?" I ask and Emily looks down to the floor. "I won't give up." I add and I walk back into the pub, leaving her unable to fight back.
I have to breathe out heavily as I was actually nervous myself. I desperately wanted to kiss her but I had to test Emily just to make sure I am correct. I look back over to where we were sat and I see Holly and Harry sat at the table talking.

"Holly, Emily is outside, I think she may want to go home." I say and Holly looks at me with such disappointment. She stands up and starts to slur on her words about how much she doesn't want to leave and that she thought I had left her. After a couple of minutes of reassuring Holly, she puts her coat on, Harry and I put ours on too as we walk her outside.

"Everything okay?" Holly asks as she stumbles to her friend, Emily looks up to us and avoids me.

"Yeah, I think we should get you home." Emily says and Holly tries to argue with her, but Emily is already pulling her away. She turns to us and says goodbye to Harry.

"Take it easy!" Harry says slightly confused to why they are leaving. He looks at me but my eyes focus on Emily, who now glances at me and shyly looks away. "Well that went to plan, why did you let her go?" Harry sighs and shakes his head.

"I'll see her again." I say probably a little bit too confident, but I felt something between us that I know neither of us can ignore. Harry shakes his head in frustration as he must think all my efforts have gone out the window.

"I'll get us a taxi." He sighs as he walks off towards the taxi bank, as I follow him I can't help but re-live my moment with Emily in my head, except in my version I do kiss her and my mind ends up getting a little too carried away. Hopefully, this is just the beginning,
