Bella's POV

I sit in the waiting room as Louis' parents are with him. It's only right to stay here as I can't leave the hospital not knowing what condition Louis is in. I panicked after finding him, I knew I had to phone Harry and he called Louis' parents. I can't believe I found him in such a state, I can't get him out of my head. The blood. Uh, all the blood that surrounded him as he sat lifeless holding his leg.

"Bella.." Harry panics as he rushes into the room, I look up at him and I throw my arms around his neck as I jump out of my seat. "How is he?" He asks as he holds me out at arms length.

"I'm not sure." I answer as my voice cracks. Harry guides me down onto the seat and he keeps his arm firmly around me. "I can't even explain how horrible it was." I cry as I see the image of him once more in my head.

"I'll kill whoever did this to him." Harry snaps as he removes his arm from me and stands up. I frown as I look at him.

"Harry-" He completely cuts me off as he starts to pace the room,

"You were right, something was wrong with him and I can't believe I was so stupid to dismiss it. I could have prevented this!" He stops and turns to me. "This is all my fault!" He adds with tears in his eyes.

"Don't say that!" I sniff as I stand up, it's heartbreaking seeing him like this. He looks away from me as the tears continue to flow. "It wasn't your fault." I try to reach out to him but he turns away from me.

"I should have been like you, I could have sat him down and made him tell me what was going on but I am too stubborn." Harry shoves his hands in his pockets and looks at the floor.

"You and Louis are the same. Both so stubborn, you wouldn't talk to him and he wouldn't tell you. He didn't tell me anything Harry. So stop thinking like this and just concentrate on what's happening now." I wipe my eyes as I sit back down. Someone could say we are far more emotional than we should be, it was just a stab, but that's not the only reason Harry and I are so distressed.

We weren't on good terms with Louis, we had no idea what was going on in his life, what was making him so snappy. It's the thought of him being alone during his attack, that plays with Harry more than anything else and I understand exactly how he feels.
We both look up as the door opens and Louis' Dad walks in. He softly smiles as he greets Harry.

"You found him just in time. The blood loss is quite a mass but he will be okay. The blade was inches from a vein so Louis is really lucky." His Dad says and I sigh with relief, I do let a few happy tears escape. Harry sighs heavily as he crouches down and let's his head fall into his hands. "You can go and see him." His Dad asks and we both quickly look up at him.

"I'll wait here.." I say as Harry stands up, he frowns at me but I look to Louis' Dad.

"He was actually asking for you." He says and I nod as I'm slightly surprised he wants me to see him. As I leave the room with Harry, I pass Louis Mum who gives Harry a brief hug, She thanks me one more time and leaves.

"I'll be in there in a minute." I say as Harry opens the door and looks at me. "I need a drink." I lie as I walk away, I can't see him, not yet.

Louis' POV

I look up and see Harry walking into the room, I have to say I'm surprised to see him here. I know my parents told me Bella had rang him and he contacted them, but I didn't think he'd come here.

"How are you doing?" He asks as he takes a seat next to me. I explain the same old, feeling weak, nauseous and tired. Apart from stating the obvious of feeling sore. "Who did this?" He asks through gritted teeth.

"Don't worry, it's not important." I sigh as I don't want him getting caught up in this.

"Of course it's important Lou, you were stabbed!" Harry snaps as he leans forward, anger full on his face. I can't help but smile as I know I've got my friend back, even if I did have to go through this. "I let you down, Bella tried to warn me that you weren't yourself, she knew something was up. But I didn't want to listen and I'm sorry. I should have been there.." He adds and looks away from me in distress.

"Harry, you had every right to not listen. I let you down, you were still angry at me. None of this could have been prevented." I answer and Harry shake his head.

"Well I want to know who did this and why." He says as he looks at me. I look away from him as I know he isn't going to give up asking me. "Tell me." He says sternly, I sigh as I look at him.

"Emily was playing me all this time, I was a bet between her and Holly. Except Holly was the only one that actually liked me." I stop as I feel myself getting wound up, I'm never really going to get over that situation. Harry looks at me completely clueless at my comment. If he's going to know who did this, then I need to tell him what had happened first to cause this.

"What? Emily made a bet? How the fuck.." Harry pauses as he tries to process my words. I explain more in detail as I go into exactly what I found out. Harry looks at me in shock as I tell him.

"Then I find out she had a boyfriend. All this time." I add in frustration and Harry's eyes widen.

"What the fuck.." Harry mumbles as he falls speechless. I nod as I remember just how shocked I was too. "She didn't do this.." He asks warily and I quickly shake my head.

"Emily wouldn't do anything like this." I answer and Harry raises his eyebrows.

"Are you sure? It's not like you can trust her or anything!" Harry snaps and I smile as I know how much he cares by the way he's so annoyed. "Tell me Louis!" He pleads and I look away from him.

"It was Max and Gary." I sigh as I don't really like thinking about it and I know he's going to kick off. Harry falls silent and mumbles a couple of words under his breath.

"Pricks!" Harry snaps as I look at him, he looks away and I can tell he's already plotting something. "I'm going to find them." He adds as he sits back and I shake my head instantly.

"Don't get involved Harry! Why do you think I didn't tell you? I knew this was coming, I just wasn't expecting it to be today." I answer and Harry looks at me, his nostrils start to flare as his eyes burn into mine.

"You knew he was coming for you?" Harry repeats and I nod. "How?"

"Max is Emily's boyfriend." I sigh and Harry starts to curse under his breath. "But don't worry, I'm getting my revenge. Once this heals and I can walk on it, I'm fucking both of them up." I say bitterly and Harry looks at me and bites down on his lip.

"With my help." He adds and I know I can't fight him on this one. "They'll pay for this." Harry says and I nod in agreement. We both look up as the door slowly opens, Bella looks at me and I can't help but smile at her.

"I need to shoot. I'll come back later." Harry frowns as he stands up and I try to stop him but he doesn't listen, Bella looks at him in worry and then back to me. I watch her as she takes a seat and she coughs to clear her throat.

"Thank you Bella." I quickl say to her and she nods as she looks away uncomfortably. "If you hadn't found me." I add and she looks back at me as the tears start to appear in her eyes.

"I can't believe this has happened to you." Bella sniffs as she wipes underneath her eyes and looks away from me.

"It doesn't matter." I mutter and I move my position as my leg does start to ache. Bella looks at me and sighs as she watches me try to get comfortable.

"It does matter Louis. It really matters." Bella says quietly and she leans forward. I reach over and I take her hand, she jumps at my touch.

"Please don't worry about it, the main thing is that I am okay." I answer and I smile but Bella looks at me and frowns.

"How can you say that to me Louis? After how I found you, it's far from okay! Just talk to me, tell me why this has happened." Bella cries and she squeezes my hand. "Who would do such a thing?" She whisper and I sigh as I look away.

I don't want Bella knowing because I want Bella to be safe. Telling her what has happened could affect her just as badly as it did with Harry, I can't have her falling so low. But I also can't lie, I owe her so much that she deserves better than that. As long as I do everything that I can to protect her, I can tell her what's happened.

As I explain, her reaction is alot more subtle than Harry's. Harry never used to be full of hatred and revenge, until now. But Bella is more controlled but emotional. My words cause tears to come back and she falls in shock at the twist I had to learn.

"Why would they bet on you?" Bella asks and I just tell her how much Holly tried to divert Emily away from me. Her and Harry are both as shocked at the news, but I don't blame them.

"Holly was the good one, she actually liked me but Emily just took over and well, she got me." I say as I look away. "But everything about Emily was a lie, she didn't live with Holly. She lived with her boyfriend." I add and she looks confused.

"Boyfriend?" Bella asks as her eyes widen in shock. I nod as I look at her and she looks just as confused as I did.

"And her boyfriend did this to me. Max Farley. He and Gary did this." I answer and Bella sits back in her chair in silence. I know they scare her and I understand why. "But don't worry."

"They did this, they really wanted to hurt you Louis! I can't get this through my head, all of this because of you and Emily." Bella frowns and she looks away as she continues to think.

"I will sort everything out. Harry knows everything and he's-" Bella shakes her head so I stop.

"No please, don't rise to it and don't let Harry get involved. Those two that did this are evil and disgusting, I had to witness my friend in a horrible state that I never want to experience again. But if you two try and get revenge, who knows what I could find next, I can't stand the thought of that." Bella panics and I lift my hand to her cheek and gently stroke her.

"Stop worrying Bella. Everything is going to be okay and you're not going to experience that again. I'm sorry you found me like you did, but next time I'll beat them to it. I slipped up this time but I knew they were coming. Don't panic." I smile but she looks at me in horror and moves away from me, my hand falls back to my side.

"After everything that has happened, you are talking like that?" Bella asks and I look away from her as I know she's far too sensible to agree with this. "How could you be so stupid? This could have ended worse Louis, you were lucky, lucky! Next time you might not be." Bella snaps but we both look towards the door as it opens. My heart nearly stops as we are met with Emily.
