Only Reason

Niall's POV
''Goodnight, baby.'' I whisper as I lean down and place s soft kiss on Tori's forehead. ''Love you Daddy.'' She sighs, I could tell she was tired. Her surgery yesterday morning has worn her out, but thankfully we're back home.
''I love you too, Princess.'' I say as I lean up after tucking the covers around her. ''Why can't you stay in here, Daddy?" Tori asks, her watery eyes staring up at me.
''Because, baby.. I just can't. Now, if you go to sleep.. Daddy will make breakfast in the morning, okay?" I assure her. "Okay.'' She nods as I turn the lamp off.
I go to my bedroom where Jana waits in the bed for me. I open the door and softly shut it back. ''Ni..'' I hear her mumble as I lie down and move closer to her.

''Babe.. I dunno what we're gonna do 'bout Tori.'' I say. ''What's wrong now?'' She asks as I put my arm around her, spooning her. ''She always wants me to stay in there with her.'' I say.
Jana squirms, trying to get comfortable. Lately she's been having trouble going to sleep and getting situated because of the baby.
''She just loves you baby, that's all.. She used to do that when it was just me and her.'' Jana assures me. ''Stop talking about...before I wasd here..I hate hearing that..'' I mumble into her ear, trying not to be so stern.
''Why?'' She asks me, slightly confused. ''It hurts me to know that you were once alone.. I hate to believe that everything was once..harder for you. You had to work twice as much just to..make a living..'' I confess, trying not to sound so weak.
''Ni, the past is the past..'' She whispers. I could tell she didn't wanna talk about this anymore. ''So..have you been..thinking about baby names?'' I ask, curiously.
''A little, have you?" She says. ''Yeah.. Do you think its a boy or a girl?'' I ask her, wanting to know what she thought. ''A girl.'' she whispers. ''I think its a boy..'' I say, smiling to my self.
I know its stupid to not find out the gender, but we want it to be a secret for as long as possible.
