Chapter 40: Birthday: Part 2
Jana's OUTFIT ---- Taylor//Tori's outfits
Jana's POV
I hold Taylor in my arms as I rock gently from left to right. Niall’s sitting with Tori now, they’re eating their desserts. I didn’t get anything though, I wasn’t even hardly hungry in the first place, so I didn’t really want any ice cream or fudge.
‘’Jana..’’ Niall mumbles lightly. I glance up to see him with his lips rolled in. He only does that for two reasons: One, he’s nervous. Or Two, he thinks he done something wrong. So, in this case, I have no clue what he’s thinking, but he seems nervous, but puts off this vibe that feels as if she’s guilty of something. I don’t know though.
‘’You.. okay?’’ He asks in a soft, low voice. I nod before turning my full attention back to Taylor and the bottle I’m holding in my hand. Speaking of bottle, I hope I have enough for tomorrow, cus I don’t feel like pumping any in the morning, it annoys me sometimes.
‘’Daddy.’’ Tori giggles lightly. I barely look up, through my eyelashes as I try to seem to look like I’m looking at Taylor, even though I’m not. I’m curious, just a tad. ‘’Yeah, babe?’’ Niall asks her.
‘’Look at my shirt! I made a messy!’’ She says, humor to her voice. ‘’Baby, Mama’s gonna kill you! You just got that dress!’’ Niall says, annoyed but yet, he’s slightly laughing.Tori just giggles in response.
This is when I really get curious, so I look up to see her new dress covered with chocolate stains. I sigh as I smile lightly, neither of them looking until my smile was gone. ‘’I’m surprised you even remembered it was new.’’ I mumble to myself.
‘’I’m not fuckin’ stupid.’’ Niall says, his voice cold and harsh as I look over at him. ‘’Watch your mouth.’’ I say sternly. I hate for Tori to hear that word. ‘’I’m twenty-two years old. I don’t need any one telling me what I can and can not say.’’ He says, his eyes have no emotion. Usually its care and love, or humor and joy, some times affection and pain, but never..

“Who do you think your fucking talking to?’’ I ask, my eye brows raised at him in shock.‘’Watch your mouth.’’ He mocks as he rolls his eyes and slopes down in his seat some, taking out his phone as Tori leans her head on his arm, she can tell something’s wrong. I know she can.
“I’m talking to you, that’s who I’m talking to.’’ I say. His eyes shoot to mine for a few seconds, then he looks away as he rolls his eyes again.
Niall’s POV
‘’Daddy..’’ Tori mumbles lightly beside me. ‘’Yeah babe?’’ I sigh out, not annoyed at her, but at some one else and their bitchy attitude tonight. ‘’I’m ready to go home.’’ She sighs out as she puts her hand on my knee as she leans up, on the edge of the booth.
‘’Okay, baby..’’ I say as I get out of the booth and pick her up in my arms, her head automatically hitting my shoulder. She’s tired, I can tell she is.
I grab Taylor’s bag that sits beside Jana, just so I can limit the complaints for tonight, but I have a feeling me helping by just getting the bag won’t fix anything involving this. Tori puts her arms around my neck as Jana stands up, adjusting Taylor in her arms some as we begin to walk to the counter.
I get up there and I take out my wallet as I move my hand from Tori’s back, my other arm securing her though. I give the lady the receipt and the credit card. She swipes it and I sign her copy of the receipt before putting the card away.
As I turn around, Jana reaches for the bag. I slide it off my shoulder and hold it for as she opens it. ‘’I don’t want my baby to be cold.’’ She mumbles in that cute baby voice of hers to Taylor. She grabs the blanket as she puts the bottle away.
Carefully, she holds him against her chest, her arm around him as she opens the cover up with one hand and wraps it around him before returning him to her arms.
Once I know we’re ready to leave, I walk out the door, holding it for Jana, but receiving no thank you this time, which I knew was coming.
