~One Week Later~
~2:02 am~

Niall’s POV

I hold Taylor in my arms as he drinks from the bottle. The TV’s on, the sound turned down low. ‘’You make me.. so happy.’’ I whisper as I look down to see him with his eyes open, looking up at me. He looks so much like me, its crazy really.

Sanjay & Craig is playing, some kid show that Tori likes. It doesn’t bother me, it keeps me distracted sometimes. This is the third night in a row that me and Taylor had seen this episode.

“Oh.. Tay. I’ll tell ya something, son.. And that’s that me and you are probably the only people that know the same darn shows come on every night.’’ I mumble, smiling lightly as I take the bottle out his mouth and bring him to my chest, his chin on my shoulder.

I gently start to pat his back, like Jana showed me how to. “Ni..?’’ I hear Jana’s beautiful voice. I look over my other shoulder to see her walking from the staircase and over to me. ‘’What woke you up, babe?” I ask as she sits down beside me. ‘’I realized I was cuddling with the covers and not you any more.. I figured you were down here.’’ She sighs lightly.

‘’You okay?’’ I ask as I notice she doesn’t look too well. “I’m worn out.. getting the milk out and stuff.’’ She says as she lies down on the couch beside me, her head against my thigh as she turns to face me.

‘’I told you.. it would be better if we didn’t go. ‘Cus now you don’t feel good.’’ I sigh, upset a little. I bring Taylor back in the feeding position and I return the bottle to his mouth, he gladly takes it again.

“We have to go.. its very important, Ni.’’ She insists. ‘’I know..’’ I say, ‘’Do they even know what’s wrong with him?’’ I ask curiously. ‘’Yes.. he called me earlier and said that the doctor found a tumor… in his lung.. and he’s been sick, really sick.. If I loose my dad.. I’ll be lost.’’ She whispers as she sits up and decides to cuddle up against my side.

‘’I know, babe.. it must be hard.. to imagine it..’’ I say lightly, trying not to upset her. ‘’But.. I have the milk in the fridge.. and all the stuff ready for when your mom gets here.’’ She says, changing the topic smoothly.

“Okay, she should get here around 10 in the morning.. I told her to come here as soon as she lands, she said she will.’’ I say. We have to go see Jana’s dad, we as in me and Her, with out the kids. I might get some this weekend, I might not. It all depends on Jana’s mood.

“Okay.. when do you think he’ll be done? I wanna snuggle with you.’’ She whispers in my ear as she leans up some. ‘’Soon.. he’s almost done with the bottle.’’ I mumble as I look at the amount still in the bottle. ‘’How many ounces was it?’’ She asks as she stands up, getting ready to go back to the bedroom to wait on me.

“About 5.’’ I sigh. She nods lightly before leaving the room, leaving me and Taylor back to our previous silent, quiet, and peaceful area. Its nice to be able to spend time with my baby, especially since Jana pumps more. She says it doesn’t put so much strain on her, and she likes it better because I can feed him.

I like it too. Its all nice. My life is full of nice times now.
