Harry's Diary

I find myself counting the number of spots on the ceiling as I wait for Lou to find Harry.

31… 32… 33… 34… 35…

Niall has fallen asleep next to me, with Taylor resting her head on his thigh. They look so cute together, I’ve got to admit. Cuter than Lou and Harry, if that’s even possible. Lou and Harry are the alpha couple after all. Neither of them will admit it, but one day, they’re going to fall in love, get married and have ten kids. Call me crazy, but I believe in #LarryStylante. IT’S SO KAWIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII!!!!!

(Geez, I just realized that I sounded like Niall when he’s high on something that is definitely not weed.)

41… 42… 43… (man we really need to get the house repainted) 44…

The door to the kitchen suddenly creaks, and I see a flash of purple hair. I stand up, awakening both Niall (who was leaning on me) and Taylor.

“What just happened?” Taylor asks, sounding as if she was never asleep in the first place.

“I think Lou came,” Niall says, his voice very groggy.

Lou walks in just as Niall stands up, and goes over to the kitchen door. They almost collide with each other, causing Niall to jump in surprise.

“Oh crap, I didn’t see you there! I’m sorry!”

“Don’t be-it’s totally my fault.”

Lou and Niall both crack up, laughing. It’s only then that I realize that Lou and Niall have the same carefree persona, except that one is all punk and free-spirited while the other is just… crazy.

“So, did you find Harry?” Taylor’s voice shatters my daydream.

“Yeah,” Lou replies, nodding her head. “He fell asleep in his bedroom. He got mad when I entered and said that he needs his rest.”

Typical Harry. He’s neither a morning person, nor the kind of person to take it lightly if you wake him up. Of course he’d get mad.

Harry Fact #3: He gets really mad if someone wakes him up and the reason given isn’t decent.

But I also know, for a fact, that Harry sleeps late, wakes up early and never, ever takes naps.

Harry Fact #4: He sleeps at 3 am, wakes up at 8 am and doesn’t take naps 99.9% of the time.

Yesterday was normal. Today has been normal… so far. So why would Harry suddenly fall asleep in the middle of the afternoon? I look at Lou curiously. Is the violet-haired beauty hiding something from me? From all of us?

“Lou…” I start to say.

“What?” She looks at me playfully. For the first time, I realize that her eyes are almost like my own, but with thicker, longer eyelashes.

My heart almost skips a beat. I sigh, shaking my head. This is wrong! I can’t be falling for Lou! She’s Harry’s, isn’t she?

Think Larry Stylante... I tell myself. Think about how Lou cares for Harry. Think about trust. Think about friendship.

I open my eyes and Lou is still looking at me, but this time she’s smiling.

“What, Tommo Boy? Are you afraid of my eyes?”

I take a deep breath. “No.”

“Oh, that’s good,” she laughs. “I mean, ‘cuz most people are.”

She pauses for a while before adding, “Even Harry!”

“What?!” I exclaim, causing Niall to put an arm around me.

“Easy, Louis,” he tells me.

“Yeah, but seriously?! How can Harry be afraid of Lou’s eyes? How can anyone be afraid of those eyes?”

Niall mumbles something about the color. I look at him.

“What do you mean “the color’s scary”? My eyes have the same color and nobody calls them scary!”

“He probably means the way the blue and the green harmonize with black,” Lou says. “People say that my eyes reflect my emotions. When I’m happy, they’re mostly green, when I’m sad, they’re mostly blue, when I’m bored, they’re dull and when I’m angry, they’re as black as coal.”

I look closely at Lou. Her eyes seem to reflect the color of the sky outside, but in a darker shade, speckled with green. I raise an eyebrow.

“Lou,” I say. “If that's the case, then can you tell me what’s wrong?”

So I decided to add some romance just for fun haha... since y'all read this far.

So now that Louis knows how to read Lou's eyes, does that bring him closer to the truth?
