Falling For Your Eyes

Katie's P.O.V.

I read it over and over , trying to convince myself it was true. I had actually gotten the lead. I was going to be Belle in Beauty and The Beast. The lead. Me.
Taking a few deep breaths I scanned through the rest of the list. I smiled when I saw Rachel's name. She had gotten the part of the feather duster which wasn't unsurprising. Rachel could speak French well so sh was easily able to put on the accent, she wasn't much of a singer though and so that role suited her well.

I rolled my eyes when I saw that Ashton was Lumiere. Of course Rachel must have known that before she tried out for the feather duster. That girl really was something else.

It was then that my eyes landed on the name just above mine. I bit my lip, as I reread it. This couldn't be right..

Beast ~ Luke Hemmings


Not Luke Hemmings as in Luke Hemmings surely..? The most popular guy in school. I mean everyone knew he had auditioned (the other three had auditioned as well) but to get the lead..? Could he even act? Or sing?

I suddenly became very worried. If he was the lead and he wasnt very good he would ruin it.

"Eek! I'm actually in it! This insane, right?" Rachel was suddenly behind me, looking at the list.

"You got the lead - no surprise there though, right? You're fantastic at acting and singing. You'll make the perfect Belle. You might have to die your hair though" she rambled on, tugging lightly at my blue hair.

"And wow, Luke's the Beast" she continued. "Zoey won't like that"

I grinned every so slightly at that.

Zoey had been Luke's girlfriend for 4 months now. It only made sense seeing as she was the most popular girl in the school.

It was strange to think really that Zoey had actually been best friends with Rachel and I up until a few years ago. She had made one mean comment to a younger student and was suddenly welcomed into the popular group and since had become the most popular of them all.

She completely ignored us now, trying her best to pretend that she never knew us.

"I got Lumière!" A voice from beside me suddenly sounded and I felt Rachel freeze next to me.

"That's the candle right?" Michael replied to him.

I turned my head to see Ashton and Michael standing just a foot away from me.

"Yeah, I'm the candlestick. Not too bad, eh?" Ashton continued on.

Michael nodded.

"Hey look Hemmo's the lead. He'll be pleased" he repliedf

I frowned in confusion. Pleased? I doubted it. Luke gave off the aura of not caring about anything. I was actually a bit annoyed that he was the lead. This was a big deal to me,I didnt want him coming in with his laxy daisy attitude.

"Ok Luke!" He yelled ouout, looking over his shoulder.

Both Rachel and I watched as Luke walked up to them, leaning an arm on Ashton's shoulder. Calum was right behind him.
"Look at that man, you're the beast" Michael pointed at the list.

A small smile played at Luke's lip and wow I had to admit it,it was adorable. He really was an attractive guy , Luke. If only he wasn't so full of himself.

"Hey Katie, c'mere" Calum said suddenly, an arm wrapping around my waist to pull me over to the group of the four.

My eyes widened ever so slightly as all of their gazes landed on and Ashton scanned me up and down.

"This is Katie Mackay" Calum told them happily.

"Who?" Luke asked with a raised eyebrow.

"She is your Beauty"
