She gets on well with pretty much everyone she knows and she's perfectly happy with that.
She takes everyday as it comes and tries her best to have a general positive outlook on life.
Luke Hemmings is the most popular guy in school.
Girls want him and boys want to be like him. Everyone knows of him but no one is really bothered getting to know him properly.
When their school decides to stage the musical Beauty and the Beast, these two get the leads. They are suddenly pushed together. But what will become of this unlikely pairing? And by the time the musical ends how much will have changed?

18 years of age. One of Luke's best friends. Exceedingly popular. Is well known for being a player in the school. Though he dates a lot of girls, he manages to stay friends with them and so is very well liked in general.
Calum Hood
17 years of age. One of Luke's best friends. Very popular. Has always been very passionate about music. Though he is popular, he talks to everybody and so knows Katie reasonably well.
Katie Mackay
17 years of age. Loves meeting new people. A generally very bubbly person. Is very passionate about her music and spends endless amounts of time singing everyday. Has been taking drama classes since she was a child.
Luke Hemmings
17 years of age. Most popular guy in the school. His main passion in life is his music. Has never really paid much attention to or even noticed Katie. Spends most of his time with his best friends.
Michael Clifford
17 years of age. One of Luke's best friends. Very popular. Has always been very passionate about music. He's very popular but sticks to his own group of friends. Can be very sarcastic and so to people who don't know him appears to be an asshole.
Rachel Swan
17 years of age. Katie's best friend and has been since they were children. Tends to be the one coming up with the stupid ideas and getting Katie in trouble. Huge flirt. Has always had a crush on Ashton, but has never done anything about it.
Zoey Ann Macmillan
17 years of age. The most popular girl in school. Luke's girlfriend. Used to be best friends with Katie and Rachel as children but hasn't talked to them in years.
