All I Ever Wanted

“Hey, you’ve reached Ryan. I can’t come to the phone so leave me a message and I’ll get back to you!” I’d caught his voicemail. I debated on whether or not to leave him a message, but I opted to just try him again later.

“Are you ready to go out on the beach?!” Harry called from our bathroom. He was supposed to be changing.

“I’ve just got to change!” I scurried off of the bed to find my swimsuit when Harry burst out of the bathroom door in nothing but a teensy speedo. He pranced around the room to show off his suit. He strutted and put his hand on his hip like a model. I collapsed to the floor in giggles. “Harry, you cannot wear that in public!” I managed to squeal. My eyes were watery. Harry looked at me, completely disappointed.

“You don’t like it, baby?” He looked as if I’d just shattered his dreams.

“I mean, I love it. But I don’t think everyone else will appreciate the way your junk jiggles.” I could barely say it without bursting with laughter.

Okay, every female in the world would appreciate it.

“You can wear it tonight, babe.” I winked at him, which made a smile spread across his face.

Without a word, he turned and went back into the bathroom to put on some swim trunks. I found my bikini and slipped it on. Harry came walking out of the bathroom, but stopped dead in his tracks. I was standing in front of the mirror, pulling my hair into a ponytail. I fixed the band of my red bandeau bikini and I turned around to see what he’d changed into - his black swim trunks.

Yummy.

“Much better, baby.” I cooed as he continued to stare at me. “What is it?” I asked, self-cautiously wrapping my arms around my body.

He moved towards me. “No, don’t cover up. You’re absolutely beautiful. Your body is banging, baby.”

He smirked and pulled my arms up around his shoulders as he began to kiss my neck.

“It’s not just physically, Leah. You’re the most beautiful girl all around – your personality, your emotional side – you’re the full package baby. I’m so happy I can call you mine.” He planted a kiss on my lips.

“Thank you, Harry. I feel the exact way about you, baby. I love you as a person. You complete me. And your body is an added bonus.” I grinned, dropping my hand to squeeze his bum. He let out a growl and kissed me again.

“Knock, knock!” Louis and Perrie walked in. “Oh, sorry!” Perrie laughed, covering her eyes.

“Hey, we’re in a room.” Harry laughed.

“You guys are gross.” Louis scoffed, laughing. “Ready to hit the beach?”

Harry and I pulled away from one another and nodded. I grabbed my aviators and slid them on my face. Harry grabbed our beach bag and his Raybans and we followed Louis and Perrie down the stairs to find Zayn and Eleanor packing a cooler full of alcohol. Everyone grabbed bags and coolers and we all headed down to the beach.

“Let’s go to the beach – each – let’s go get away!” Perrie sang Nicki MInaj as we made the walk out of the resort and to the beach. Eleanor and I joined in, singing the next few verses while the guys set up our umbrella and pulled drinks out of the coolers. Harry passed me my favorite – a Lime-a-Rita. The girls spread out on our towels to catch some sun while the boys decided to play football on the beach.

“So, today when I spoke with Danielle, she slipped up and said something about Emma. Do you two know anything about what could be going on?” I asked Perrie and Eleanor, hoping they might know something.

“Well, I do know that Emma and Niall have been arguing a lot here lately. They’ve almost broken up a few times.” Eleanor said as she sipped on her daiquiri.

“Yeah, Zayn said something about Emma leaving last night because she and Niall had another fight. I don’t know for sure, though.” Perrie added.

“I need to call her. I just – I’m not sure what to say. She’s the one who turned on me. I mean, if she’s here, I’ll be nice because I want to work things out. I just don’t really know what to say.” I took a deep breath, enjoying the salty air.

“Yeah, it’s understandable. She was your best friend, not Dani’s.” Eleanor nodded. I shrugged and we all continued to gossip and sip on our alcohol.

“The boys must be really into their game. We haven’t heard them yelling for a good minute.” Perrie turned around on her towel to look in the direction of the boys, and Eleanor and I followed. The boys weren’t in their spot they’d designated in the sand for the football field. About the same time, the three ran from behind and scooped each one of us up.

“Time for a little ocean!” Zayn called out as he scooped Perrie up bridal-style. Harry threw me over his shoulder and Louis mimicked Zayn with carrying Eleanor like his bride. Us girls tried to wrestle free, knowing what was coming, but it was no use. The boys were too strong. All three boys ran towards the cool water, splashing and as soon as we were deep enough, Harry removed me from his shoulder and dunked me underwater. I came up to see that Zayn and Louis had followed suit. I giggled and splashed Harry, who had yet to go underwater.

“Ahhh!” He squealed like a little girl. “That’s cold!” I giggled some more as he moved as fast as he could through the water and tackled me to take me under with him. We came up at the same time, laughing. He wrapped himself around me. “You’re so much fun.”

“I’m supposed to be, I’m your girlfriend.” I winked.

Harry laughed as I kissed his nose. He let go of me and swam around me a bit. I tried to ring the water out of my hair as I felt a pinch on my bum.

“Ow!” I squealed, turning to see a guilty Harry.

“These fish! They’re biting everything today!” He grinned.

I playfully batted him away, causing him to tackle me again. We played around in the water some more before Harry noticed our guests.

“Hey, look. They’re here!” He pointed to the shore, and I looked up to see Liam and Danielle walking down the beach. Harry waved, catching the other’s attention. Liam and Danielle put their things down next to ours and waded out into the water.

“It’s a little chilly!” Liam exclaimed as he and Danielle carefully made their way through the waves.

“Glad you could make it, mate!” Harry and Liam did some sort of handshake. Danielle came over to hug me.

“Your suit is adorable!” She smiled. “It’s a gorgeous day. I’m so glad you invited us out!”

“Thank you! And I’m so glad you could make it!” I returned the smile.

“Hey ladies!” Eleanor and Perrie waded over to greet us.

After a chorus of “hello’s” we decided to go back to shore. The boys wanted to play a game of volleyball. After a short game, us girls retired to our towels to drink a little more and to get some more sun.

“So, I know it’s a touchy subject, but where’s Emma?” Eleanor spoke up. Danielle played with the straw in her drink and hesitated before answering.

“Well, you know she and Niall have been having troubles. All I really know is that they had a big argument last night over her school and she left, like back to America. Niall came to our room upset and drunk. We helped him sober up and then he went after her. We haven’t heard anything since, but the show is tonight, so Niall had better hurry.” Danielle took a sip of her drink.

“Why were they arguing over school?” Perrie asked.

“He wants her to quit and just be with him full time, but she wants to finish up so she has the option to have a nice job.” Danielle added.

I knew how much Emma’s career had always meant to her, and I couldn’t blame her for being upset with Niall. Danielle suddenly turned to me.

“She misses you, Leah. She talks about you all the time. I don’t think I’m as good of a friend as you are.” She laughed.

“Oh, it’s only because I’ve known her for so long.” I blushed. We heard footsteps and laughter coming towards us.

“You ladies ready?” Liam asked as he began to pack up beach items. We nodded and started to help the boys. The show was in a few hours and the boys had to get to the arena.
