Don't Be Scared

Things Are Worth Fighting For

It took a couple more days for Niall to get out of the hospital. The doctor said he was not allowed, under any circumstances what so ever, to do any physical activities. Therefore, the boys had to cancel their next few shows until further notice. This meant I had more time with Niall.

On a not so good note. That video of our fight went viral, so I’m now stuck at the hotel because every reporter from New York to California wanted a statement from me. I was told to not say anything and Niall would take care of it. And he did, just not good enough apparently. I think they were more confused than anything because no matter what anyone said they still had it in their heads that I shot Niall, they just couldn’t get why he would spend so much time at my house.

Going to school was worse. Since I don’t have a car, I’ve always taken the school bus with Page, who by the way totaled her car three months before. Now I’m stuck riding with the boys and their security team. They insisted that I needed to be protected… what am I going to do when they leave? They can't protect me forever.

"So? This is your school?" Harry asks, I can't read the look on his face as he takes it the medieval looking building.

"Yup. Roosevelt High... You guys going to come in with me to?" I ask jokingly

"Is that an option?" Niall half yells.

I look over to his guard. "I don't think so. He doesn't look like he's ready to let you out of his sight just yet." I step out of the SUV and swing my bag over my shoulder. Just as I'm about to walk into the gathering crowd, Niall gets out of the car and kisses me.

The feel of his lips on mine sends warmth through my body. he pushes away with a big smile on his face. "Thats for luck." He whispers.

The kiss gives me more then enough courage to hold my head high and walk right into the crowd and into my first class.
By lunch I've already received so many text from Niall. Nows the best time to read those I suppose.

"Hey doll face, Your face is turning so red right now, What are you reading?"

"Just a few text."

"From Niall?" Page says his name a little to loud. Everyone Is just staring at us now.

"You dating Niall?" Rachelle Allen, A girl who always bullies me, asks

"No, Why do you care?"

"I bet he only hangs with her because hes scared she'll shoot him again." Rachelle's best friend Miranda chimes in.

Page stands up, getting so close to them. "R, DID NOT SHOOT ANYONE! She doesn't even own a gun. I mean come on people, how many times do we have to say it in order for it to sink in? There are reporters outside, they follow her home for fucks sake, then she comes here just to be badgered by you bitches... Come on R, I need to talk to you." She grabs my hand and pulls me all the way to the pottery room. Once there I sling my school bag onto the nearest table.

"What's up?"

"Well, I'm moving."

"What!?! When?"

" Tomorrow... Today is my last day at school. My dad got promoted to South Carolina."

"Really, What am I supposed to do? Their is no way I can afford the motel without you. Chelsea barely gives me hours at the deli."

"Well, I talked to her, I guess being hit by One Direction is really starting to pay off. Your a local celeb."

"Your leaving tomorrow?"

She nods.

"So aren't the boys."

"I know. Hey if worse comes worse and you have to go back to the fosters' house. Just remember school ends in three months.

"Yeah, I'd rather share a park bench with drunk James."

"Yeeeaah. Don't do that. Thats so unsanitary, and just plain gross."

I laugh a little. James Masters Isn't a homeless man, he just gets so wasted he sometimes forgets he has a house.

"Oh, Harry said Niall has something planned for tonight." She winks at me. "But you didn't hear it from me."

The bell rings indicating Its time for our next class, and we better be there before the late bell rings in about five minutes.

English class is my least favorite. I may speak it, but I can't write to save my life. My handwriting is sloppy and I'm consistently spelling the simplest words wrong.

"Okay class, today we are going to bring up a debating topic. Things Worth fighting for. Winston Churchill once said two of my favorite quotes of all time. One; Success is not final, failure is not fatal: it is the courage to continue that counts. And Two; It's true some things were not meant to be and we should let them go... but some things are worth fighting for and we shouldn't give up until we've tried all we can."

I'm actually drawn to Mrs, Foulton's speech. It really gets me thinking a lot about Niall and myself. Maybe for once instead of trying to lose my fight to not give up, I should hold on like my life depends on it.

Notes

Updated! I already have the next six chapters and the ending in my head. I'm thinking about possibly making a sequel after. But don't worry, This story still has a long, long way to go before its done =} Oh and I should let you know, I have another acting job this week on a show called "South Of Hell" I don't know when I will be able to update. I only get 30 minute brakes... But I'll try!
