Don't Be Scared

I couldn't sleep so I made My way up to the hotel roof. California is extremely hot this time of year but the stars are out so That's a plus.


As I lay on My back looking up at the stars someone lays down beside me... it's Louis.


"Why are you up here by yourself? "


"I think the real question is: how did you know I was up here?"


"I asked first love."

"I couldn't sleep. When I was younger and couldn't sleep My mom used to take me outside to gaze at the stars."

"I saw you leave your room."

I look at him a little confused.

"You asked how I knew you were up here."

"Oh... Right, Sorry."

"You wanna tell me What's bothering you?"

"I don't know. Everything. I mean, I don't know how to calm down about Niall. "

"What about Niall? "

"Well earlier today when we All went out to eat he wouldn't even look at me, but as soon as we got back he couldn't keep his eyes off me. I mean Harry had no problem kissing Xenia at the restaurant or in public for that matter. "

I take a deep breath before continuing. " I feel like I'm some kind of dirty little secret. "

"Oh. I see. Trust me your not a secret. Your Beautiful and Niall thinks if people know your with him they might try to break you. He doesn't think your strong enough to handle the public just yet. You might run again and that scares him."

"I'm not going to run... Not this time. I love him and that scares me... Everyone I really love leave me. I guess with the way he's been acting I'm scared he'll leave me to."

I stand up and walk to the edge of the building. Looking down I see a crowd of people huddled around the hotel entrance. Without thinking I kick off my shoes and climb up on the ledge.

"Wow, Love what are you doing?"

"If I jump. No one down there would care. Now if you jump everyone would be devastated."

"That ain't true... I can name some people who would be completely lost if you jump. Me, Harry Liam, Zayn, Xenia. And most important Niall. "

"That's why I won't jump. " I climb back down and put my shoes back on.

"Hey. Why don't we have some fun while we're up here?"


"What kind of fun?"



"I have a pen. " He pulls a pen out of his pocket. " Do you have any paper? "

I dig into my pockets. "Here's a Wendy's coupon."

"That'll work." He takes the coupon and scribbles something on the back before handing it back to me.


"Why did you put my number and your name on here?"


"I'm not gonna put my number on it... Give me your hair tie." I


I do as He asks.

"Now do you got anything heavy? "

"There's a brick over there."

"I'm trying to get there attention not kill someone. "

"Your bottle. " I say pointing towards where He left it over where we were laying down. "It has your name on it and it's aluminum so it'll make a loud noise when it hits the ground. "


"But I love that bottle. "

"Your idea... Your stuff."

He grabs his bottle, looks at it then at me. "Fine." He ties the coupon around the bottle then closes his eyes and throws it over. There's a loud clank and a few screams. After a few minutes I give up.

"No one is going to call Louis. "

"Give it..." My phone rings. "Answer it."

"No you answer it."

I give him the phone. He hits talk then gives it to me. "I will kill you." I say before saying "Hello?" Into the phone.

"Hello is this Louis Tomlinson's number? "

"No it's Rio Shaw's number but Louis is here and he'll gladly take your call." She screams as I hand the phone to Louis. "It's for you. "

"Hello.... Yes Love.... No the lads aren't here.... I'm on the roof with Niall's girlfriend.... Yeah.... She is.... would you like to meet her.... we have to come down to get my bottle anyway... how old are you?... why are you up so late at your age... oh I see... bye see ya in a sec, love."

"She is what?" Surprisingly That's my only question.

"Pretty... c'mon let's go get my bottle. "
