'Nooooooooooo.'- My scream was loud, but no one heard it. I tried to open the car door and jump, but the hands of one of the men stopped me. - 'Who are you?'
I still couldn't see their faces, but that didn't bother me now.
'Hello again, honey!'- The man on the front seat took away his mask, and the others followed him. I recognized their faces immediately- David, Eric and Matthew.
That was a joke? Why me?
'Let me now or I'll scream!'
'Come on, scream!'- Matthew put a gun to my head.
For a moment- time stopped, and just like in the movies, everything moved slowly, I couldn't focus. My body started shaking and I closed my eyes, taking a deep breath. I leaned back and tried to figure out how to get out, but didn't want to act recklessly.
'That's better.'
No one could see me, no one could hear me. Erik was driving in an unknown direction, and I looked through the darkened window. Thoughts of the quarrel with Harry broke into my head. Poor Harry, I ruined his life. He did everything for me and I didn't even realize it. 'The distance will change us. Our relationship will be painfully empty.' I couldn't stop my tears, imagining again his sad eyes when I told him the news. I wanted to hug him now, I wanted to be with Harry. Why? We've suffered enough because of others' mistakes.
'We're here.'- Car braked to a stop and we came to a huge abandoned building.
The three got out, and I stayed inside. I tried to move to the driver's seat, but they saw me. Eric grabbed my hair and pulled me out.
'Let me go, you fool!'- I tried to hit him, but in vain. He pulled my arm and pushed me to the ground.
I had no strength to stand up and just stayed there.
'Get up. Don't be such a baby.'- David "helped" me to get up and we all went to the building.
It was almost torn down with broken windows. We went inside and headed to a room that looked like a warehouse. David pushed me to a chair and ordered me to sit down. Eric helped him to tie my hands and feet, so I couldn't escape. Their rough hands hurted my body, but they were ruthless. They didn't care.
'Why am I here?'
'Good question, Emma.'- Matthew's smirk reappeared on his face.- 'Your brother owes us money, but you already know that. I just decided to have some fun and later we'll get our money because we have you.'
'You are filthy animals!'
'Don't be so rude. The party starts now!'
I looked around, creating an escape plan, but there was nothing to help me. It was hopeless, there was no way out.
Matthew's phone rang and he smiled when he saw the name of the person who was calling.
'Just on time, Jace.'
Jace? Jace called him. Did he know anything?
'We decided to have fun with something or should I say someone... that you love.'
I tried to stand up, but Eric's hand stopped me. His grip was so strong that I moaned in pain. I was almost sure that my whole body was bruised.
'Shh, we just want our money. Wait for my call and don't call the police!'
Police? Matthew had a plan and I could see it in his eyes. He ended the call and smirked.
'Well, Emma. Your brother is too naive and will get what he deserved.'
'Don't you dare hurt him!'
'Oh, you're not in a position to threaten me, sweetheart.'
Matthew stroked my cheek and got closer. His lips touched mine forcefully and he stopped me from pulling away. My teeth bit his lower lip really hard.
'Let go of me, you bitch!'- I was hurting him so much and stopped when I tasted the blood.
His fist punched my face. The hit was so strong that the pain was unbearable.
The minutes were insufferable. I prayed for rescue...for a miracle.
Slowly closed my eyes, hoping that when I open them, everything will disappear. I hoped this was just a horrible nightmare.
