Harry's POV

'They offered me two years practice in "Glamour" New York.'
My smile disappeared from my face and I turned away, going into the kitchen. I couldn't believe what she said.
'Hey, Harry...'- She touched my shoulder, but I pulled away. -'What's wrong?'
'What's wrong? The problem is that you'll be there two years or maybe more, leaving me here alone.'- I didn't want to lose her, not now. She was my life and I couldn't let her go.
'Hey, wait a minute. I didn't accept, but actually you're the one who's going to leave me for almost a year. You'll go on tour to make your dreams come true. But I can't do the same right?'
'Do whatever you want, I'm going out.'- I had to escape, I couldn't look at her eyes.
'What is happening? How long will you keep that way? Everything was so beautiful, we went through so many difficulties...'
'The distance will change us. Our relationship will be painfully empty.'
'You should support me, this is important.'
I stood silently and stared at her blankly. I didn't say anything, but I wanted to hug her so bad. I wanter to tell her that everything would be okay. I couldn't let her go. I loved her so much
'I don't know what to say, Harry.'- She just turned the other way and took Ares' strap.
I closed my eyes and a tear streamed down my face. I was an idiot, a big idiot... Everything was perfect, we were perfect. What did I do? I had to be happy for her and be next to Emma supporting her decision.
I sat back on the couch leaning back my head. I remembered her smile, eyes, kiss and touch. She was happy with me. What the hell did I do?
My phone rang, but I didn't want to answer. I didn't want to talk with no one, but then I realized that it could be Emma.
'Harry, is that you?'- It wasn't her, but the voice was trembling.
'Yeah, who's that?'
'It's Bella. Is Emma with you?'
'Erm, no. We had a fight and she went out with Ares.'
'Oh, God.'
I was scared because she sounded really uneasy.
'What's wrong?'
'I don't know. Emma called me and wanted to talk. She said that she's going with Ares to the park next to your flat, but then something happened. She started screaming and I heard a shot...'- Bella was crying on the phone.
I was shocked and froze in place. I wasn't sure if this was real. I hoped this is all just a bad nightmare.
'Go and save her, Harry.'
I left my phone on the couch and ran out of my flat. I didn't know where to go, I just kept running.
I heard police sirens and followed the noise. There was an ambulance and a police car. The place was crowded and people were talking really loud. I pushed them to see if Emma was there. I froze in place because I couldn't believe my eyes. Ares was laying on the street, there was a hole in his body. Someone killed my dog, but who? I ran to hug the dead body, but the police stopped me.
'Where's Emma?'- I asked them still looking for her.
'Who's Emma, sir?'
'My girlfriend, she was with the dog.'
'Sorry, sir. It was only the dog here.'
I looked around, my whole world stopped for a while. I wrapped hands around my waist.
'Where are you, Emma?'- I whispered to myself.
My body was trembling, I lost her. What happened?
I knew who would know where she was and I drove to see that filthy animal. He ruined our life, our chance, every fucking moment. It was beautiful, we were beautiful, but his mistakes influenced us.
I didn't knock on the door, just pushed it with my leg and entered the apartment. Jace was sitting on his couch with a beer and turned around panicky.
'Where is she?'- I grabbed his shirt and shouted in his face.
'Who?'
'Emma! Where is Emma?'- I shouted again, but he was surprised to hear this question.
'I don't know. I haven't seen her, she hates me.'
'Sure she does. I'll ask you again...'
'Man, I don't know. What happened?'
I released my grip and sat on the couch. My head between my legs, it was hopeless.
'She's gone. I don't know what happened. We had a fight, she went out with our dog. Bella called and told me that Emma's in danger. Someone shot Ares on the street and now Emma's missing.'
Jace's face turned pale, he really didn't know anything about the whole situation.
'No, no, no...'
'What, Jace?'
'No, he didn't...'
'Tell me, Jace!'- My face was close to his, so I could see his fear.
'I owe money to Matthew and he gave me a month to give him the money back.'
'What money? What are you talking about?'- I knew that guy Matthew because I punched him in the face and he was threatening Emma.
'My business is dirty, man. I lost a big package with drugs. He wanted ten thousand pounds, but I couldn't find... Matthew told me he's going to kill me.'
'You are an idiot. Now, you sister is in danger because of you and your stupid games.'- I couldn't just sit there, so I punched him in the face.
Jace begged me to stop, but I wanted to make him pay.
'Call him.'
'Who?'
'Call Matthew now!'- I shouted in his bloody face.
He quickly grabbed his phone and waited for an answer.
'Turn on the speaker!'- I whispered to him.
We heard a strange noise and then his voice made my whole body tense.
'What's up, Mat?'- Jace tried to sound normal, but his voice trembled.
'Just on time, Jace.'
'What do you mean?'
'We decided to have fun with something or should I say someone... that you love.'
'I'm gonna kill you, fool!'
'Shh, we just want our money. Wait for my call and don't call the police!'
