My Guitar

The boy helps me get the tempo, then reaches around me to help with chords and strumming. He's... He feels really strong, and warm. I wonder why? But as we began the starting chords, I recognised the song. It was the one Tess'd been bugging me to play, the one I'd played earlier that day. Suddenly, there was warm breath on my ear, a lilting voice. "You're going to sing my part, it's coming up. I'll sing the chorus with Harry, but then you have to take over with the 'You'll never love yourself half as much as I love you... to the Oh,' okay?" I just nod, focusing on the chords. I register him singing, along with another voice, and it's beautiful.
"I wont let these little things
Slip out of my mouth
but if It's true

He indicated where to come in by taking a breath, and I just breathed with him and started. He kind of whispered how it should go into my ear the whole time, but still. It went okay.
"You'll never love yourself
Half as much as I love you
You'll never treat yourself right darling

Maybe you'll love yourself like I love you
Oh...." I heard another girl take over, and just kept strumming. I suppose it wasn't too bad...
We all came in for the chorus at the end, and it actually sounded pretty good, considering only five of us were professional singers.
"I won't let these little things

It ended, and everybody clapped. The other four girls on stage got hugs from all the boys, little slips of paper, but mine didn't let me go. He handed me the guitar, and said I was joining the band. Just for this one concert? Pretty please? Once? Finally I caved.
"Fine. One song?"
His face fell. "Only one?"
