Unexpected

(Anna's POV)

I wake up to an empty room, trying to move my pain actually feels better. I turn over to face the door and notice I'm not alone. "Hey love" Ezra says while smiling "hi" I say back "I just talked" "you did" he nods "how did it feel?" "fine" I smile. wow that didn't take long to get better. Ezra stands up from his chair and joins me in bed "you really fucking worried me" he kisses my lips, a feeling that I missed so much "I thought you weren't going to wake up" "what? why?" "Anna you've been unconscious for almost four weeks" immediate shock spreads across my entire body. Four weeks, that's almost a month "I've been in the hospital for a month?" He nods his head, confirming my thoughts "why?" "Not today, I'll tell after your completely better. ok" oh no something happened, I can feel it. "I'll be right back, I'm gonna get your doctor" "ok" after he leaves I start to panic a little... ok a lot. I know something is wrong, why won't he tell me. where is everyone? Why the hell was I unconscious for four weeks? The last thing I remember was Harry coming into the room because I wanted to talk to him. What happened? "Hi Anna" I look over to see a girl that looks like she's my age or a little older, with blonde hair, and blue eyes. "hi" Ezra walks in behind her and Zayn behind him "hey Annie, feeling better?" I nod and he smiles. I'm still not use to seeing him, how is he alive? "I'm Doctor Edwards, but you can just call me Perrie. I'm your new doctor" she walks over and checks the machine I'm hooked up to "ok" she turns to me "let's get this machine off of you huh?" "Please" she laughs and takes the wires off of my chest and the tubing out of my nose. Oh it feels so good, I feel like I've been restrained this entire time. After she's done examining me she takes a seat "alright Ms. Payne, everything looks fine. Your spine has healed up nicely, your ribs are still working on themselves but they should be fine in a couple weeks, the rest of your injuries weren't that severe so I'm not worried too much about them. I do need to take you to get an MRI of your head to make sure your skull fractures have healed before I let you leave, ok?" "Uhm-" "Zayn can go with you if you'd like, or Ezra" I nod and she says "great"

The MRI didn't take too long, now I'm just sitting in a wheelchair waiting for the results with Ezra. he starts giggling and I look at him like he's crazy "what's funny?" "You remember that time we went down to the market and I threw you in the back of the food cart and pushed you around" I start laughing now "yes! Then you pushed me and let go!" "Ah you had fun" I shake my head "I went down a hill at 20 miles an hour!" He gets up and grabs my wheelchair "nah it was only like 10" he kisses the back of my head and I feel him smile "admit it you had fun... and you would love it if I pushed you in this wheelchair" it starts to move "Nononono!" I can't help it I start to laugh "see! It's fun" he turns me around so I'm looking at him "my little adrenaline junky" he winks "I'm not-" he raises an eyebrow "fine ok... it's fun. Just because it's you though" "alright Anna" doctor Edwards comes back into the room "results are back and... your skull has healed up quite nicely" she puts up the scans to a light "see that there? That is where the fracture was, these new MRI scans show that it is gone" Ezra rubs my shoulders "can she come home?" "If that is what she wants yes" "what do you mean? If that's what I want" "I don't want to over step boundaries and I'm sorry if I offend you, but if home is where Mr. Styles is then I can't recommend you going back" reality hit me when she said that. She's right, I can't go back there and I don't want to. Ezra breaks the silence "that isn't were home is, not anymore. Not for us" I look at him then back at doctor Edwards "can we have a minute of privacy?" She nods and walks back into the MRI room. "what do you mean that's not home?" I ask him "Harry kind of got um... sent to a mental hospital while you were unconscious. Love he tried to kill himself" oh my god I knew it, I knew something was wrong. I can't believe he tried to do that. Again.

I didn't talk the entire wheelchair ride back to my room, Ezra would ask if I was ok, and Doctor Edwards told me I could leave first thing tomorrow morning, but I just couldn't speak. All I kept thinking about was Harry - I thought he stopped hurting himself - this is my fault. finally my brain can muster up a sentence, but it's not exactly what I wanted to say "did he do this because of me?" Ezra sighs and scratches his arm - a nervous habit he's always had - "no one knows why, he hasn't talked to anyone since, not even Liam." I close my eyes, trying not to cry, and nod my head "Anna you can't blame yourself for this-" "all this is my fault! If I didn't curl my hair that damn day none of this would be happening" "no if he let you explain none of this would be happening. But no he beat the shit out of you and chose to believe you were a whore" I flinch at that word, I hate it when Harry calls me that. He tends to do it a lot, I should be use to hearing it by now but it still hurts. "I'm sorry, I didn't mean to make you upset. I just don't think you should blame yourself, none of this is your fault" I nod my head in agreement, but I don't agree with him it is my fault and it's killing me. "So where do we live now?" I decide to change the subject, he smiles "me, you, Zayn-" "and me!" Doctor Edwards walks in and says happily. She walks over to my bed and sits on the edge "Zayn hired me to be your personal doctor/nurse, just in case something happens" "you mean incase Harry gets out of the hospital?" "... Yeah" she puts her hand on mine and I smile at her "so, no more doctor business. Just Perrie." "Ok" Ezra gets up and claps his hands "oh I can see it now... Perrie paint my nails, Anna do my hair!" He says in a high pitched voice "and don't forget the shopping" Perrie says and Ezra's eyes go wide "oh please no not the shopping" he gets down on his knees and crawls over to me "anything but the shopping" he lays his head on my stomach and me and Perrie burst with laughter. "I'll let you push me around in a cart" I say petting his head, he chuckles and says "deal" Zayn walks in with a huge smile on his face "well we got the house" a house... wow. I've never lived in an actual house before.

Its going to take us nine hours to drive to the new house, we haven't stop much, just to fill up the gas tank. Perrie fell asleep in the front seat next to Zayn, Ezra fell asleep next to me, but I wasn't tired. "you asleep too Annie?" I kick his backseat, playing. "nope, you?" He chuckles "nah I'm good... how are you feeling do you need any painkillers?" "Maybe in a little bit, but I can handle it for now" he digs for the pain bottles in Perrie's purse and throws them to me "take em now Anna" he says in his 'serious voice' "fine, do you have water?" He throws his water bottle at me, luckily I catch it. "Zayn?" I ask after I swallow the pills "mhm" "what happened when I was unconscious?" "A lot" you've got to be kidding me "Zayn-" "Anna, not until your completely better" I huff "that's what Ezra said" i see him smirk in the mirror "I know, we are only not telling you for your own good" "I already know about Harry" he doesn't say anything for a while... the silence is horrible, me and Zayn have never not talked to each other "Zayn, I'm sorry I'll stop asking. Please don't be mad at me" he pulls the car over and I don't know weather it's my nerves or I'm still not over what Harry did to me, but I'm scared. For the first time in my life I'm scared of Zayn. He opens my door and holds out his hand, wanting me to take it and get out "Z-Zayn I'm s-sorry I-" he takes my hand and pulls me out. I close my eyes because I'm expecting to get hit, instead I get a hug "Annie I'm not going to hurt you, I'm not mad at you" he let's go of me but still holds my shoulders gently "alright?" I nod and he pulls me in for another hug "can I get in on this?" I turn around and see Ezra laughing "no you get her enough, let me hug my little sister" I smile and bury my head in his neck "not fair" Ezra throws the bottle of water at Zayn, playing. Zayn laughs and says "I just came back from the dead, I need me some Annie hugs" "alright, alright" I say as I pull away from Zayn "little sister needs to lay down for a bit" Ezra gets out of the car and holds on to me "are you ok? What's wrong?" "Just a little dizzy" "I gave her some painkillers, she was uncomfortable" Ezra nods and lifts me up. I guess I took the wrong medicine because I really don't feel good all of a sudden, I'm just really really dizzy and tired "wake Perrie up" I hear Ezra's voice, but it's more like an echo "what's wrong? Anna what did you take?" "I gave her these" all this is going on around me but in my mind time is slow... I don't like it. "how many did you take?" I only took one "Anna! Anna!?" I only took one... why can't they hear me?

(Ezra's POV)
"Anna! Anna!?" Her head falls and her body goes limp "What the fuck did you give her!?" I
scream at Zayn "Ezra calm down" Perrie's voice comes out as a whisper "she only took one, I counted the pills. She will be fine, it's normal to feel like this when you take Oxy" A flush of relief washes through me "are you sure?" "Positive, by the time we get home it will be out of her system" Zayn puts a hand on my shoulder and motions for me to get out of the car with him. He shuts the door behind us and leans against the trunk "I've never seen anything like that before" my eyes go wide "what do you mean, do you think the pills are-" he shakes his head no "no I meant I've never seen anyone treat Anna like that" what the hell is he talking about "what?" he chuckles "you, you really love her don't you?" "yeah... I really do" he smiles and pushes himself away from the car "good, because if you end up hurting her-" I stop him before he can finish "don't even, I would never put a hand on her. Are you serious? All that she's been through, all that we've been through, and your going to give me a lecture about not hurting her. I'd rather jump off a cliff than harm one part of her... even if its emotional, I'm not going to hurt her in any kind of way" by the time I'm done my little rant I'm out of breath and Zayn is smirking. He grabs me by me jacket and brings me back to the car door "I'm glad you said that, that's exactly what I wanted you to say and do" "we'll I'm glad your satisfied" Perrie giggles from the front seat as I sit in the back "what?" "nothing, your a good guy Ezra. Anna is lucky she has you" I smile and say "thank you" I lift Anna's head up and place it on my lap so she can be somewhat comfortable. We only have four hours to go - didn't want anyone to find us, just because Harry is in the looney bin doesn't mean Liam can't try to find her. That bastard wouldn't hesitate to kill her, or me. The reason it took Anna so long to wake up was because he paid doctor Claire to kill her, thank god Louis found out before it was too late. Or she wouldn't be here right now, so 'it's only fair that he's going to live with us too' At least that's what Zayn said when I objected.
By the time my body relaxed and I was close to falling asleep we were home. I look down at Anna and she's still out "c'mon mate let's go" "help me carry Anna inside? she's still asleep" he gets out and comes over to the back, I grab Anna's head and Zayn grabs her legs "wait!" He furrows his eyebrows "my legs are asleep, just give me a minute" he chuckles and puts Anna's legs back down "take all the time you need, I'll get Lou" I nod in agreement and try to move my legs around. The more I move my legs the more they feel like pin cushions "Zayn!" C'mon you've got to be kidding me, where the fuck did he go? Perrie comes running out of the house looking frantic "what's wrong!?" She gets into the car and locks all the doors "Perrie what the hell is going on!?" She's out of breath and her face is red "he's- he- Louis isn't in there- and-" she's interrupted by Zayn getting in the car and slamming the door shut quickly "SOMEONE BETTER TALK!" He starts the car and it skids out of the drive way "ZAYN!!" "Shut up for a bloody minute! I need to think" it's almost an hour since anyone had said anything and I'm getting really pissed off "is anyone going to tell me what happened back there?" Zayn pulls the car over and takes a deep breath "Louis wasn't there and the house was a wreck, I think Liam found out we were going to be there" fucking idiot "Zayn go back to the house" he shoots me a look "no are you insane!?" "No I'm not, remember Louis was getting the furniture? he texted me that they sent the wrong stuff and he had to go back to the store... he said he sent you that text too" I hear Zayn curse under his breath, he then starts to turn the car around "damn it! why didn't you tell me?" I scoff "because none of you would tell me what the fuck was going on. How could I tell you when I didn't know the situation?" no one answers me... per usual, and the only noise in the car is Anna's faint breathing and mumbles.
(Anna's POV)
My eyes burn when I try to open them and the pain in my back is agonizing. It feels like knives are digging into my spine constantly, like my skin is being ripped open all over again. I try to roll over because I'm laying on my back, maybe it'll help some of the pain subside. Moving my legs first, I relize they are trapped. My heart starts to race... ok Anna think back, what happened before you fell asleep? We were driving, Ez and Perrie fell asleep, I took pain medicene, thought Zayn was mad at me, started to feel dizzy- oh my god, no this can't be happening. How did he find me, I though he was put away. I slowly push throught the burning and open my eyes. The room I'm in is definitely not Harry's flat, its beautiful. A massive window is in front of me, an old antique rockingchair is placed in the corner of the room, the walls are nice and crisp white. This is not the grey dungeon of Harry's bedroom. I roll my body the opposite way and see Ezra fast alseep, drool running down his lips, and a hand plastered to his forhead. I can't help the giggle that escapes my lips. "Don't laugh at me cuddles, you should have seen yourself last night" he wraps his arms around me and pulls me close. Dear lord his morning voice is sexy, all gravely and slow "did you know you mumble in your sleep?" he chuckles after he asks, I shake my head 'no' "when did we get here?" "mmm a little after two in the morning, we had some complications" complications?! panic strikes and I start to shake "hey hey its ok, nothing like that. We got here and the place was a wreck, Zayn thought Liam found you, but he didn't Louis just needed to move some things around" thank goodness, I take a deep breath and let what Ezra told me sink in... "Louis is here?" he nods "yeah, Zayn's idea... I don't like, I'm not leaving you alone with him. Ever." I nod in agreement. I'm thankful that Louis saved me when Harry was doing that, but I also remember everything Louis did to me before that. I know I told him that I forgave him, and I do... kind of. But just because I forgive him doesn't mean I trust him. Not all the way. "wanna see the house?" Ezra sits up all excited and I smile "after you hold me somemore?" a huge grin spreads across his face and he lays back down "just can't get enough of me can you?" I snuggle into his chest and lay my leg over his "never"

I mentioned earlier that I might do a double update tonight but I haven't finished the next chapter and I'm really REALLY tired! My classes started this week and I'm overwhelmed already :(

So the next update will probably be Monday or Tuesday at the latest.
