Letters (Niall love story)

As soon as she hung up, I started kicking myself. Why I had waited so damn long to tell her my feelings? When would it ever change? I tossed my phone on the bed and ran downstairs to kick a football around.

About two hours later, I came back up stairs and started pacing, trying to decide what to do. Finally, I sighed and walked over to the false drawer in my desk. I pulled out the stack of letters clipped together with a paper clip. I sat down in my desk chair and started sifting through them, trying to find the first one, then as I found that one, put them all in order. See, these were secret love letters I wrote to Kara but never sent. As I stared down at them, I came to one conclusion. I would have to send them to her so she would understand how I felt about her and maybe I could change her mind.

I reached for a pen and paper, and wrote this note:

Kara,
Please read the enclosed letters in the order they are marked in. Try to read one each day or two a day. Don't show them to Matt. I hope these letters will clear up some things for you and maybe take this weight off of my shoulders. Please try not to let this affect our friendship if you don't feel the same.

I signed the note then dropped the note in a big yellow envelope along with the letters. I then addressed the envelope, stuck a stamp on it, and sealed it. Quickly, so I wouldn't lose my courage, I walked downstairs and dropped it into our mailbox. I turned around and thought about what I had just done.
