Letters (Niall love story)

I frowned as Niall and I signed off after FaceTiming for about an hour. He had seemed distant and lost in thought after I told him Matt proposed to me. Glancing down, I admired the gorgeous ring that I had received from him. We had been together for about three years, and I honestly thought I had found the love of my life. But when I told Niall, the light had dimmed in his eyes, and he seemed...almost sad. But why? He told me dozens of times how much he liked Matt.
Anyway, I had to stop worrying about this.

"Babe?" Matt called from downstairs after getting home from work.
"Coming!" I yelled back. I looked back at my phone, then shook it out of my head and headed downstairs to greet my fiancé....oooh I loved saying that.
I hurried downstairs to where he was slipping his coat and boots off and he looked up at me approaching and a breathtaking smile overtook his face.
"Hey there beautiful", he spoke, stealing the breath from my lips.
"Hey," I replied, blushing slightly.
He walked over to me and leaned down and kissed me softly on my lips. My hands traveled upwards to his hair as his arms wound around my waist. We broke apart and smiled gently at each other.
No one could tell me that Matt wasn't the love of my life, and I was absolutely ready to become Mrs. Harmon.
