"I can't believe how much you have grown." Dad says as he looks at Stephanie and laughs. She smiles politely and I shake my head as I look at him.

"It has been ten years Dad.." I say and he looks to me and his eyes widen. It must be scary as a parent, watching time fly by and taking your kids with it. Their no longer babies anymore, unless you have my Mum. She's reluctant to let us ever stop being her babies. She can be quite sensitive like that.

"I hope our Harry has got you a good present." Dad says as we somehow fall onto the topic of Christmas.

"It doesn't matter-" Steph says politely but I interrupt her.

"I've got you something. But I'm not saying anymore." I answer and she smiles. My Dad smirks at me and nods.

My Dad can be one of those Dad's who constantly cracks jokes and likes to tease his kids. And sometimes when he's serious, he's quite hard to crack, he's never nasty or rude, he just shuts down.

I look to Mum as she starts to find the music channels, I've lost count how many times I've told her the number and to just press the up channel to scan through the others. Now I let her take ages to get to them. Once she's found the Christmas channel and Shakin' Stevens' Merry Christmas Everyone starts, she guides us to the kitchen where she has alcohol and soft drinks on the garden table. She brings it in every Christmas.

"Everyone, help yourselves." She says and I look at Stephanie asking her what she'd like. She goes for the snowball, although that's hardly a drink, my Mum starts to make it for her. I take the vodka and start to pour myself a vodka and coke. I can only have one as I'm dropping Steph home.

"Thanks Anne." Stephanie says as she sips the snowball.

"Are you excited for Santa to bring you presents then?" Mum smiles teasingly at us, I roll my eyes and laugh.

"Definately excited." Stephanie plays along with her and Mum smiles.

"I miss that, all the excitement with the kids and Santa. It made Christmas so special." Mum says as she puts her arm around my waist. "You used to worry about how Santa would know where you live." Mum adds as she looks at me. I try not to smile at her embarrassment as I look away.

"Don't worry, I used to panic that we never had a chimney or a fireplace. I had no idea how santa would get in." Stephanie adds and I can't help but laugh with my parents, that was probably the cutest thing I've ever heard her say.

"Bless you sweetie." Mum says as she let's go of me and takes her drink. "Do you two remember the Christmas party you both went too when you were little?" Mum asks as she looks at us. I frown as I try to remember, Stephanie smiles indicating she must remember.

"At the small town hall?" Stephanie asks and Mum nods.

"You two would hardly talk to each other, Susan and I had no idea why." Mum answers and I suddenly remember. Jeez, Why did she have to bring this up?

"I can't quite remember either." Stephanie says as she looks at me and I pretend I don't know either as I shrug. "Probably something petty." She adds laughing.

"It was really unlike you two as we could never usually get you two apart." Mum says and I look away and sip some of my drink.

"I remember, they wouldn't even talk." Dad says joining in, I look at him and shake my head smirking. He instantly realises that I'm not too comfortable with this conversation. Bloody parents trying to embarrass us by the past.

"Well it was a long time ago." Mum says as her and Steph try to remember what had happened. They both fall quiet.

"Is your brother coming home for Christmas?" Dad asks diverting their attention away from the past. I glance at Dad who winks at me and I smile. But I then look at Stephanie as I haven't even asked her this myself.

"Yeah, he's coming later." Stephanie beams. It's good how one day of the year really helps bring people and families together. "Are you all still coming over tomorrow?" She adds.

"Yes definately." Mum answers happily. Dad nods with a smile. I look to Stephanie and she smiles at me."So what's the latest with you both? Have you asked her own ut yet?" Mum asks and I ignore the fact that she really doesn't care about embarrassing her only son. Luckily, I'm proud of Steph and I don't get too embarrassed.

"Yep " I answer and Mum smiles gladly. She said to me before that I wouldn't find anyone else like Stephanie. She's brought the good out in me and I like the person I've become. I look to Stephanie as it's so hard not to tell them our other news, but I resist as I know we will wait until after Christmas. Infact, we haven't even decided when we want to tell our parents.

"We literally just became official." Steph smiles. "And hopefully this time around things will be different." She says as she looks at me, clearly she's thinking the same as me.

"Well I think it's lovely." Mum says smiling and I smile back at her. I excuse us from the kitchen and we head up towards my bedroom.

"Sorry about them, they love Christmas and often get over happy." I smirk as I open my bedroom door.

"It's fine, I like the happy atmosphere. I also think it's great that they're are spending time together." Stephanie says as she closes the door behind her.

"Yeah it isn't every year we do this, I guess we are lucky this year. Dad has met someone else but he's apparently seeing her Christmas morning." I say as it still sounds really weird to say that. My parents should be together, not with other people. But that's the joy isn't it of this day and age, hardly anyone stays together once married. I'd never want to marry someone to just divorce them in years time.

"Are you okay about that?" Steph asks and I nod as I'm fine, I'm not too bothered to talk about it.

"Anyway, let's talk about something different. I can't believe we are spending Christmas together. Louis was gutted I'm not going home in the evening." I laugh and Steph frowns.

"Are they doing anything in the evening? I hope he isn't alone Harry!" Steph says with worry.

"No he's not alone, they are both going to their families in the day and then they'll have them over for the little Christmas party their putting on at the flat." I answer and Steph nods. We're lucky we've got out quite a big flat for all the things Louis wants to do.

"Well why don't we go there together? I know you'd have to drive but I don't mind coming with you." Stephanie smiles and I frown at her generosity.

"Don't be silly, Louis will be fine without me." I say as I thank her.

"But I think it could be a nice surprise for him. It's your first Christmas in that flat. I could always come back after boxing day and then I'll come back a few days after, as I'm going to stay with you until New Years?" Stephanie suggest and I sit down.

"But I want to spend it with you. New Years Eve will be when everyone's together. You, Niall, Zayn and Chloe are staying over. I want tomorrow just us, around our families will be nice. I'll face time Louis tomorrow." I say as I take her hand.

"Okay, only if you're sure." She says as she leans her head on to my shoulder. She quickly moves again as her phone rings, it's Chloe.

I listen casually as she answers the phone, she looks at me frowning and suddenly mentions ice skating. I love ice skating and what could be more romantic than doing that with Steph on Christmas eve?

"Hold on Chloe.." She says as she covers the phone with her hand and looks to me. "Chloe, Lucy and Niall are going ice skating. Do you want to go?" She asks with very little enthusiasm.

"Definately." I answer confidently. Stephanie rolls her eyes and I take it she doesn't like ice skating. She member hand away and starts to arrange the plans.

"Are you ready then?" Steph sighs as she looks at me and hangs up.

"Don't go if you don't want to.." I sigh as I look at her and smile.

""It's just I'm rubbish. I've been once which was last Christmas and I think I spent all of the time on my bum." Steph shakes her head and the memory.

"Well I'll help you.." I say as I grab a warm jumper from my wardrobe. "Do you want a hoodie?" I ask looking at her. She has a coat but I know how cold it's going to become.

"Thanks, I'll take one just incase." Steph says and I pass her my old purple Jack Wills hoodie. I haven't worn that in years as it would no longer fit me now. "I hate Jack Wills." She smirks looking at me.

"I don't wear it anymore.." I laugh and she smiles.

"Right what time we going then?" I ask as I get myself ready. Stephanie answers by saying the others are heading there now. She doesn't have to tell me twice. "Come on then." I smirk as I grab her hand and pull her up.

Stephanie's POV

I hold on to the side reluctant to letting go. If I just stay here and everyone skates around me, then I'll be fine. I watch Lucy and Chloe who aren't amazing but they can actually move, Harry however is pretty good. Poor Niall is just as bad as me.

"I shouldn't have agreed to this." Niall laughs as he holds on to the railing with me.

"I know, I hate them for bringing us here." I moan and suddenly Harry appears at my side.

"You going to let me help you now?" He asks with a smile. I shake my head. I look up to see a member of staff giving Niall and I a penguin each to help us.

"But this is for children." I ask in disbelief and the staff member shakes his head.

"No it's for anyone who is a learner." He says with a smile on his face. I suddenly laughing stock and I leave the penguin thing to the side. I look to see Niall skating of with his, he doesn't care what he looks like but he can get away with it. He actually looks sweet bless him.

"Come on Steph, trust me." Harry says as he holds his hand out. I.close my eyes and sigh before quickly opening them as it's not a good idea to close your eyes when on an ice rink, if you're not very good at it.

"Fine." I snap as I take his hand and he starts to pull me along. "Harry! Slow down!" I shout and he ignores me. I quickly try to get my feet to glide smoothly as I really can't fall over, I had so many bruises last time and I don't want them again.

"You're doing really good." Harry smiles and I look at him as I try to keep up. Suddenly he lets me go and my legs start to shake. "You're doing it Steph." He grins proudly and I smile, I start to get a little too big for my boots as I go a little faster but I begin to lose my balance as I feel my legs starting to give way. I suddenly fall backwards but Harry catches me and I'm suddenly spinning around. "I've got you" He adds.

"I need to stop." I sigh as he guides me towards the edge. "Thanks." I add as I look away embarrassed.

"Steph you did great and not everyone is good. We all fall over." Harry says trying to make me feel better. I shake my head as everyone here besides a couple of younger children, are pretty good.

"Except for you, what are you some pro?" I snap and Harry shakes his head and smirks.

"You think I'm good?" He asks as he starts to skate backwards from me. "Maybe I'm not that bad, but I'm still learning." He grins and I roll my eyes at him.

"Show off." I say as I watch him and he laughs. He starts to skate towards me. I can't deny how hot he looks right now, that cheeky smile on his face. I can't help but smile at him.

"But we can all lose our balance." He adds as he gets closer to me.

"Go careful!" I snap as I see his legs starting to shake. He reaches out for me and suddenly his arms flap around as he falls backwards on to the ice. "Harry!" I gasp without trying to laugh.

"See..we all fall down." He laughs and I shake my head at him trying not to smile. I know he did it on purpose to make me feel better but he could have hurt himself.

"Are you okay?" I ask and he nods as he stands up.

"So don't worry if you fall, it's easily done." He adds as he leans forward and kisses me. I laugh as he pulls away.

"Come on less smooching." Lucy jokes as she skates past us. I watch her as she goes quite fast.

"And less falling Harry!" Chloe teases and Harry looks at me and smirks. We both watch them as Chloe tries to catch up with Lucy, but I have to say Lucy is the best out of us all. I look over to Niall who is now getting rid of the penguin thing and is going by himself, I start to cheer him on and he smiles without looking at me as he looks petrified. I turn to face Harry.

"I love you." I say as I look at him. As he goes to say it back Chloe grabs him as Lucy grabs me, oh shit stay calm Steph and stay on your feet.

I hate ice skating!

Harry's POV

I pull up outside Stephanie's house and I turn to her watching her remove her seat belt, her eyes dude lay land on me.

"Thanks for today." Steph says as she leans over and kisses me. As she pulls away I smile at her, I can't get her out of my head at how cute she looked when she was skating. In the end she did really well and because I decided to try and cheer her up, my bum really is paying the price right now.

"You're welcome, I enjoyed it." I say as I take my seatbelt off and I walk her to the door, "So I'll see you tomorrow afternoon." I add as I smile at her.

"I can't believe tomorrow is Christmas Day." Stephanie smiles as she puts her arms around me. I agree with her as time has just flown by. I kiss the top of her head as I let her go. "Let's hope you've been a good boy and you could everything you've wished for" Steph adds cheekily. I smirk as I shrug.

"Get inside, it's cold." I say as I walk away towards my car. " Oh and There's only one thing that I really want for Christmas that I bet you haven't even thought of." I say as I open the car door, she frowns as she looks at me.

"What is it?" She asks as she looks slightly puzzled.

"She's standing outside your door." I wink as I open the car door and climb in, Stephanie smiles and she looks slightly embarrassed, I love it when her cheeks go a shade of pink. I start the car and beep the horn as I wave at her whilst driving off, she waves as she opens the door and walks inside.

"What are you doing dancing with Kyle Forest?" I ask as I walk up to Stephanie. I've only just walked into this stupid christmas party and there she is dancing with the most annoying kid in town.

"He asked me to dance and I couldn't be rude and say no.." She answers as we stop outside the toilets. "What's the big deal?" She asks.

"I've told you to stay clear of him, he's not a good person." I snap as I hide behind this assumption. Truth is I like Stephanie and I'm the only boy she is supposed to trust and spend time with. To see her with someone else actually made me feel wound up and hurt.

"He's not that bad as you think, he was very polite." Steph says as she folds her arms in a matter of fact way. I really wish I didn't crush on one of my best friends.

" Fine, see what I care." I snap as I walk away from her. I wish I could tell her that I like her but I don't want to ruin our friendship. Is it normal to get such strong feelings at such a young age? I don't fancy anyone else at school or who I hang out with. So why do I fancy Stephanie?

I walk back into the party and I see some friends I go to school with. The boys are messing around skidding around everywhere and trying to look up girls skirts. Whilst the girls who are grouped together are giggling at the boys. My best mate Chris waves over to me and I walk towards him, I lose my attention as I notice Stephanie walking back in.

She's so pretty, I wish I wasn't such good friends with her. As her eyes fall on mine I look away, I've never fell out with her before so this for me is really weird and it really sucks.

"Hi Harry, do you want to dance?" Bethany, a girl in my class asks me shyly. I nod as I take her hand and I walk to the dance floor. My parents and Steph's parents volunteered to help out and I really wish they didn't. It's not as fun when you have your Mum 'Awwing' at you.

I look over Bethany's shoulder as I watch Stephanie talking to the Kyle Forest again. She looks past him and looks at me. Her eyes fill with sadness and I frown to why she's suddenly looking disappointed. She doesn't like me too? Does she?
