Camping Trip

Rachel's P.O.V.

The walk back to the campsite was painfully silent. It was worth it though, to see Brianna and Michael so awkward. I couldn't believeour plan had actually worked. I mean I had a weird long to set people up all the time cause lets face it,couples are adorable but normally it took longer than this.

The whole walk back and I either smirked at Brianna or nudged Ashton, pleased that we had managed it. We were pretty close to the campsite when I spoke up.

"You know, we really wouldnt want to interrupt whatever of it was that happened back there so Mickey,why dont you just stay in our tent tonight and I'll sleep in yours with Ash" I offered,waggling my eyebrows suggestively.

Brianna gasped and her cheeks instantly flushed red. However, I noticed she wasn't the only one. Ashtons cheeks had suddenly become a lot more red that usual and he was pointedly avoiding my gaze. Weird.

Michael chuckled a little, rubbing the back of his neck awkwardly.

"You don't mind do you Ashton?" I asked, pretty confused by his reaction. It wasnt like we hadnt slept in the same room before. What'sthe difference?

He met my eye at last giving me a shy smile.

"Of course not" he replied before turning to face Brianna and Michael.

"Wouldn't wanna intrude on the lovebirds" Ashton put emphasis on the word 'lovebirds' for some reason and I just shrugged it off.

"Well thats that settled then!" I announced happily.

Brianna was staring at me as if I was insane and Michael seemed to be unsure of whether or not we were joking.

However, neither had a chance to argue as we arrived back at the campsite and I quickly pulled Ashton away towards the water, leaving them behind confused and embarrassed.

"It actually worked!" I squeled in triumph once we had stopped walking,flinging my arms around Ashton to bear-hug him.

He reacted within seconds, his arms tightening around me in an embrace. I giggled into his chest.

"We,my friend are geniuses!" I exclaimed, still tightly in his grip.

"You two finally decide to just get it on?" A voice asked, pulling me out of my daze and causing me to lean back from Ashton slightly though my arms were still around his neck.

Calum was standing next Gabby, the pair of them smirking.

I furrowed my brows in confusion but Ashton however just laughed, rolling his eyes.

"Well what did you two get up to today? Romantic walk? Writing love songs beside the water?" He teased back.

Gabby blushed slightly looking away and Calum just rolled his eyes, though there was the slightest hint of blush along his cheeks.

They came up with some excuse to leave then and quickly hurried off.

Ashton chuckled, turning his gaze back to me.

"Hey Ash, thanks for helping me out with Bri and Michael. I dont know if you could've pulled it off without you" I told him honestly and he just shrugged.

"Its okay, I want them to be happy too" he replied.

I nodded, wondering if now would be the best time to bring up this girl he had been crushing on. Not that it bothered me or anything I just wanted to know. I mean, I was only annoyed cause he didnt tell me, right?

I shook it off, deciding maybe I should talk to the girls first to see if they think I should ask him about her or if I was invading his privacy too much.
