Camping Trip

*Brianna's Perspective*


Right after breakfast Rachel stood from the table, nudging Ashton to stand. I looked at her with a raised eyebrow.
"You two gonna go makeout or something?" I said witha laugh, Ashton blushed but Rachel didn't notice. I laughed and so did Gabby, Calum and Michael.

"No, we want to go on a walk, you two want to come along?" She asked, pointing to Michael and I. I was about to say no, I knew when Rachel had an evil little plan. But before I could kindly reject my sister's offer, Michael spoke up. He could be so oblivious sometimes.

"Yeah," he nudged me ," Let's go with em' Bri." I stood sighs and nodded, keep in my head down as I stood. I pretended to shake out my hair but it was really to keep Michael from seeing me blush.
We all started toward the forest. Ashton and Rachelpractically bumping shoulders. T was almost painful seeing Ashton care so much about Rachel and her not seeing
it. I wished that they could be together, like Sasha and Luke. It would make them a lot happier.

Michael and I started a conversation about what it was like touring. I didnt notice at first but at some point I looked up and saw that Rachel and Ashton had wandered off. Michael looked up and laughed.
"Well I'll be damned, they just abandoned us." I laughed and shrugged, leaning back against a tree.

"I kind of expected it from Rachel." Michael looked slightly confused and tilted his head.

"Why?" He asked, I was about to say 'Because I like you and she likes to meddle in my love life' But I didnt and settled for,

"Um..because she and Ashton and really close and prkbably wanted to be alone or something." Michael shrugged and nodded. I moved my foot to step forwarf but instead my foot caught on a root and I feel forward. Michael moved quickly, stepping forward and catching me.
"Thanks." I said as I caught my breath, as I looked up I realized how close we were. Our faces a few centimeters apart. Before I knew what was happening Michael leaned in ever so slightly, our lips brushed. I was about to, and wanted to lean into the kiss. Then, I heard a twig snap. We shot apart, my back landing against the tree and Michael running his palms along the sides of his pants as if to dry them off.
"So close! Dammit!" Rachel shouted, and emerged from the tangles of trees with Ashton beside her, laughing his ass off. Both Michael and I were blushing insanely.

The walk back was filled with awkward silence and Rachel smirking at me non-stop.
