Same Mistakes

One

Jordan applies the last of her makeup. Their first court date is today. Its been about 7 months since she made Niall leave. Jenna is getting more anxious every day. Jordan has promised her she will see Niall soon, even though she sees him once a week. Dawson can crawl now, and walk a little. He says a few words, but usually the same stuff.

''C'mon Jenna! We're gonna be late!''Jordan yells across the living room as she waits at the door with Dawson in his carseat.

''I come Mama!''She yells back rolling her eyes as she runs to the door.

''Okay,lets go.''Jordan mumbles and they leave the apartment.

Court room..

Jordan is escorted in first. Jenna and Dawson are in the child care classes the court offers during a session. Jordan sits down nervously. She looks over at the side Niall will be sitting on. She sees Liam, Louis, Zayn..and Harry..sitting there staring in front of them. Liam looks her way and he gently smiles. She looks away and sighs to herself. She saw his mom and dad too.. That makes her very nervous.

As she sits in the wooden chair beside her lawyer, Sara, the doors open. She looks over her shoulder to see Niall walk in. He comes up the aisle and as he does, he approaches her slowly.

''Good luck.''He whispers as he walks past her.

She rolls her eyes as he sits down beside his lawyer.

The judge comes in and every one becomes silent..

''Okay..Lets start this.''He says and sits down.

''Hello court, I am Judge Walter Miller. I am here to serve this trial and respectfully decide on whether or not one of these parents will receive both children full time. Or not. It all depends on how this goes for the next few months. Anyways, lets carry on. Shall we?''

Jordan looks over at Sara. Sara looks at her and smiles slightly.

''It's gonna be okay.''She assures her with a nod and Jordan gulps lightly.

''Okay..first up is Jordan Butler..''Judge Miller says and points to a stand to the left of him.

Jordan stands up and walks to the stand. She sits down in front of the microphone and waits for the questions..

Niall watches closely as the judge begins to talk. But he pays his full attention to Jordan's facial expressions, and tone of voice.

''Miss Butler, tell us please a few things of the past.''He starts,''How about you tell us when you met Niall? Just to a recap for the jury.''He says and she nods.

She glances over at Niall, but then to the people sitting in the pews.

''I moved to Mullingar when I was younger..he was the first person I met and..we were good friends..for a while.''She says lightly.

''This is going to get personal, but it has to.''He warns.''When did you and Niall have...your first affair with each other?''He asks her. She gulps lightly and looks at Niall.

''He was sixteen..I was fifteen. We were messing around and some how it let do it..I'm really sure why though.''She shrugs.

''Your Honor, may I add something?''Niall says as he raises his hand.

''Make it quick.''Judge Miller nods.

''It was on a cooler day. I was over at Jordan's house..she didn't want to, but I suggested it.''He smirks lightly as he notices Jordan blush at the embarrassment.

''Okay.''Judge nods and Niall looks back at Jordan.

''Continuing on...Miss Butler..may I ask you to return to your seat please.''He says kindly.

''Yes sir.''She nods and stands from the stand. She walks back to the table and sits down beside Sara.

''Mr.Horan.''Judge Miller motions his head towards the opposite side of where Jordan sat.

Niall sits down and wait for his questions.

''Why did you end things with Jordan the first time?''He asks.

''I didn't want her to be dragged into my career. I didn't want her to be upset when I couldn't spend time with her..and..I knew it would be better if she wasn't with me.''He says with a sweet tone to his voice.

''okay, one more thing..its important..Did you know she was pregnant at the time?''He asks.

''No sir..I did not.''Niall's voice cracks as he says that. His mother watches closely from the pew. She can not decide which side to chose yet. Mainly because, like every one else, she doesn't know why they are doing this..

''Okay. Today was what I call a 'Pre-Trail' We will continue this next week. Please leave the court room quietly.''Judge Miller says and Sara rushes Jordan out quickly to prevent any conversation with the other side.

As Jordan walks by, Niall looks up at her, admiring her dashing look today. She sees him, but doesn't pay attention...
