Leonora is 17 years old. She’s not popular at her school, at all, and is a victim of extreme bullying. One night, when she’s walking home from the library she gets ran over by a truck. It’s so bad, she has to go the hospital. She’s unconscious, and in come for a few days. When she wakes up, she finds out about the terrible news; while scanning her body, the doctors found cancer in her left lung. Now, she is about to go through a long course, where she has to live in the hospital, and get “fixed”, as her dad called it. But she is not alone in the hospital. Leonora meets a couple of friends, who invest in her, and they become pretty close. Among others Harry; the boy who came to the hospital from an overdose. If he didn’t come in that day, he would have died. He’s still fighting against the drugs, but the treatment is working. Leonora and Harry fall for each other, even though the fear of death is hanging thick in the air.
