The summer memory

Tarah was still asleep when I got into her room and layed her down. I walked out of the room to make sure everyone was asleep. Autumn and Luke weren’t they were talking to each other. All of a sudden I hear screaming, Tarah’s screaming, she was screaming my name my name. I ran to the room. I expected to see a zombie or something but nothing was there. I asked, “Babe, what’s wrong?” She looked at me and her eyes started to fill with tears and she said, “I-I had a dream where you dropped dead right in front of me!” I went over and sat beside her. “Babe.” I touched her chin and moved her head so our eyes met. “Babe, that will never happen, I promise you.” She grabbed on to me and held me really tightly. I told her we should go get something to drink then watch a movie. We got some ice cold water and sat down on the couch. “What do you wanna watch?” I asked her. She replied “The Conjuring!” I said “Fine.” She looked up at me as if to say kiss me. I kissed her passionately, she kissed back. In the middle of the movie I fell asleep. I heard creeping and it scared the shit out of Tarah. “Michael, Michael, Michael wake up!” She shouted scaring me more. “What?!” I shouted scared shitless. “I had th-the dream a-again.” she said shaking. I pulled her trembling body into my bare chest. The thunder was rolling from the storm outside. Every time the thunder made a thud, she jumped every time. We started watching the movie again. Tarah still heard the creaking in the hallway. I heard it too so I grabbed my pocket knife. Then Autumn came down the hallway and looked at my knife. “S-sorry, I thought there was like a ghost or something.” Tarah said and she laughed her ass off. I looked at Tarah. She must be really scared from watching this. I have no idea why. This is her favorite movie. She’s never been this scared. Was there something else to her dream? I looked at her and fear filled her eyes. “Tarah, what happened in your dream?” I asked her calmly and she looked me in the eyes and told me everything. From the fights to the gun to the shot and how I died right in front of her eyes. She said “In the dream… there was no way of h- helping m-me or y-you.” she was crying, tears running down her face. It was still raining. I realized right then and there that she wasn’t afraid of a dumb fucking ghost. She was afraid someone was going to kill me in front of her.

*A week later*

“Hey, congrats man, one year with Tarah! How are you going to propose to her?” Luke asked me. I smiled and told him “Well I have the whole night planned. First I am taking her to a scary movie, then we are going to a romantic restaurant, then a walk in the park leading to the beach. We are going to go horseback riding while watching the sunset. After that I am going to have fireworks that say ‘WILL YOU MARRY ME?!’ in the sky in our favorite color. Blue.” I said and Luke patted me on the back as to say ‘That’s amazing good luck with that.’ I smiled as she walked in the room jumping onto me making us fall to the ground. “Happy one year!” she yelled and kissed me passionately. “Happy one year to you too babe.” I said smiling into the kiss. I heard everyone else pile into the room. “AWE!” they all yelled in sync. Tarah hugged Taylor and Autumn. I told Ashton, and Calum how I am going to propose and they gave me fist bumps and Tarah was having the best time with her best friends. “Tarah, you are going to want to go shopping for tonight.” i told her and she smiled. “Okay. I will do that now just to get it out of the way. Taylor and Autumn can come with me.” she said and I nodded kissing her. “Okay, lets go shower, yeah?” she nodded and I lead her up the stairs with my hand on the small of her back. After about thirty minutes of hot water running down our bodies we got out and I helped Tarah with her outfit and she helped me with mine. “Love you, be home but three please.” I told her and kissed her goodbye.

*Tarah’s POV*

I drove with Autumn and Taylor to the mall, where I got a few outfits. I got a lot of jeans and band tees, even a few blue dresses. But two particular dresses really stood out to me. I don’t know which one to wear. “Babe? Are you ready?” Michael yelled through my bedroom door where I was still trying to figure out which dress to wear. I thought on a few other ones I had bought and decided with a beautiful strapless, blue, sequin dress that was really tight but fit me perfectly. “I’m fine hold on I will be out in a minute babe.” I shouted back and looked for a pair of blue converse to put into my purse incase my feet started hurting in my heels. “Okay i am ready.” I said walking out of my bedroom. I watched Michael as his eyes roamed my body over and over again. “You look wow.” he said I smiled and kissed him passionately. “We are going to see a scary movie first.” he said smiling. “We are doing more than one thing?” I asked surprised. “Yes I have the entire night planned.” he informed me but wont give me any more detail. I don’t know why I just want to be surprised. “Okay… Well um l-lets g-go then.” he stuttered still admiring my outfit. He put his arm around my shoulder and we started walking towards the car. “I missed you today.” he said making me look at him. “Really? I was only gone for a few hours. And we were texting the whole time!” I told him and he leaned against the door spreading his legs so I could stand between them. “I know but I still missed you!” he said and kissed me roughly but passionately. “Can we go I am anxious to get to the movie!” I said and he laughed “Sure. Let’s go.” he said and opened the passenger side door for me to get in. As I was getting in he slapped my ass. I jumped up about a foot off the ground. He started laughing his ass off. He fell to the ground laughing. He got up quickly and dusted his clothes off. He got in the drivers seat and we headed off to the movie theatre. As soon as we got there he asked me “What do you want to see?” I looked at him like it was obvious. “Annabelle!” I shouted laughing, it was cold so I was wearing his black leather jacket. It was too big on me it even went passed my hands. He had to roll them up for me. It was cute because when he rolled the sleeves up he kissed both of my hands. Damn how did I manage to love him so much? The movie was too long, and I jumped a lot but Michael comforted me. “Where are we going next?” I asked and he looked me in the eyes saying “To a romantic dinner.” I smiled before kissing him passionately. The dinner was near an hour long before we left. Once we got in the car he turned on some music. He turned on Black Veil Brides my favorite band. He started singing along in a ridiculous voice, I lightly smacked him on the arm and said, “Sing it right babe.” He sighed and said “fine.” He put his hand on my bare thigh and i put my hand in top of his. He smiled and glanced at me. “What?” I laughed. He turned the music down “Babe, later we are going horseback riding.” he said and I smiled. “So…” I said and he stopped at a park. There were dogs, children and lots of different people there. It was like so adorable, seeing all of the little kids running around. I looked at Michael and he said, “Now let me stop you right there. May I remind you that you are only 18.” I nodded and continued on the walk. He lead me to the beach where we watched the sunset as we walked. We ended up at a horse barn where we both picked a trained horse. I picked the one that was white and has a purple saddle. Michael helped me put the heavy saddle on the back of white horse. I couldn’t help but watch the way his large muscles moved. He is so undeniable. I love him so much. He told me “Get off the horse. There is one more thing we are doing.” I smiled and he grasped my hips and lifted me off my horse and set me on the ground carefully. He pulled his phone out of his pocket and texted someone, his fingers flying across the screen. Suddenly fireworks started in the sky and it read. ‘TARAH’ I was crying so much ‘I LOVE YOU SO MUCH’ suddenly Michael was digging in his pocket when the sky read ‘WILL YOU MARRY ME? <3’ he was down on one knee with a beautiful diamond ring in the middle. I was crying so much. The ring had a big blue square diamond in the middle with a bunch of little diamonds around it. It was in the shape of the infinity sign. “Yes Michael Yes I love you so much Yeessss!” I cried and jumped into his arms kissing him. “Here. Let me put it on you!” he said in excitement. I let him put the ring on my left ring finger. “I love you so much!!!” I said against his lips.
