Fallen

"What? But there’s no way those are real.” I shook my head. “I didn’t think Angels were allowed to have children. Like Bible stuff, or whatever.”

“But they are. I know how to find the child. There’s only one walking the earth at the moment. Rules or something.” Ashton stood up. “We have a special device that can track children of Angels. We have never had to use it before though.” He tapped his foot.

“Ash, what if the girls are awake? We need to get back out there.” He helped me up. We stood chest to chest, although, I didn’t mind.

Ashton gave me a peck on the lips so quick, it left me without a chance to respond.

“Let’s head down. Act natural. Don’t tell them anything. When it’s time to tell the boys, I will tell each them at different times, so that no one suspects anything.” I nodded my head and we unlocked the door.

No one was outside the door. I breathed out a breath I didn’t know I was holding. Hand in hand, Ashton and I walked down the stairs and back to the couch where he sat me on his lap. I looked around to see all the girls seated on the floor and the boys taking up the seats on the couch. Everyone was looking at Ashton and I with large eyes. All except Michael, who was glaring at me.

“So are you two, like, boyfriend and girlfriend now?” Sarah nudged our legs. I looked up at a now-smiling Ashton.

“Yes. We are.” Ashton replied, provoking a round of cheers and applause from everyone except Michael. His frown only seemed to get deeper. I felt Ashton kiss my temple and, for some reason, it didn’t feel right.

*Demon’s POV*

This was definitely a “road block” as the humans liked to put it. Now I had to get through this blasted boy on order to get to her. The one called “Ashton” was a hunter and he knew how to kill. If he found my identity, he could convince the girl called “Elizabeth” to rid this body of my power. I will have to make short work of this boy.

*Michael’s POV*

I knew who this girl’s father was. I needed to get Ashton the knife and let him know. This girl was the daughter of Gabriel. Elizabeth, daughter of the Angel Gabriel. This makes so much sense. That’s why Gabriel gave me the blade, right after I met Elizabeth. That’s why he told me to keep a close eye on her. That’s why he is trying to get me out of here.

“Gabriel, help me get out of here. I have to protect her.” I put my hands together and did something that I had never done before. I prayed.

*Ashton’s POV*

I could see the large smile evident on her face when I confirmed our relationship. It made me so happy that she was finally mine. She looked up at me and gave my lips a peck. I smiled into the short-lived kiss before she pulled away.

“You’re so pretty.” I couldn’t help but blurt. A blush covered my cheeks and hers. A chorus of laughter erupted from everyone else. Except Michael. No one seemed to noticed Michael’s changed state, which was good. We couldn’t afford anyone finding out. Not when our lead hunter was under the control of a demon.

“Aw, Ash, you’re pretty too.” She pinched my cheeks and kissed my nose, making me blush deeper.

“I think I am going to head out. I have some errands to take care of.” Michael got out of his chair. “I won’t be back for quite a while.” All of us boys nodded.

“If they need a ride anywhere, since you drove them, I will take them.” Elizabeth smiled. Michael nodded and headed out the door without giving a goodbye.

“We are going to go to the mall,” Justice gestured between her, Sarah, and Tiara. “Do you want to come too?” She directed at Elizabeth who shook her head

“No. Not really in a “mall-mood” today. You guys go have fun.” She smiled at them. It was then I realized that they were already dressed.

“Okay. Bye guys! Be good.” Sarah said to all of us.

“Calum, Luke, make sure these two don’t get too frisky while we’re gone.” Tiara winked at us. Elizabeth scoffed and flipped her off. Cal and Luke were in a fit of laughter. I glared at them and flipped them off. That just set them off more.

Once the girls left and everyone had calmed down, I decided it was time for a talk.

“Guys, we need to have a serious talk.” The boys looked at Elizabeth who remained on my lap.

“She is staying. She knows what is going on.” They nodded and I turned to Elizabeth.

“Do you want to explain or should I?” She asked, beginning to shake. I could see that she was afraid they would judge her.

“I will. Just calm down, love. It will be okay.” She nodded her head and took a shaky breath.

*Elizabeth’s POV*

I waited for Ashton to explain to them what was going on. Once Luke and Calum saw me get nervous, they got serious.

“Guys, something awful has happened. Michael has been taken over by a demon.” Audible gasps were heard.

“Is this true?” Luke asked and I nodded.

“His eyes were a glowing amber this morning.” I looked down at my hands, waiting for them to laugh at me for what I had said.

“Elizabeth, we need you to come with us, okay? There’s something we need to show you. Grab your keys, I am going to drive.” Calum helped me out of my seat and I tossed him my keys.
“Let me go change real quick.” They nodded and I bolted up the stairs into my room and threw on a pair of black leggings and a Nirvana singlet. I brushed my hair, grabbed my glasses because I was too lazy to put my contacts in and threw on my black Vans. I rushed downstairs and snagged my jean jacket from the closet under the stairs.

“Where are we taking her?” I heard Ashton ask with concern in his voice.

“To the warehouse.”

Alright chapter seven. How do you guys like the chapter? I personally thought that adding a bit more romance in this chapter was okay. The story is not going to be focused on the romance part of it. That's only a small piece to the puzzle. ILY guys so much. Keep commenting!
