Louis' POV

It's been a few days since my last conversation with Liam. It's a crisp Saturday, I haven't talked to Kate all week and I feel like I'm actually missing her. Missing someone I'm not even in a relationship. I just can't explain it.

“Hey, are we going to the park?” I hear Eleanor's voice coming from the bedroom and I follow her voice.

“Whose going?” I ask flopping on the bed next to her.

She picks up her phone and texts someone.

“I'm asking Lou.” She responds still looking at it.

“So Lou and Lux?” I assume at least they're going to be there.

“I guess so, she said she met a woman and her daughter that she's planning on meeting there, and Harry might come but she hasn't heard back.” She turns to her side and props herself up on her elbow. “Have you thought anymore about what I said?” She asks carefully.

I take a deep breath before answering.

“I have, but my mind hasn't changed El, I'm not ready to get married.” I tell her sitting up on the bed but turning my head towards her.

“I didn't say we had to get married I just want our relationship to be on a deeper level.” She tries to defend her actions.

“Why do we have to have a ring for it to be considered a deeper relationship? I'd say were pretty committed without the ring. I mean we live together, we sleep in this bed every night, the whole world knows we're together. We don't need a damn ring.” I rant.

“You don't get it Louis! It's not about the fact that we live together and people know we're together I want to know that we're going to be together forever, just you and me. I'm tired of waiting, I don't want to be 30 and still not married. If we're not end game then I don't want to sit and wait for us to be over. I want to find the person I'm suppose to be with for the rest of my life and if its not you then I need to move on.” She's getting mad.

“What do you mean? You think that you're not the one for me?” I'm seriously offended now. She doesn't think we're going to be together forever? She's making me second guess everything now.

“You're the one for me Louis, I don't think you know if I'm the one for you.” She lets out a huff and hops off the bed to the bathroom and slams the door.

I flop back on the bed and just sit there. I just can't deal with this drama right now.

We push our argument behind us and meet Lou and Lux at the park, they're already there when I arrive, Lux is running around like a crazy child. Kids always have so much energy it's insane.

Lou and Eleanor take a seat on the bench right away and start talking while I catch up with Lux. Since I have so many little sisters, its easier for me to play with kids and be with them compared to useless gossip that grown women play in, which I know that's what Lou and El are doing.

I chase Lux around the park over and over again until I hear a laugh and I literally stop in my tracks turning my attention to her. Kate. I see Lou pop her head up and rush over to Kate, embracing her in a hug and introducing her to Eleanor. Eleanor, who has no idea that I know Kate.

I walk over to her and see Olivia hiding behind Kate wearing a mask. I thought she was better but I'm assuming the mask is just for precautions. Lou sees me walking towards them and waves me over.

“Louis! I want you to meet a friend of mine, Kate, I just met her what a few weeks ago now?” She turns to Kate to ask for confirmation as she slowly nods. I try to play it off like I don't know her.

“Hi, I'm Louis.” I stick my hand out as if we've never met before hoping she follows suit.

“Kate, nice to meet you. She smiles at me.

“Oh, and this is my girlfriend Eleanor.” I turn to El and introduce her.

“Hi, lovely to meet you!” She sounds genuine and El shakes her hand asking who that cute little girl behind her is as Kate introduces Olivia. She peeks a little behind Kate's leg and instantly lights up when she seems me.

“Louis!” She smiles and runs past me. “Lux!” I take a deep breath, at least I know that I've avoided being given up by a three year old.

“Careful Livie!” Kate yells after her as she takes a seat next to Eleanor and Lou on the bench getting engrossed in conversation.

I chase Lux and Olivia around but Lux has more energy then Olivia, for good reason. After about 10 minutes Kate gets up and comes to Olivia sitting with her on the swings and I casually make my way over to her. For some reason I'm nervous.

I take a swing next to her, avoiding her glance.

“So this is the first time we've met then?” I notice she's looking straight ahead.

“Um, yeah. Sorry about that. I didn't know how to explain it to Eleanor.” I tell her as she cradles a noticeably tired Olivia. “How's she doing?” I ask.

“She gets tired really easily. We don't go out much, unless to go to the store, or small errands. People give us strange looks and I just want to protect her. Any sneeze or cough makes me nervous.” I nod as almost to pretend I have any idea of the hell she goes through alone.

I catch her gaze and see small tears forming at the corners. I get a feeling in the pit of my stomach.

“Please don't cry.” I know Eleanor and Lou are close and I just can't resist the urge to wipe her tears away.

“It's just harder then you think. I'm tired of always having to be strong. This is stupid. I should be at home.” She chokes out the words.

“Everything will work out.” I give her an empty promise. I have no idea what will happen. I wish I could tell her everything will be perfect but I just can't.

“It's okay Louis. You don't have to pretend. Life isn't perfect.” She's sad, I swing sideways and bump her trying to make her laugh. I'd do anything to make her laugh right now.

Her lips part just so slightly to a smile.

“Oh, no, don't do it, don't laugh!” I tease bumping into her again.

“Mommy!” Olivia suddenly perks up. “I want to play Marco.” I look at Kate as she pretends to contain her giggle and places her down on the playground mat.

“Okay, I'll be Marco.” She smiles and kisses Olivia's nose.

“Louis, you play too?” I look at Kate as she mouths “marco polo” and I get it.

“Of course I will!” I jump up and decided to carry Olivia so she doesn't get so tired quickly. I grab Lux and Lou, trying to get Eleanor to join in but she just glares at me and turns her head away. I sigh, not knowing what to do but continue to play the game. I just want to bring joy to people.

After we play for a bit we have to stop because Olivia gets to coughing and Kate tells us we need to stop and go home. I turn to Lou who also says that Lux needs to get home and rest for a bit. I nod my head and look around for Eleanor. She's gone. I call her on my phone and I get sent to voicemail. I call again, and again she sends me to voicemail. I slip my phone in my pocket, we drove here together.

I feel my phone vibrate and I notice she's at least texted me.

First time you've ever met Kate huh? Is all she says. Great.

I catch up with Lou really quick, “Hey Lou, you know if Eleanor is mad at me?” I ask trying to play stupid.

She glares at me for a second. “She saw you and Kate on the swings Louis. She's suspicious.” She shrugs her shoulders.

“There's nothing to be suspicious about.” I simply shrug as if to brush it off.

“Well you can keep telling yourself that but I saw something different Louis. I'll see you later.” She gives me a hug and gets in her car to drive away leaving me with Kate.

“I'm sorry, I didn't mean to cause any drama.” She apologizes.

“Don't worry about it, it's my problem. Can I catch a ride?” Its against my better judgment, I'm sure Eleanor will see me get out of Kate's car but I don't want to pay for a taxi and I don't want to wait around for a friend to come pick me up, its cold out here.

“Sure, but I really need to drop Livie off, she's so tired. Our housekeeper/nanny lady is at home so she can stay with her while she's sleeping.” I nod and follow her to the car.

“I can buckle her in, you should start it, get some heat.” She looks at me for confirmation and I smile and take Olivia from her arms to place her in her seat. She opens the door for me then goes around to the other side to start the Porsche. I buckle a sleeping Olivia in and make sure everything is tight before she slightly opens her eyes, “I like you Louis.” She whispers for only me to hear and it literally tears my heart in two.

ohhhh I see some drama brewing. Any thoughts about what's to happen next??

Bad news. I'll be going out of town this weekend, leaving tomorrow and might not return till next Wednesday. My cousin is getting married in Georgia and it just so happens to be our school's fall break on Monday and Tuesday so I might be taking a little story break. BUT if I can get my ten back I'll post the next chapter tonight....I don't usually do that but just throwing it out there. If not, ya'll will get it in about a week. :) will come back, I promise.

So once again, fate brings Louis and Kate together. And it seems that they can't keep a secret forever.
