Trouble

Dinner with the Devil?

I closed my eyes sighing in relief, finally being in my warm bed after a long and hard first day at school. Thank god for mum and dad rebuilding my bed and putting my furniture in my new room while I was in school.
"Adele!" I groaned, hearing my mother call from the kitchen downstairs. i swung the thick white sheets off of me before throwing myself to my feet and stomping downstairs.
"Yes," I sigh as I enter the beautiful white clean kitchen to see my mother cooking dinner.
"Sweetheart, it's 5 in the afternoon, why are you in bed? Tired already?" I nod lazily, making my mother erupt with laughter, filling the house with her beautful laugh. "Well, I would like you to go across the road and ask Trisha if her and her son would like dinner with us." I frowned, confusion taking over my features. She looked up from the vegetables she was cutting and sighed. "I met her this morning, she lives across the road with her son. It's the house that looks like ours." Before she continued, a grin spread across her flawless features, "And her son is a year older, but you know."
It then hit me like a ton of bricks that she was talking about Zayn and his mum. Of course it is who else lives across the road in a house that looks like ours. I felt nerves bubble up inside of me, "Okay, I'll go ask," I mumbled before sprinting up the stairs and into my room.
I took my school uniform off. Yes I was actually planning on sleeping in my uniform, simply because I could not be bothered changing. I threw on a pair of black leggins and an oversized dark red jumper before touching up my makeup and putting my combat boots on and running back downstairs and calmly walking over to his house.
I stood at the door, having a mental debate on how to do this. After a few moments, I mustered up enough courage and knocked on the door. I looked down at my hands as they suddenly became interesting to me when I heard the door open.
My head snapped up to see Zayn in nothing but dark grey sweatpants. I found myself having to tilt my head back to find his face. He was very tall for an 18 year old boy. His black hair was in all directions, but it made him look incredibly hot.
He smirked down at me as he leaned his body on the door frame, "Yes?"
It took everything in me not to look at his body. I could see from the corner of my eye that he had very prominent abs and miscles. "M-my mother wa-wanted to know if your uhm f-family would like to join us for dinner," I mumbled while looking at anything but him. I mentally smakced myself for stuttering. Why can't I just talk to a boy like a normal person?
He chuckled, "Yeah, sure sweetheart. What time do you want us over?"
My eyebrows raised and my lips parted slightly from being surprised that he had called be sweetheart when I just made a fool of myself. "Uhm 6:30," I smiled up at him.
His smirk grew before he nodded, "See you at 6:30 Adele." He winked before closing the door.
I stood there for a few seconds, stunned. How the hell did he know my name? I frowned, slowly turning around and making my way back over to my house. I could feel his eyes on me, but I didn't dar look back over my shoulder.
As soon as I closed the front door, I sprinted back up the stairs while yelling on the way up, "THEY ARE COMING AT 6:30!"
"Thanks dear," my mother sang back.
I jumped in the shower, scrubbing my body clean with the rose scented soap as the hot water show down my back. After I scrubbed every dirty fiber off of my body, I got out of the shower and lightly applied some foundation to cover my freckles before covering my curly lashes with mascara.
I walked out of the bathroom in my towel. I was just about to drop it when I looked over to see my curtains were open and as I took a better look, I saw Zayn sitting on his window seat, smirking at me. I felt a blush cover my cheeks before I rushed over to the window seat and close the curtain immediately.
I double checked that he couldn't see me before I dropped my towel and walked over to one of the many boxes of clothing in my room and pulled out a white dress. It was tight around the chest and flowed out at the wait; it had plain white thick stripes to hold it up. It was simple and I had never really worn it before.
I let my auburn hair flow down my back. I took a look at myself in my log mirror in the corner of the room before falling back onto my white bed. I checked my phone for the time: 6:00. I felt the nerves bubble inside me; I never felt so nervous and that's because I've never had a boy as handsome as Zayn come over to my house for dinner with his mother.
I know I've been told to stay away and he just screams trouble, there is something about him that's so mysterious, it's like I can't help myself.
I spent the next half hour unloading boxes and putting things where they needed to be put. "Adele! The neighbors are here!" I felt my palms get sweaty as I wuickly stood up from my kneeling position on the floor and checked myself quickly walked down the stairs.
There, Zayn was standing at the front door with a beautiful older woman and my mother. The woman was shorter than Zayn, but definitely taller than me with black shoulder length hair and pale skin with piercing green eyes. She was obviously Zayn's mother. I smiled as I made my way over to them and stood by my mother.
"Adele, this is Trisha and her son Zayn." Trisha grinned before pulling me into a big hug, making me giggle at her forwardness before looking at Zayn awkwardly, not knowing whether to hug him or shake his hand.
Zayn was wearing a black v-neck shirt again that showed his large bicepts and black jeans. He was so beautiful it was like he wasn't even human. He noticed me hesitate when he put his arms out and chuckled, "don't I get a hug?" I felt my cheeks heat up as I went up on my tippy toes and wrap my arms around his neck as his arms around my waist tightened, pulled me into his warm chest. I felt like a little doll in his arms.
"You look nice sweetheart," his husky voice whispered into my ear before his lips pressed a soft kiss under my ear.
I quickly pulled back; I stared at him with wide eyes as he just smirked back at me. I didn't know what to think, I felt uncomfortable that's for sure.
Trisha and my mother seemed to be into conversation with each other to even have noticed Zayn's exchange with me.
I began to let my gaze shift to the floor as I felt Zayn's intense gaze stay on me. "Well, let's go have dinner," my mother beamed before taking us to the dining room.
Zayn and I had finished at the same time while our mothers were still laughing and having a good old time. I was glad my mother made a friend.
Zayn's bruised was still there like earlier today. When my mum asked earlier into dinner, he just said he fell, which I doubted. We didn't really speak at all during dinner, unless our moms asked us something.
"Sweetie, why don't you take Zayn up to your room and show him around or something," my mother beamed at me before sharing a look with Trisha, who seemed to be happy about the idea.
"Erm.. okay." I slowly got up and nodded at Zayn to follow me. While walking up the stairs, I felt his burning stare at my bum making me feel even more uncomfortable. Once we reached my room, I opened the door for him to enter and he walked over to my window. I closed the door awkwardly before sitting down on my bed with my legs swinging off the edge.
"Fancy seeing you in your towel earlier. Shame you noticed me before you dropped it." He smirked, turning his head to wink at me before sitting up with his long legs off the end and his elbows on his knees with his head resting on his palms, staring intensely at me like he was trying to figure out what I was thinking.
A blush crept up yo mt cheeks like always, making his smirk grow wider. "H-how do you know my name?" I changed the subject, remembering how he called me by my first name at his house when I didn't tell him it.
He chuckled, "I asked around."
I frowned, "Why?"
He bit his lip before shrugging, "Because I find you interesting." I opened my mouth but closed it when realizing I had nothing to say.
He suddenly got uo frim his seat and walked over to me, putting his arms on either side of me, but a little bit behind me, making his face so close that our noses were touching.
"Are you scared of me Adele?" He whispered, making his hot minty breath hit my face.
"N-no," I stuttered, staring into his dark brown ees that stared intensely at me.
"ZAYN!" I heard Trisha call from downstairs.
"You should be," he whispered back before he leaned forward and kkissing the corner of my mouth, lingering for a bit before standing up and walking out of my room without another word.
