Trouble

He's got a war in his mind

My eyes fluttered open as I felt the car jolt. I lifted my head up from the window and looked out the window, rain drops scattered across it. The sky was grey and everything was wet.

I moved from London, all the way down to Bradford because my father's job required him to be here. My father is a doctor and will now be working at the hospital here and my mother never needed to work from all the money we already have.

My mother was the one that chose my name, Adele. My mum is always into unique names, so that's why I was so unfortunate.

My hair is a red/brown colour, quite like the colour of sand paper. My face was pale, except the fact that my face is covered in a tiny, tan freckles. My mum said it make me look unique. I just through it made me look like a nerd. I have big, hazel eyes and I'm skinny. Also, I couldn't forget my eyebrows. Theyre huge, but in a way, it suits my face.

My mother and father are a good-looking pair, their names are Megan and Ian. I got all my looks from my dad. I only inherited my mother's nose. My mother had the physical descriptoin of Snow White; almost black hair, pale skin, and blue eyes. Beautiful.

"Adele, honey, we are here!" my mother turned in her seat at the front of the car to send me a massive smile. I half-heartedly sent one back. I wasn't excited at the thought of having to leave my life in London with all friends.

I sighed and got out of the car, looking up at the huge, new, double story house. I felt someone's eyes on me and slowly turned my back to look around the street. My eyes stopped on the house directionly across the street. There stood a boy with olive skin and jet-black hair, leaning against a black motorbike, staring at me with a smirk on his face as he blew out the smoke from his cigarette.

He was wearing a leather jacket over a white V-neck and dark blue jeans. The more I stared back at him, the more beautiful I realized he was. There was something about him that sent off danger warnings inside my head. I looked away from the boy and towards my house to see my mother and father had already begun taking boxes inside with the moving van guys.
I looked back over to the boy, to see him drop his cigarette and stomp on it before looking up and winking at me. He swung his legs over his motorbike before making the engine roar to life and he sped out of the drive way and down the street.

"Adele" I heard my mother call from the inside, wihout replying, I walked into the beautiful house. It was white and had a staircase in the middle of the front room that spiralled up onto the second floor. I ran up the stairs and went into the first room I saw. It was plain white and was quite big; it had a bathroom and one of those sitting places against the window so I can sit and look out. The window gave a great view of that boy across the roads house. That sounded really creepy.

I went down stairs and grabbed a box where I had some of my white pillow in it and grabbed my bag and went back up the stairs where I opened the box and put a few pillows on the window seats and sat down and reached into my bag and grabbed my book, The Lovely Bones by Alice Sebold.

My eyes fluttered open to a dark room. I then realised that I was still seated on the window rest with my head against the ice cold rain covered window. A loud noise woke me up, my eyes squinted into the darkness of outside so I could focus on what was it that woke me, when I saw that boy again. He was getting off of his motorbike and climbed up the pipe on the side of his house before opening his room window and sliding his tall body inside. Our house looked the same and my window was directly across from his.

He turned on the light in his room so I could clearly seen in. His back was to me as he pulled off his black leather jacket and saw that he had mud and water all over him.
I couldn't take my eyes off of him as he pulled his white t-shirt over his head showing his back muscles. My eyes widend and I quickly looked away. I really needed to stop looking at him, I had my first day of school tomorrow and I don't want to feel horrible for it.
I closed my eyes and let sleep take over.

"Adele, hurry dear, you have to go to school!" My mother sang through the other side of the door. I sighed and looked at myself in my bathroom mirror. My uniform was pretty I guess, better then the last one, navy blue pleated skirt with a white blouse and navy blue tie with black stockings. The skirt was high wasted so that's the main reason why I liked it.
I rushed down stairs where I grabbed an apple and said goodbye to my parents then walked out the front door.

It was time for my first class, I walked in with one of the office ladies. Everyone was already inside and they stopped everything and stared at me. I kept my eyes on the floor, feeling my shyness take over. The office lady passed my teacher a little note with all details and that I was new. I always was a nerd or an outcast so I didn't expect it to change just because of a new location.

"Everyone, this is Adele Summers and she is new here, please make her feel welcome," my teacher who smiled nicely at me, he looked only about 25 years old. He directed me to my seat when I sat down to a pretty brunette with sun kissed skin and big brown eyes.

"Hey, I'm Chelsea, it's so nice to meet you," she smiled contently at me. "You too," I smiled shyly; I didn't need to say my name because the teacher just told everyone it. The whole lesson I felt eyes on me and sometimes I could hear my name in whispered conversations. I looked back and saw two boys, one with curly hair and green eyes and another with blonde hair and blue eyes. I honestly don't get why boys here are so attractive and in London, there were hardly any.

The boy with curly hair winked at me with a smirk on his face and my face flushed with embarrassment as I turned my head quickly paying attention back to what the teacher was talking about. I was never good at communicating with boys, I would blush, stutter, or trip over nothing. So you could see why I had never had a boy friend before.

The class bell rung and I gathered all my books and headed to the door when Chelsea grabbed my arm to stop me. "Hey, come sit with me at lunch?" I grinned and nodded; I was surprised I made friends so fast.

The weather strangely was warm and there were no clouds in the beautiful blue sky, so after grabbing lunch, we went over to the oval field that the school had and sat under a tree, it gave us a view of everyone. Two people sat next to me and Chelsea then, one boy and one girl.

"Hey, I'm Blake," the boy grinned. He was very handsome and he had blue eyes, tanned skin and chocolate hair.

"A-Adele," I stuttered and he chuckled. Nice one Adele.

The girl next to him was blonde and was pale unlike the other two with brown eyes, "Hey, I'm Claire," she grinned.

"I'm Adele," I said perfectly.

I looked over the field and saw him, he had a bruise on his cheek bone that wasn't there when I first saw him outside his house.

"Don't get involved with him Adele, him and his friends are bad news," I looked at Chelsea and back at him as he approached what looked to be his friends.

"What's his name?" I frowned once I realized I still didn't know his name.

"Zayn."
