It was getting late so Luke and I decided we should head back to the hotel. He had endless missed calls from everyone in the band, managements, body guards, my friends, and even his mother. He had ignored all of them though. I laughed at the fact that he even ignored his own mother.

We had found our way to a cute little market and had been exploring it for some time. Luke had bought some useless shit, both for himself and me. I had told him not too but he wouldn’t listen. I was going to pay him back whether he liked it or not. We were moseying our way back to the hotel talking about everything and nothing.

I had never spent so much time alone with Luke but I liked it. He was one of the sweetest kids I had ever met. I was only with him for the day but I was starting to wonder why I had never seen the little things that make Luke, Luke before.

When something made him happy his smile reached from ear to ear and his eyes twinkled a crystal blue. When he was nervous he chewed on his lip ring. When he was confused his brow furrowed into tight little lines along his forehead. I felt something do flips inside of me as the day went on and on. I was confused by the end of the day.

Was what I was feeling towards Calum a simple physical attraction? Did I only like him because I thought he was undeniably hot? I had no idea. Luke was clouding my thoughts. He was also very attractive but he also could connect with me on a deeper level of intellect. I had never really spent a lot of time together with Calum so I couldn’t be sure we lacked that, yet.

After my laughter died down from a cheesy joke from Luke, we fell into a comfortable silence. Our hands accidently brushed up against each other as we both swung our arms. I felt my face get red with a blush. I quickly looked up at Luke, noticing a smile smirk in the corner of his mouth. It wasn’t a cocky smirk though; it was a ‘did that really just happen’ type of face. I didn’t say anything and neither did he. We continued at our slow pace for a few more steps before it happened again.

“Kenz, if you want to hold my hand just do it.” Luke chuckled, looking down at me.

“Luke, if you want to hold my hand, just do it.” I mocked, never breaking eye contact.

To my surprise I felt his large hand intertwine through mine. I opened my mouth in shock. I didn’t think he was actually going to do it.

“You know, for safety.” He laughed, nervously.

“Right, because we’re in such great danger on this big empty street.” I shot back.

“Who knows what could pop out and try and steal you? At least this way I’ll be able to put up a little bit of a fight before they run off with you.” he laughed harder this time.

“It’s good to know we’re basically defenseless you scrawny bastard.” I nudged his side with my elbow before talking. “Besides, why would anyone want to steal me?”

“Because you’re gorgeous.” He blurted out. I don’t think he had realized what he said right away, I’m not sure I did.

“Wh...What?” I stuttered.

“Sorry Kenz, I didn’t mean to.” He looked anywhere but me.

“So I’m ugly?” I giggled.

“WHAT! No way, you’re the most beautiful girl I’ve ever laid eyes on, and I’ve been around the world. I just know that you and Cal got something going on and plus, Ashton is your brother.” He shrugged. We had stopped walking and were just looking at each other nervously now.

“I don’t have anything going on Calum.” I said. It wasn’t a lie. I really didn’t, I just chose to leave out what happened in the closest today.

“So he wouldn’t be able to kick my ass if I did this…” he paused.

“Did what?” I asked, confused.

Before I knew what was happening, Luke’s lips were on mine. Two famous guys kissing me in one day? What did I ever do to deserve this? Nothing, that’s what. Our lips moved together in perfect harmony for a few more seconds before he pulled away, looking entirely unsure.

“I’m sorry.” He said, looking at his feet.

“Hey, don’t be.” I placed a hand on his cheek. “If I didn’t want that to happen, I would have instantly pushed you away.”

“I guess so. I know we don’t really know each other that well, even though we’ve been around each other for years now, it’s just today has been the greatest day of my life. You brought out the kid in me again and I had so much fun. You’re different Kenz and I like that.”

“You’re different than what I thought too. I like it.” I smiled up at him.

He closed what little space was between us, pushing his lips to mine again. It wasn’t as electrifying as my kiss with Calum but everything about it felt right. I snaked my hand up and around his neck pulling in as close as I could. I didn’t care that we were in the middle of the sidewalk, it wasn’t busy anyway. He placed his hand on my lower back, pushing our centers together. He kept a firm hold on me, never breaking our lips apart. We kissed for what seemed like hours before something began to buzz in his pocket. He paused our kiss to look at the caller. He rolled his eyes.

“We should probably get back.” He said. “It was Ashton.”

“Yeah, I know we’ve been giving them a heart attack. I’m surprised they haven’t got a search team out for us by now.”

We strolled the rest of the way back to the hotel hand in hand. We laughed about everything, never falling into a silence. We split apart when we got close enough to see the, now smaller, crowd of girls in front of the hotel. He stopped walking before we reached them, pulling back to him.

He kissed me on last time, causing me to break into a huge fit of giggled. I’m Mackenzie Irwin, what is happening to me? I’m a badass emotionless girl. In less than 24 hours two boys have made me feel all sorts of ways. This had to stop. I wasn’t cut out for that. And since when did I giggle? EW.

“I don’t want to sound like an asshole or anything because I know it was only one day but what did it mean?” Luke looked down at me.

“I’m not a hundred percent sure Luke. How about for you?”

“I agree.” He nodded.

“Why don’t we just keep acting like usual around everyone else and see what happens?” I suggested.

I knew I needed to win the bet. I also knew I was going to develop feelings for both Calum and Luke, if I kept doing this. I needed to sort out my life and quickly.

“I like that idea.” He smiled down at me; he placed one more peck on my lips before turning to go to the hotel.

We kept a safe yet acceptable friend distance. The screams grew as he pushed his way through the crowd. I was scared. I had been with Ashton when the paps had caught us before, but I had never dealt with anything like this. I looked around the girls, most of them glaring daggers at me.

“Luke.” I managed to squeak out as a girl shouted at me.

“WHO’S THE WHORE?” I heard her shout.

“What in the fuck?” I shouted back at her.

Luke’s body flipped around to face me. “Ignore her; please don’t get into a fight.”

He pulled me in as tight as he could without breaking me into two. I had a death grip on his waist as he led us through the crowd. He leaned down to whisper into my ear.

“It’s okay, they won’t actually do anything. They’re just mad I’m with a girl.” He said, running his arm wrapped around me, up and down my arm.

“I know, this is just more than I’ve ever dealt with. And I’m afraid I’ll kick someone’s ass if they try anything.” I said back.

“We’re almost inside.” He reassured me.

We walked up the last couple steps into the hotel, Luke still didn’t let go. I released my grip on him when I realized the girls had been left behind us outside. He finally let go and I took a few shaky breathes before moving away.

“I’m sorry.” I cleared my throat.

“It’s okay. I feel like if I didn’t engulf you, you’d beat one of them down.” He chuckled as we entered the elevator. “But don’t lie, you were sort of scared.”

“What? Are you joking? I’m never scared.” I tried to hide the fact that I really was. It wouldn’t look good for my image.

“I can read you Kenz.” Luke continued to chuckle.

“Whatever.” I rolled my eyes as the elevator began to move.

“So what do we tell them?” Luke fidgeted nervously as the elevator neared our floors.

“The truth, we just leave out the mushy kissy details.” I smirked. “By the way we won’t be able to do that in front of anyone.”

“I know Kenz, I’m not daft.” He rolled his eyes.

“So for good measures, just so I don’t forget, remind me how it went.” I raised an eyebrow.

He took the two steps that separated us and slammed into the wall. He kissed me as vigorously as he could. I felt his tongue against my lips. I parted them so he could gain full entry. He ground his hips into mine a few times unexpectedly causing me to groan slightly into his mouth. He broke it off when we heard the elevator ding, signaling we were on our floor.

“And that’s how you leave her wanting more.” I heard him mumble as he exited. I stood there shocked for a couple of seconds, not expecting him to do something so... I don’t know…hot? I caught up to him halfway down the hall.

“Don’t ever do that again.” I shoved him into the wall.

“Do what, dear?” he asked as if he was innocent.

“Kiss me into oblivion and then just walk away like nothing happened!”

“Nothing’s happening, remember?” he winked at me as we heard a loud commotion coming from his room. “Let’s go see how much shit we’re in.”

I watched as he pulled his room key out of his pocket, biting down on his lip ring. He was nervous. I could tell. I wasn’t nervous per say, I just didn’t want anyone to get the wrong idea. Sure, we were going to be yelled at but I’ve been yelled at one too many times before. I didn’t want Ashton to send me home and I didn’t want Calum to think anything happened. Even if something did. As selfish as it may seem, I wanted to see where something went with both of them. I had conflicting feelings towards them both.

Luke opened the door and everyone inside stopped whatever it was they were doing. I followed him into the room closely.

“Hey guys. What’s up?” Luke asked with a chuckle.

“What’s up? What’s up?” Ashton shouted, standing up.

“We’ve been worried sick and all you can say is what’s up?” Michael rolled his eyes.

“We’re obviously old enough to sight see on our own.” I rolled my eyes back and sitting down on the couch.

“What if we wanted to go? And have you told anyone you’re safe yet?” Ashton asked.

“You were all being turds when I tried to get us to do something.”

“I’m texting everyone now.” Luke shrugged as he typed on his phone.

“Where were you guys? I left you two on a bench in front of the hotel. Randy said he turned around and you were both gone.” Scarlett looked at me.

“We explored.” I said no emotion in my voice.

“What’s it like?” Skylar came over sitting in front of me.

“Yes! Tell us!” piper pitched in.

“Wait, you’re going to tell me your best friend disappears, leaves her phone here, you can’t reach her all day and you aren’t even worried about it?” Calum asked.

“She’s obviously fine, she does this all the time.” Skylar said.

“She has point, I should have known they’d be okay.” Ashton said. “This isn’t the first time and won’t be the last I’m sure.”

“What did you guys even do for…?” Calum looked at his phone. “7 hours.”

“I told you we walked around the city. We found this market and it was so cute.” I said.

“Yeah we got a shit load of useless shit there.” Luke held up the bag still in his hands.

“You guys worry too much.” I rolled my eyes. “I’m going to my room. Scar can I borrow the key? I left mine in the room.”

“I’ll just come with you.” she said.

“Goodnight. I’ll see everyone tomorrow.”

I got up leaving, not even waiting for anyone to answer. Scar was close on my heels. I knew she was anxious to hear what happened with both Cal and Luke today. She pushed the card into our door; it was only across the hall, as Luke came out of the room.

“Hey, Kenz? Can I talk to you for a second?” he said.

“What’s up?” I said, closing the door so Scarlett couldn’t hear.

He walked over to me, quickly dropping his lips to mine. He pulled back as quick as he came and pushed his key card into his door, disappearing behind it. My heart raced. I knocked on the door and Scarlett quickly opened it.

“What did he want?”

“Nothing.” I said, subconsciously wiping my mouth with the back of my hand.

“I watched you through the peep hole. I saw him kiss you.” she raised an eyebrow.

“Fucking weirdo!” I laughed knocking her onto her bed.

“Shut up! Spill the details! Everything from Calum this morning, to Luke all day. Go!”

I laid down on her bed next to her and sighed. “Okay so here’s what happened…”

Today was the guy’s first show and I couldn’t be more excited. Scarlett and I slept in as late as we possibly could. The guys were off running around doing whatever it was they needed to do the day before a show. The girls and I were just lounging around the pool. It was hot today, in the 80s. Skylar and Scarlett were in the pool causing shenanigans as always while Piper and I just laid out.

We had no idea when the guys would be back; we just knew to be ready for 5 in the evening. It was only 2 so we had some time left. I had my eyes closed tight enjoying the afternoon sun. I felt the sun get darker, hoping it wasn’t starting to cloud up. I peeked open my left eye to see Calum standing above me in my sun.

“Well hello, creeper standing over me.” I smirked sitting up. He eyed up and down my body quickly before pulling a chair up next to mine.

“Well hello pretty girl sitting by the pool.” He smirked back. “I was hoping to catch some rays myself.”

“Oh shut up. You’re so tan already.” I rolled my eyes at him.

“But isn’t it sexy if I get tanner?”

“I’d say your tan now is pretty sexy.” I winked.

“Well I’m going to go swim.” Piper chuckled nervously beside me.

Damn it. I forgot she was trying to woo over Calum and I was ruining it. I sent her a ‘sorry’ look and she smiled letting me know it was okay.

“So I was hoping we could talk about yesterday.” He said, picking at his fingernails.

“Okay.” I nodded hesitantly. “What do you want to know?”

“Well, are we okay?”

“Yes, we’re fine Cal.” I smiled.

“I’m sorry. I didn’t mean to throw that all at you on the first day here. I just got too excited.” He chuckled. “But I did mean what I said.”

“I wish I didn’t mean what I said.” I sighed.

“Kenz, you know you can tell me anything right?” he leaned closer to me.

“I can’t tell you this or else I would.” I avoided making eye contact. “It has nothing to do with you or Ashton, I promise. Nothing like that.”

“Is it Luke?” he shot.

I couldn’t stop the laugh that escaped my lips. “No, it’s not Luke.”

“I’ll compete with my bandmate for a girl, we’ve done it before.” He eyed me.

“Cal stop! It’s not Luke.” I said.

“Are you sure?” he asked, switching from his chair to mine.

“Positive!” I said, readjusting myself so we both fit.

“If you say so!” he said right before his hands found my waist. He tickled me so hard; I thought I was going to stop breathing forever. I tried to swat him away but it was no use.

“Cal… stop…it.” I managed to get out in between breathes. He continued a few more seconds before finally letting up. I sat up, fixing my top so nothing popped out.

“But we’re cool?” he said, serious look on his face.

“We’re so cool.” I said.

“Good cause you look fucking fantastic in that suit.” He smirked, getting up leaving me speechless in my seat.

I rolled my eyes before gathering up my stuff. “I’m going to get ready.” I shouted at the girls, they all nodded in response.

We were at the venue and it was huge. It was some soccer stadium that fit a shitton of people. I was thoroughly impressed the boys sold it out. I smiled as I walked around backstage with the girls. We got to wear cute little badges that said we belonged. I felt so important.

“So how is it going with everyone?” Skylar asked.

It was only day two. None of us have really gotten that far. I was expecting this to take over half the tour, if not longer. I was also expecting it end with as a drunken mistake. Ashton had told me they liked to get really hammered if they had the chance. I knew we’d be able to join them so I figured that’s how this was going to all end.

“Good.” I shrugged.

“Not so great, but it’s only the beginning.” Piper said.

“Sorry Pipe.” I shot her an apologetic look.

“It’s okay, I’ve come to terms with the fact that I won’t win.” She giggled. Piper was a great friend. She was sweet and caring. I know she was excited about the bet but I also knew she could tell there was something more going on between Cal and I. “How about you everyone else?”

“Eh, Ashton played footies with me this evening at dinner and kept smirking at me. I guess that’s a start.” Scarlett shrugged.

“Michael and I haven’t really gotten anywhere, he’s sweet. He did give me his number since I didn’t have it.” Skylar shrugged.

“What does ‘good’ mean, Kenz?” Skylar smiled smugly at me.

“I dunno, things are going good?” I didn’t want the girls to know I had already kissed Luke.

“Stop being so modest Kenz.” Scar rolled her eyes. “They kissed.”

“Scar!” I shouted.

“Already? I knew it!” Skylar laughed.

“What about Calum?” piper asked.

“What about him?” I shot back, one eyebrow raised testing her.

“Never mind.” She sighed.

We heard the door open to the room we were in and all spun around to see the guys coming in. they were laughing about something. They all looked so handsome. Sure they always looked the same in my opinion but they were just a bit touched up for the show. Cal was wearing a black Green Day shirt filled with holes and his usual tight black jeans. Luke had on a red ripped up shirt and black jeans with the typical knee hole, the shirt was different for him. Ashton had his bandana on with all black everything else and Michael was wearing a black and shite stripped shirt with typical black jeans. They really needed to get some color in their life. All they wore was black.

“Hey ladies! Excited for tonight?” Ashton asked plopping down next to me.

“Yes, are you guys?” Skylar smiled as the rest of the guys filled in the empty seats around the room.

“Yes! That place is huge!” Calum said excitedly.

“Gonna be sick.” Luke smiled.

“Don’t forget the words you idiot.” I rolled my eyes.

“Hey! That was once!” Luke protested.

I stuck my tongue out at him. “Still happened.”

“5 minutes guys.” A skinny man popped his head into the room.

The guys all looked at each other, smiling widely. I knew they had some weird routine they needed to do before they went on every show. They all got up and headed for the door.

“Good luck!” I shouted. Like they suddenly remember we were there, they all came back to us, hugging each of us.

“We’ll look for you in the crowd.” Calum winked.

“We have special seats away from everyone.” I said.

“Damnit. Who am I supposed to sing all my cheesy lines to now?” he pouted.

“ME!” Luke shouted.

“Yes, good idea.”

“See you ladies after the show!” Mikey said closing the door behind him.

“Ready to go?” I asked the other girls. They all nodded excitedly.

I couldn’t wait to watch the guy’s rock out. They loved doing this. They melted the hearts of 50,000 girls every time they went on stage and they looked cool doing it. Tonight was the first show so I knew it was going to be great. I mean every show is great but the first and last are always the best. This tour was going to be perfect.
