Better Than Words

*Dessi's POV*

I grab a set of keys and head to get some Starbucks. I could use a good cup of coffee about right now. I feel bad they are all sleeping, so I pick random types coffee and bring it back to them along with fresh Krispy Kreme donut. As soon as I return to the house I sit down the coffees, pick up my Carmel Vanilla bean frappe and head to my bedroom. When I come in I tip toe so I don't wake Niall. After changing into socks, orange running shorts, and a TN Vols hoodie I'm ready to head up to the studio finally. Once im in I head strait to the piano, and start writing a new song.

*Niall's POV*

After I heard Dessi leave her room I followed her up the stairs to see what she was up to. I see her go up the staircase that leads to the studio. As I go to follow get im suddenly stopped and paralyzed by the best scent in the world. I smell donuts and coffee!I race into the kitchen. Oh my gosh there is do much! After picking a drink and eating donuts I go to see if she is still up there. I sneak in the room as she enters into what I think is a chorus? I've never heard this before. She's amazing!
"Cause there is no guarantee. That this life is easy. Yeah when my world is falling apart when there's no light to break up the dark, that's when I...I...I look at you. When the waves are flooding the shore and I can't find my way home anymore that's when I....I.. I look at you. I look at you. I see FORGIVENESS. I see the TRUTH."
Near the end of that chorus I joined in with my guitar. Following along in both notes and lyrics. She doesn't look at me in the eye. Once we've run through what she has written she stops and turns to me.

*Dessi's POV*

I can't believe he just heard that!
"what are you doing in here?" I ask.
"Your amazing Dessi! Please tell me you know that?" He asks.
I shrug.
"And those lyrics? So raw and right! They are phenomiNiall. See?"
I can't help but grin at his words.
"Niall, you can't be in here,with me. Alone."
"Why not?"
"Because I can't trust myself to not be foolish."
"What do you mean?" He asks totally oblivious.
"If you love that song so much read the last two lines written. You of all people should figure it out." And with that I left him.
