Chapter 44
Louis P.O.V
I opened the cupcake box and smiled, I was so nervous to ask her to be mine.
"Will you be my girl-" before I could finish my question, she was running away in tears.
"I guess that's a no?" I say to my self sulkily.
Why did I even think of this plan? Why did I have to ask her this way? Everything was going fine... Everything WAS supposed to go fine. Why didn't it go the way I wanted it to go to, then? I don't know. Everyone kept on telling me she likes- liked- me so, I went for it. But, I guess they were fucking wrong! They told she liked me! That's the only reason I agreed to go on with this because she liked me and I liked her! But, I guess they read the 'signals' wrong and she never liked me at all! But, I guess that's life, isn't it? Not getting what you want and dying in the end? Probably...
Those were the thoughts in my head as I arrived in front of our door, didn't realize I ran until I opened the door and saw everyone laughing. They're happy, why can't I be? I thought and darted towards my room, making sure to make a bang and lock my door so nobody can lie to me anymore.
April P.O.V
He finally asked me, well it was a surprise but still, on a date! I liked him so much and have waited for so long for him to make a move. I was never the girl who madde the move or flirted, I was the shy girl around boys who just became friends with them and showed them my crazy side when they became close to me and I trusted them.
Louis, he was the exception. I wanted to spend every aching moment beside him or with him or just seeing him. Weird? Probably.. but, I've never felt this way before. Sounds cliche? Who cares, it's what I feel.
"This is amazing, Lou." I gaze at the stars again, we were lying down on a mat up on the roofdeck after our dinner.
"I know, you've said that like 20 times." he huffed, I punched his arm jokingly and we just laughed.
I loved Lou's humour and how dramatic he got everytime I playfully abused him, sounds bad but I think you get it.
"But, seriously. This is the best first date ever." I sigh knowingly.
"Date? I never said this was a date." he said propping up a shoulder to see me.
Shit, it's not a date?! FUCK. WHAT AN IDIOT.
"Erm.." was all I could bare to say before something else came out of my mouth that I would soon regret.
"I was kidding, love." I looked back at him and now propped my elbow up the same way as he did to me. "This is a date."
I felt a blush creeping up to my cheeks so I dropped my elbow and looked at the stars once again.
"The stars are beautiful." I changed the subject quite cooly.
"Not as beautiful as you." he whispered, I turned my body to face him and his face was stone cold serious.
"You are..." I say dramatically, "so cheesy!"
I laugh and even more since Lou started to tickle me.
"Ahem." I hear someone cough from behind us, we both roll on our bellies and see Hannah with a box. "I've got the dessert for you guys."
Louis and I sat up properly.
"Thanks, Hann." Lou winks at her, Hannah just smiles so widely back.
'Thanks!" I say before she disappears.
"Now, what have you got up your sleeve, Lou?" I say with a smug smile.
He cleared his throat, rubbed his hands on his jeans, and coughed a bit before holding the box facing me.
"Will you be my girl-" I could already see the rest of his question inside the box, each letter on a cupcake.
WHAT DO I DO?! IM PANICKING?! IM NOT READY FOR THIS. HOLY SHIT.
So, I stood up and ran away.
"I just wasn't thinking properly." I cry onto Hannah's shoulder.
I ran to the park and called Hannah after around 20 minutes awhile ago.
We were seated on a bench under a tree and only a lamp shade from a distance helped us see. It was pretty chilly but, the park always helped us with our problems.
"Shh. Shh.." she hummed as I just continued to sob.
I finally got the courage and wipe my tears away and stood up..
"Where are you going?" Hannah said confused, I had already started walking my way to their flat.
"I'm going to Lou." I said simply.
"He's not ready yet! He hasn't even talked to any of us and the lads." Hannah had caught up and was now walking backwards while talking to me.
"DON'T WALK BACKWARDS, SILLY." I demanded, she didn't listen. "Ugh..."
"Sleep in my room and talk to him in the morning, please. I don't think he's ready yet." she begged.
I stopped and so did she.
"Fine, what about Ni though?" I gave up, it was the only way and the quickest way I could talk to Louis.
"Let me call him while we walk." Hannah had dialed Niall's number and we were close to our destination.
"Can April crash with us for tonight?" she asked, "Uh huh. That was what I was thinking too." she looked at me with a thumbs up and I just smiled, "You're the bestest guys! Bye, yeahp. See you soon." and she hung up.
"And?" we had entered the lift by now.
"The boys, except Lou, agreed with our plan and Ni will crash with Liam for now." she explained.
Niall P.O.V
I had put on Hannah on speaker for everyone to hear her speak.
"Can April crash with us for tonight?" she questioned us.
"Sure. I think Lou and her might need to talk in the morning, he locked himself in his room for tonight." Zayn inquired.
"Uh hu. That was what I was thinking too." she chirped.
"Great!" Harry exclaims.
"Where would I sleep though?" I asked.
"With me, you can crash with me, mate." Liam patted my shoulder.
"Kay!" I grinned, "Just like ol' times."
"You're the bestest guys!" she squealed.
"Awwh, shucks." we acted like girls into the phones and laughed.
"Bye," she said.
"BYEE." we chorused, "See ya soon?" I asked.
"Yeahp. See you soon." and the call ended.
"This is the best idea so far." Liam sighed.
"I haven't seen Boo like this before." Harry said worriedly.
"Dontcha worry, we'll fix him up." I assured them, they all nodded.
"HELLOOOO." Hannah whisper yelled into the room with April sulking behind her.
"Hi!" we all said and stood up, we immediately bear hugged April. That's our initial reaction when someone's down in the dumps, you see.
"Thanks, guys." she sighed after we let go of her, "I think I'll head to bed." she pointed towards upstairs.
We all said 'ok'.
"Just get anythings from the closet on the left, those are mine." Hannah commented as April nodded and disappeared up the staircase.
We peered and amde sure she was gone before interrogating Hannah on the info.
"Nuh uh, I'm not telling you." she raised her hands to make us stop talking.
"C'mon." Harry whined and stomped his foot.
"Tsk." she pointed to hush Harry, "No is no. She's my bestfriend and she swore me to secrecy."
And like that, the case was closed and we all headed to bed.
Liam and I just lied down beside each other at a safe distance, like we used to, and slept.
I zoned out after saying goodnight to my bestmate right beside me.
