Now We Have Love ♥A 1D and 5SOS Adoption Story♥

The Fan

I shaded my eyes as I stepped off the plane, feeling drained from the long ride and the guilt I was wearing like a second skin. I was sitting in the airport while Scarlet was screaming for her life.

Eleanor had called me. She was crying in her bedroom and now I was the only one who knew how she felt. We were helpless bystanders while the ones we loved most were being hurt. She should be ignored Louis and tried to help. I should've been there to help.

And there was nothing either of us couldn't about it now.

I was quickly located by my security detail, Jordan, and we grabbed my luggage. I noticed a few fans tweeting and inwardly groaned. I really couldn't deal with a swarm today. But of course that's what I got eight minutes later. We could hardly move through the thick crowd.

"Melody! Melody!"

"I love you!" Not really in the mood, I tucked my beanie down even lowered onto my head and looked down. I thought about Scarlet and what she might be feeling at the moment. How terrified and untrusting she was toward the world. She needed us and we weren't enough for her.

"Help me! Please! Someone!" A piercing scream broke me out of my pity party and my head snapped up. It sounded like a girl was crying in pain. I broke away from Jorda and pushed through the throng. Maybe the past hours events were getting to me more than I thought but I didn't stop moving past bodies until I got to the girl who was crunched up on the floor, shielding her face.

I grabbed her hand and pulled her up, almost crushing her with a hug. The girl reciprocated it and squeezed my waist like it was her lifeline.

"Are you okay?" I asked. The girl looked up at me and her green eyes widened. She probably hadn't known that I was the one who helped her.

"I'm Carla." She said in a daze. I laughed and nodded.

"Hi Carla, are you okay?" I said, smiling in relief. She nodded, her mouth in a round "o."

"I'm Carla." She replied. I chuckled and pet her head.

"You're cute." I smiled. Someone put their hand on my shoulder and I turned to see Jordan, looking flustered and really worried.

"Ms.Hood, we have to get going." He said breathlessly. I sighed and let go of Carla.

"Fine. Bye, Carla." I said and turned away.

Once out of the airport and into the VS car sent to pick me up, I went into my coat pocket and pulled out my phone. Or what should've been my phone.

Instead of my 5sos case (courtesy of Dad) I had a Hello Kitty case over an Android. Not an iPhone.

"Holy mother of God!" I exclaimed quietly.
