Sweepstakes

After I arrived home I walked into the kitchen to find my brother with a cut lip.

"What happened?" I asked

"Me and a guy got into a fight"

"Over what?" I ask in wonder

"You" He replies

"What do you mean?"

"Some guy was talking about you saying he wanted to fuck you and that you were a slut... So I punched him and we got into a fight." He said

"What?!" I yell "You don't just do that stuff, I know you were protecting me and I love you for that but still"

"I know I got mad" He said

"How long did you get kicked?" I asked, starting to calm down

"Two days"

"Then you do Laundry, Dinner, and groceries"

"And we both have to go through mom and dad's things you know" he says and I saw his jaw start to clench.

"I know its been a year now and we've avoided doing it" I say and my eyes start to get red.

*Flashback*

"Are we almost there?" I asked getting impatient.

"Yes- about five minutes" My dad said with excitment. We were going bowling, just like every other normal Friday. We stopped at a red light, not knowing what would happen next would change the Burns family forever. A black suv going the opposite way but he turned into our lane and slammed into us. Instantly killing my mom.

"Mommy!" I shrieked. My brother got me out. Me and my brother got my dad out and he laid there. With no movement. I tried to stop the bleeding while my brother called 911.

"Dad! Don't leave us" Thats all I could say. I saw blood come out of his mouth and I saw the life go out of his eyes. I looked up and saw a man in the black suv he seemed to be... smiling he looked at me with a devilish look and I felt the anger fill up inside me. I tried to run toward the car but something stopped me I looked down and I saw my leg cut, gushing blood. I turned to Cory and he was holding his arm. I turned back and ran towards the suv but it backed up and sped away. I yelled and tried to get him to turn around but he just continued to drive. I fell and I tried to get up but failed and Cory (my brother) ran to my aid. We both looked around and I saw Cory start to cry.

"BLOODY HELL" He shouted

"What?" I asked

"We're all alone" he said with more tears

*Flashback over*

"It's ok" Cory said getting up and hugging me and I realized I was crying. I looked at my leg and saw the huge scar and felt more anger. I would get the guy that killed my parents if it was the last thing I do.

"I'm gonna get ready for bed." I said

"Do you mind if I have some friends over?" Cory asked

"Go Ahead" I smile as I walk up to my room

"U da best" He called

"Tell me something I don't know" I called back

"I locked the door to my room and jumped on my laptop and went to the website that August showed us about the contest and started to enter again and again. I wanted to win.
