All Too Well

Chapter three

I woke up to little feet jumping next to me on the bed. I opened my exhausted eyes and looked at the little girl with blonde pigtails who was giggling and shouting for me to wake up. I groaned into my pillow and said good morning to her.

“Lux I told you not to wake her!” A raspy voice scolded by the doorframe. All I could think was great, now I had to deal with him first thing in the morning.

“What time is it?” I groaned once more.

“Good morning to you too, Its like ten in the morning.” Harry said with a cheeky smile.

“Oh my god, no I never wake up this late, why didn’t anyone wake me up?” I scrambled to my feet while almost tripping out of the bed.

“Well I was going to, but when I walked in you were tossing so much that I figured you needed more sleep.” The curly haired boy replied.

“I told Harry you always sleep like that.” Lux said in a matter of fact tone. I picked her up and held her close to me as Harry looked at me quizzically.

“What? I get bad dreams okay? Its not a big deal.” I said, obviously annoyed that he was butting into my business. I gathered my things and walked out of the bedroom. Lou was sitting in the living room as I walked out.

“Lou, thanks for letting me crash here, I gotta go though, I hope you had a great birthday.” I said in a rushed manner as I quickly hugged her and Lux and left.

Once I got home I took a long hot shower and ate breakfast. I made my usual breakfast quinoa with berries and cinnamon. After I ate I got ready for the day, as I had to do a lot of work on my blog. I decided to just put sea salt spray in my hair and leave it in natural loose waves. For my makeup I put on my favorite foundation and did a smudgy eyeliner look with a thick coat of mascara. I added a nice baby pink lip to finish off the look. Just as I was putting the finishing touches on my makeup my phone buzzed letting me know I had gotten a new text.

Hey Collins, it’s Eleanor! I was wondering if you wanted to hang out today? Xx

I smiled and texted her back.

Hey El! I’d love to but I have to do a look of the day post for my blog. :(

I was sad that I couldn’t hang out with my new friend, especially since she seemed like such a sweet girl.

Why don’t I come by and help? I’m sure you could use an extra pair of hands, and that sounds like a lot of fun! Xx

I’m not sure why I hadn’t thought of that first, as I actually did need somebody to take the photographs, but I was really excited that Eleanor wanted to help.

I have no idea why I didn’t think of that, that would be so awesome of you!

Eleanor told me she would be over in twenty minutes after I gave her my address, so I quickly chose an outfit for the shoot. I decided upon white and black hounds tooth pants, with a green sweater and chunky statement necklace. The outfit looked super put together, but it was still fun when I paired it with the accessories. Eleanor arrived on time and we headed out to a park in London where we could do the shoot.

“Okay so pretty much, I’m going to pose like an idiot and you’re going to take pictures and laugh at me.” I explained to El as I laughed at the whole process. It would be slightly embarrassing as the park was busy today. El took the camera and took a ton of pictures as she yelled things such as “work it girl” and “own that park bench” at me. I had to admit that she was the best photographer I ever had help me. The pictures came out so good, and all of my smiles and poses looked genuine. I looked at El and noticed that she looked absolutely amazing. She wore shinny disco pants with black desert shoes and the most adorable blouse.

“El, can you please pose for some pictures? You look amazing and my followers would absolutely die over your outftit.” I gushed.

“Of course! I’d love to guest star on London’s up and coming fashion and makeup it girl’s blog!” she joked with me and I rolled my eyes and smirked at her. El and I really got on well as we both loved fashion and we had a similar sense of humor.

When Eleanor finished her part of the shoot I asked her if she ha ever considering modeling. She honestly had the perfect body and face for it.

“I mean yeah, but Louis fans would eat me alive if I did. I just don’t want all of the hate you know? It can get kinda crazy.” She said with complete sincerity in her voice. I nodded as I took in her answer.

“ I still think you should do it. Im serious, don’t let anybody stop you. I can get you some smaller gigs if you want to try it out.” I told her with complete seriousness washing through my voice.

“Collins you’re crazy!” El laughed as she pushed me lightly with her elbow. She looked down at the ground and thought for a moment. “I would like to try it though, do you really think you could get me in a show or something?” she asked timidly.

“Of course! I’ll get in contact with some people tonight.” I smiled at her as excitement filled my entire body.

“Oh Collins, speaking of getting in contact… Harry asked me for your number this morning. I hope that’s okay, its just that he had made it seem like you both hit it off last night. It wasn’t until right after that Lou called me and told me that you didn’t seem like you wanted to have anything to do with him.” El explained all of this and I sighed. What could I say? The poor girl didn’t mean to do anything wrong.

“Its okay El, he probably lost interest by now anyway.” I said simply with a reassuring smile.

We went and grabbed coffee at my favorite little café and chatted for a little while. Eleanor was a fabulous person and I wanted to hang out with her a lot more. Apparently she felt the same because she asked if we could hang out again tomorrow.

“Well I’m working a show tomorrow during the day, but why don’t you come over for dinner? I’ll make edamame salad and lemon grilled chicken. Louis can come too!” I told El.

“Oh my gosh that sounds amazing Collins, seriously. I’m sure Louis would love to come too!” She said excitedly.

“Perfect! Dinner will be at around seven, so if you guys want to come at like six for drinks and stuff that’d be great.”

After coffee with Eleanor, I got home around three and uploaded the pictures to my blog. I was excited that everyone loved the pictures and the fashion. I was a little surprised to see a couple people comment about how shocked they were that I knew “THE Eleanor Calder”. I didn’t realize just how in the spotlight she actually was. I wasn’t exactly sure how she dealt with all of it to be honest. I wasn’t famous by any means, but I was well known enough to the point where my name was definitely out there and I’ve worked with a ton of celebrities. But with El it was completely different. She was just a girl in university who happened to be dating a celebrity, but she gets followed around and sent hate all the time. Just thinking about this made me even less interested in Harry, which I didn’t think was possible.

I must have jinxed myself because right at that moment I got a text from the devil himself.

Hang out with me? –H

The boy was extremely forward, so I saw no point in beating around the bush with him either.

No Harry.

I put my phone down on the white kitchen counter and decided to make myself a cup of tea. I didn’t expect Harry to text me back, mostly because I thought that my simple answer would have gotten the point that I wasn’t interested in him across. When my phone vibrated with the incoming of a new text message, I sighed in frustration.

Why not? -H

This boy was difficult, and it killed me inside to even have to entertain him like this.

Because I don’t want to. I’m busy so I have to go, bye.

Once Harry was done annoying me for the night, I had the urge to read a good book. I decided to read Take Me There. It was about a boy with a past who was in love with a girl who is considered too good for him, and as they fall in love, he needs to protect her from his troubled life. The book was good, and I finished it in one sitting. I sat up the rest of the night watching youtube videos on my laptop. I loved this kind of night, just sitting at home, in leggings, a t-shirt and a comfy oversized cardigan, drinking tea and just relaxing. It was hard to find people my age who shared the same love for this as I did. Most of them just wanted to go out and party every night, especially the people I came in contact with through work. Sure, I liked a good night on the town or a good house party on occasion, but not every night. However, most of my acquaintances were models and celebrities. Except for Lou, she had Tom and Lux so she couldn’t go out and party every night, and I didn’t feel the need, but she was about the only friend I had here who was like that.
