Elena's POV I woke up the next morning realizing that I had fallen asleep on Harry. Soon after he woke up as well. "Sorry," I said siting up. "For what?" "I feel asleep on you." He laughed and said, "It's alright El, you looked sweet and comfortable so I didn't want to wake you." I smiled and took the blanket we had off. "Harry? Did we sleep with a blanket on?" "Not that I recall." Then the smell of chocolate chip pancakes suddenly hit me and I got up to walk to the kitchen, Harry following me. "Oh hello sweetie, how did you sleep?" "Hey Anne, I slept good thanks. Umm did you put a blanket on us?" "Oh yes dear. I came home last night and you two were already asleep on the couch. I didn't want to wake you because... well you two just looked adorable." I looked at Harry and he was already smiling and he gave his mom a kiss on the cheek. "Good morning Mum." "Good morning hun, breakfast is ready for you guys, dig in!" I put my hair up in a bun and sat down next to Harry as we ate our breakfast. When we were done Harry grabbed Anne and my plate and washed them. "So what are you two planning to do today?" "Umm I'm not really sure," I said looking at Harry. "I was hoping all three of us could go out before we leave tomorrow." "Where are you going?" "We're going to spend the week in LA," said Harry. "Oh really? Wow lets not waste this day." "Alright well I'm going to go home and take a quick shower and afterwards we can head out maybe to the zoo?" "The zoo sounds wonderful El!" said Anne. "Great, Harry do you mind if you take me home?" "Not at all, I actually have to shower as well. We'll see you later mum?" "Of course honey, see you soon. Bye Elena!" "Bye Anne." ----- It was 11 o'clock and I had finished getting ready.I quickly packed a small backpack with stuff we might need. I then received a text from Harry saying he was on his way to pick me up and as I was scrolling through my messages I saw that Jack had texted me last night. How didn't I see this? I shrugged it off and quickly replied back. Me: Hey babe, sorry I fell asleep last night, to much work. Ugh I'm just filled with lies, I'll tell him eventually just not now. He immediately replied and said.. Jack: It's okay love, what are you doing today? Ok time to start telling the truth no lies. Me: Going to the zoo today with Harry and his mom. When I didn't get a reply I got worried but soon Jack called me. "Hello?" "The zoo? With Harry?" "And his mom, Jack please don't be mad. You know I'm just visiting I haven't seen her since--" I couldn't seem to complete that sentence for some reason. "Since what? Elena?" "Since Harry and I broke up the first time." Jack stood in silence but once he finally spoke up what he said shocked me. "Do you still love him?" "W-what?" "Harry? Do you still love him?" "Jack-" "It's just a simple yes or no question Elena." I didn't even know the answer to that question, I don't think I do because I'm with Jack but why do I feel like there's still a hole in my heart even when I'm around him. "El." "Jack-- I don't love him." "You don't?" "No. I love you." Liar, thats what i am. I didn't mean it but it was the only way to cool him down. "I love you too and I'm sorry. It's just I know how much you and Harry have been through and I guess I was just afraid that--." "Jack it's okay I know but I want you to be able to trust me." "I do trust you, it's Harry I don't trust." "Harry? Why? He hasn't done anything." "I know it's just the way you two act around each other. You don't act that way with me." "Jack can we please just drop this." "Yeah-- okay. I'm sorry it's just everything seems like it starting off a mess right now." "I know I'm sorry I've just been so busy but I promise I'll try saving time for us okay?" "Promise?" "Pinky." "Alright." "Well Harry's guna be here any minute now so ill talk to you later okay." "Alright, and Elena?" "Yeah?" "I love you." "Love you too babe." And with that I hung up feeling so guilty for popping out the "L" word when I'm not even sure I meant it. I sat on my bed just thinking when I then heard a knock on my bedroom door. "Harry?" "Hey love." Ugh, he gives me shivers when he says that. No stop it Elena! "How'd you get in?" "You forgot to lock your door... again." "Oohhh." He chuckled and said, "You always forget." "I know, I'm so clumsy." "Yup you are." "Hey you didn't have to agree," I said punching his arm. He just laughed again. "Ready to go?" "Yeah, is your mom ready?" "She's been ready." "She has." "Yeah she's so excited." "Really?" "Yeah she's never been to the zoo before and she's excited to spend time with us before we go." I was happy to hear that. "Well lets not keep her waiting." ----- "Look at those monkeys over there sweetie!" Anne said to Harry. "They look funny." "Hmm reminds me of someone I know," I said eyeballing Harry. "You better not be talking about me!" "And if I am?" "Muuummmm," Harry wines as I laugh. "Oh Hun you know she's just messing around." Anne then walked over to me and whispered. "They could be twins." "I heard that!" We both laughed and after hours of walking around visiting the animals it was already 6:30 pm and we decided to grab some lunch and head back to Anne's to say goodbye and start packing for LA. "And one Grilled Steak with a Lemonade for the beautiful Anne," the waiter said giving Anne her food. "Thank you dear." "No problem, let me know if you guys need anything else," she said as she walked away. "So where'd Harry go?" He went out really quick to take a phone call. We were currently having lunch in The Cheesecake Factory, Anne's favorite restaurant. "So how are you two?" "What do you mean?" "You guys seem close again." "Yeah, we are. I mean we've had our ups and downs these past months that's for sure." "But always seem to work things out." "Yeah?..." "You remind me a lot of someone I knew along time ago." "Really?" She nods her head and continues, "She was very clumsy and stubborn-." "Yup sounds like me." She laughs and says so sweetly, "But she was also very strong and caring. Until one day she got in an argument with her long time love and as usual she thought everything was going to end up fine in the end since it always has. You their type of love was very special, they always seemed to find there way back. But this time he gave her the option to either have him leave and never look back or go back to the ways things were. And as stubborn and stupid as she was... she let him go because she let her anger take over." I notice as she gets a bit teary. "Not once did she ever get any call or contact from him. Not one day she doesn't look back and regret that decision she made because after years she found out that he was gone." As she was talking I finally put everything into pieces. "What you and Harry have is real. I've never seen anyone else happier than the way you guys are together. I don't want you to make the same mistake I did Elle." "Anne I'm so sorry." "Its okay, look I know you're with someone already." "How did you know that?" "Honey please, I've known you for years. I know you more than you know yourself." That's true. "Let me ask you a question." She then grabs my hand which was placed on the table. "Do you feel the same way you do when you're with Harry around him?" I really thought about it for a couple minutes but when I finally was about to answer Harry came sitting next to me. "Hey lovelies." Anne removed her hand and you could sense the awkwardness, hopefully Harry didn't hear anything. "What's wrong?" "Oh nothing dear I was just telling Elena how much I missed her." She looked at me and signaled me to play along. "Yeah." "I wouldn't be surprised she probably missed you more than me." Throughout the rest of the dinner Harry never stopped smiling and he definitely seemed in a happier mood. When we finished eating Harry offered to pay for it all and as we were waiting for Anne as she was in the restroom I asked Harry what was up with him. "Tell me what happened." "What do you mean?" "You came back from the phone call you took and now you're all happy and smiley. What happened? Who called?" He didn't say anything but chuckle. "Tell me!" "Your so stubborn. Don't worry it's nothing bad." Anne then came out and we went back home to say goodbye before we left. ----- "I'll miss you guys, thank you for stopping buy." "We'll come visit again mum I promise." "Alright sweetie now you two have fun in LA but not to much fun." "Okay mum." "Harry do you mind if I talk to Elena for a second." "No ill be waiting outside, love you mum." "Love you too sweetie." Harry gave Anne a kiss on the cheek and walked out the door. "Elena.. I know you have many mixed feelings right now. But please think about what we discussed at the restaurant." "Anne--" "Please Elena just think about it I don't want to force you into anything but I certainly don't want you to make the wrong decisions." "Okay... I will." "Goodbye sweetheart. Whenever you need someone to talk to you know I'm just a call away or a plane." She gave me a hug and whispered, "And thank you for being a part of Harry's life." I looked back at her and smiled. I wanted to cry but I tried holding it in. I knew what she said was right but I didn't want to break Jack's heart... again. Harry's POV: I wonder what mum wanted to talk to Elena about, probably just to say goodbye and how much she missed her, as always. While I was waiting I looked through my phone at all the pictures we had taken today at the zoo and one defiantly caught my eye. One when all three of us were in front of a beautiful Elephant. Me in the middle, my mum on the right and Elena on my left with her arms wrapped around me looking up at me with the hugest smile on her face. It was perfect. I logged on to my Instagram and immediately posted the photo with the Caption "What a lovely day with my two favorite girls. x" I can't wait to tell Elena the good news. Taylor and I are officially over, done, for good, bye bye! I'm hoping that our time together in LA would bring is close together again and she would finally be mine.
