The Wrong Woman

31

I headed toward our office, my head still pounding from last night’s drinking session.

“Harry.”

The sound of Campbell’s voice made me jump.

“I need you to do a delivery tonight.” He said. “Very important. I trust you are free to do that?”

“Sure.” I said instantly. My eyes lowered to the lipstick print on his cheek and I could not help
but feel a surge of annoyance.

“Good boy.” He said patting me on the shoulder. I watched as he walked away, my eyes narrowed and fists clenched. I then barged into the office to see Felicity reapplying her lipstick. She looked over at me with a smile but I ignored her as I made my way to the counter to make a coffee.

“Good morning Harry.” She said cheerfully and I grumbled in response. “Not in a good mood today I see.”

I rolled my eyes, my back still turned to her as I poured the coffee.

“I’ll have one too.” She called. “No sugar and just a little milk.”

“Well that’s fucking presumptuous of you.” I retorted as I made her a coffee.

“So what’s troubling you today?” She said playfully, but then her face suddenly grew serious. “It’s not Louis, is it? Did something happen?”

“Nah it’s not Louis.” I mumbled as I placed the coffee on her desk.

“Well then, why all the sulking?”

I paused for a moment, my eyes travelling from her full red lips down the front of her crisp white business shirt and how she had left it unbuttoned at the top.

“You put on quite a show out there.” I said.

“Oh?” She said, looking momentarily embarrassed.

“Uh huh…" I nodded. “I was… impressed.”

“Really now?” The embarrassed look was now replaced by a knowing smile. “Did you enjoy it?"

“Yes and no.” I replied. “Yes because… well let’s face it. You’re hot. Especially when you got all shy about it. And no, because…”

I trailed off, not knowing how to word the rest of my sentence.

“Maybe you were jealous.” Felicity finished it for me.

I slowly drank my coffee as I considered her words. She was right, but I didn’t want her to know that. Too late though, her lips curled up into a smile and she looked kind of flattered.

“Well you don’t have to laugh at me.”

“I’m not.” She said, her eyes sparkling.

“Yes you are.”

“Well, maybe a little.” She admitted. “You’re kind of cute.”

“Cute?” I said making a face.

“Yeah cute.”

“You keep saying that and I’ll show you cute.” I said and she opened her mouth to respond when Callie barged into the office.

“Lots of orders are coming through today.” She said. Felicity and I broke our gaze to look over as Callie placed some files on my desk. “I’ll be working in here for a while.”

I reluctantly sat at my desk and drained the rest of my cup as I waited for my computer to load. The rest of the morning dragged on as we kept exchanging looks as we worked. Callie was so immersed in her work that she did not even notice I was walking around with a hard on. Felicity glanced at me and licked her lips. She was having fun with this, but I was starting to get restless. Did she want me the way I wanted her? The whole room was charged and I couldn’t help but sit there and bite my lip as I watched Felicity type away. Her hair was pulled back, her calf length skirt hiding her shapely legs, her business shirt unbuttoned but not enough for me to see anything worth seeing. She happened to look up at me and I knew I must have looked as needy as I felt by the way she smiled at me.

I think I would have exploded if Callie didn’t gather her handbag and coat and announce.
“I’m going out for lunch. Does anyone want to come with me?”

Felicity and I both shook our heads and we silently watched as she shrugged her shoulders and left the office. We paused for a few moments before I stood up and took her by the arm.

“Come with me.”

I pulled her into the utility room, a small space attached to our office. It was really a glorified closet, nothing too flash, but I didn’t care. It was enough space for what I wanted to do. It looked like Felicity had the same idea because her fingers instantly reached for my zipper and I saw the surprise on her face when she realised how hard I was.

“You’ve been eye fucking me all morning.” I whispered to her.

“What if someone catches us?” She whispered back, her eyes wide with anticipation.

“Well, we’re gonna just have to be quiet.” I said. “And fast.”

My fingers quickly worked on her shirt buttons, opening it up to reveal her white lacy bra. I could not stop myself from letting my lips descend onto her breasts, nipping and licking her as she threw her head back and moaned.

“Shhh..” I said.

I knew time was against us and I also knew I wasn’t going to last long anyway. I needed her right now and as though in answer to my thoughts I heard her whisper.

“Fuck me.”

She didn’t have to tell me twice as I hitched up her skirt and wasted no time in sinking into her. A guttural groan escaped my lips which I tried to stifle by biting my lip. Fuck, it felt so good. The sound of heavy breathing filled the small space as I cupped her breast, squeezing hard as I thrust into her. Her lips parted, so I pressed my lips against her, hungrily kissing her in an attempt to suppress her moans of pleasure. I slid in and out of her, savouring her warmth and wetness, desperate to reach my high. I could feel her building toward her own high as her breath became shallow and she dug her fingers into my skin willing me to fuck her harder. She got there before me and I instinctively clapped my hand over her mouth to keep her quiet. Her fingers kneaded my ass as she rolled her hips against me, tightening around me, making my skin heat up with my impending orgasm.

“Fuuck.” I let out a low growl as I came.

We clung onto each other for a few moments, still breathing heavily before I finally pulled away to quickly get dressed. Felicity took my cue and began to swiftly button up her top and straighten her top.

“You’re amazing… you know that?” I blurted. She smiled over her shoulder as she re-tied her hair and walked out of the room. I followed her seconds later only to hear footsteps. I saw the look of panic on Felicity’s face before we even heard Campbell’s voice.

“Felicity are you-“

He stopped mid-sentence once he caught sight of us. We were standing outside that door and a quick glance at Felicity and I could see she was pink cheeked with her hair slightly out of place and her top three buttons opened. I knew I probably had the just fucked look about me too which I tried to cover up with a nonchalant look as I rifled through the files on my desk.

“Are you free for lunch now?” Campbell asked, his gaze switching from me to Felicity.

“Sure.” Felicity said lightly. “Just let me get my bag.”

Campbell eyed me suspiciously as Felicity rushed to get her handbag, self-consciously patting her hair.

“Harry was just helping me get some copy paper.” She said. “I think we need a step ladder in that utility room, otherwise I’ll have to keep bothering Harry.”

“I don’t mind.” I replied woodenly.

“Hmm.” Campbell responded, as though everyday office problems were the least of his concerns.

“I’ll be back in an hour.” Felicity told me. “Callie should be back soon.”

“Sure thing.” I said as they left the office. I let out a long sigh once they were gone.

Shit, that was close. Amazing, but too damn risky. I knew we had to be careful in the future… because I suddenly realised, I didn’t want this to end.

That night I was onto my fifth beer with Zayn and he was in the middle of some long story that he found hilarious, but I was too busy checking my phone to listen. I had been sending messages to Felicity, trying to convince her to come to my house for the night, but she was having none of it.

I can’t do tonight

I took a swig of my beer before I shot back a response.

Come on… I need you

Need me for what? :)

You *know* what

Oh Harry, you really have a way with girls

Come on… we can have some wine… maybe watch a movie. Please

Haha since when do you drink wine?

“Are you even listening to what I’m saying?” I looked up to see Zayn looking at me questioningly.

I heaved a sigh and threw my phone to the side.

“Yeah.” I said listlessly.

“So what happened to the car?”

“What car?”

“I knew you weren’t fucking listening.” Zayn tossed a couple of bottle tops at my head.

It was nearly ten o’clock when I sent my last message to Felicity.

Come.over… PLEASE

Campbell’s home… can’t go anywhere

Campbell. Shit. Campbell? I suddenly remembered the package in the backseat of my car.

“Shit. Shit. Shit!” I cried.

“What’s wrong?” Zayn asked.

“I was meant to deliver a package for Campbell.” I was slurring my words so I did not even know if Zayn understood me.

“So what… deliver it tomorrow.” He said, lying back on the couch again.

“I can’t do that.” I said springing from my armchair and nearly knocking over the table topped with beers. I rushed out the door in a panic, ignoring Zayn who followed me.

“Mate, it’s late and you’re pissed… you can’t drive.”

I had just opened my car door but paused as Zayn’s words sunk in.

“Maybe I should call Felicity.” I said fumbling with my phone.

“Felicity?” Zayn asked puzzled. “Why would you want to call her?”

“Because.” I mumbled back, before pocketing my phone again.

I stood there for a moment wondering what I should do. Zayn was right. Neither of us was sober enough to drive.

“Forget it mate. Deliver it tomorrow… no big deal.” He said. “I mean, how important could it be?”

I shrugged remembering the serious look on Campbell’s face every time he gave me a delivery to do, when I noticed Zayn pick up the parcel and shake it.

“What do you think it is anyway?” He asked.

“Dunno.” I replied. “But put it down.”

“Aren’t you even curious?”

I watched as Zayn poked at the box before peeling back the sticky tape.

“Zayn, leave it.”

“Let me just have a look.” He said.

He ripped the box open and let out a low whistle.

The box opened to reveal pills.

Hundreds of pills all sorted in zip lock bags, including a small bag containing a white powder.

Zayn and I stared at each other in shock.

“Jesus Christ.” I murmured. “I’m a fucking drug runner.”
