Starting Over

Wedding Day, Bells of Joy

Samy’s POV
The concert was absolutely perfect. I stand in my same spot and watch as the crowd thins. A few girls walked from high within the stadium bleachers down to see if they could meet me. Of course I was happy to meet them. I’m always happy to meet fans of the boys. I took some pictures and talked for a while, laughing the whole time. After the stadium had cleared out, a very strong pair of arms wrapped around me waist from behind and a slightly stubbly chin brushed against my shoulder as a nose nuzzled my neck with a deep breath; Liam. My amazing, strong, stubborn man was doing what he does best; showing me how much he loved me.
“How long have you been watching me?” I ask; I know him too well. He’s got that smirk on his face, a proud smirk.
“About 20 minutes. I was standing off to the side where no one could see me. I was just watching you interact with the fans. They love you. You looked so beautiful and so happy and peaceful while you were talking to them. It was amazing to watch,” he says, but something is off. He’s nervous about something.
“What’s wrong, handsome?” I inquire anxiously. I hope he’s not reconsidering tomorrow. That would be too much to handle.
“You’re sure you want to go through with tomorrow? I still feel like I rushed you or forced you into it” he says.
“I’ve never been more positive of anything in my life. Are you having second thoughts?”
“Not a chance, love. Come tomorrow you’ll be Mrs. Samantha Payne” he says sweetly, pulling me in for a hug and long kiss.
Liam’s POV
“Come tomorrow, you’ll be Mrs. Samantha Payne” I say. I just want to repeat it over and over again. It sounds perfect; beyond perfect actually, if that’s possible.
“Tomorrow can’t come soon enough,” she says trying to pull me even closer to her warm body. I couldn’t agree more.
*The next day

Liam’s POV

I’m awoken by a soft kiss on my neck. Slowly, I open my eyes and my mind quickly snaps into consciousness and excitement. Today’s the day. Today I marry my everything, Samy.
“You ready for today?” I smile happily at my bride.
“Beyond ready. What time are we going?” She smiles back with enthusiasm.
“About an hour. Better get up and get ready” I say, gently lifting her body up off the bed with mine.
“Ok, I’m going to grab a quick shower, be out in a few” she says before disappearing into the bathroom.
I quickly grab my phone and call Paddy. He was out earlier this morning running two very important errands for me.
“Paddy, she’s in the shower” I say. A knock on the door a few seconds later let’s me know that he has arrived with my surprises. “Thank you so much, Paddy. I truly appreciate it,” I say with a handshake, bro hug thing that we guys do.
“No worries, you nervous?”
“A little. To be honest, I’m more excited than nervous but the nerves are trying to make an appearance” I joke.
“You guys are doing the right thing. I thought you’d have done it ages ago,” he laughs before continuing. “So, when are you going to tell your families and the boys and fans?”
“I hadn’t really thought that far, honestly. I’m still shocked she said yes to eloping” I reply. It’s true. I have no idea how to even go about telling our families. I’m sure it won’t truly surprise them. Two fairly impatient people, in love, who had to cancel their dream wedding eloping is not that out of the norm. Regardless, I know it may hurt our moms that they couldn’t be there. The fans will probably be excited, though I know that some jealousy will occur. The boys, however, will be over the moon. They know we need this. To be official and not have anything standing in our way anymore. Paddy closes the door behind him after wishing me luck.
I hear the bathroom door start to open and I get even more excited to show Samy what I got her.

Samy’s POV

“Liam, have you seen my… what is all this?” I say, stunned. Truly stunned. Tears in my eyes already. Before my eyes is a simple white dress. Casual enough to be a summer dress but nice enough that it could be worn to a nice restaurant as well. Next to the dress are a simple pair of short light silver heels and a gorgeous bouquet of flowers. That’s when I notice the box. A ring box. What did this man do?

“It wouldn’t be a wedding, informal or otherwise without a dress and rings. Do you like it?” I open the ring box and see a gorgeous, simple white gold band with several small diamonds scattered and set within it. It’s amazing and perfect.

“I love it. All of it. And I love you” I say, pulling him into a hug.

“I’m glad, now let me grab a quick shower and we’ll go,” he says before kissing my forehead gently and heading off.

*A few hours later*

Our elopement ceremony was simple and sweet. Paddy and Lou Teasdale were our witnesses. We told each other how much we meant to one another and after saying I do, we returned to the hotel room to be with each other until the show tonight.

“I have a confession,” Liam says, smirking as he rolls over to face me.
“And what confession might that be?” I tease back.
“Remember when El told you that a couple of us boys had secretly twitter stalked you?”
“Yeh…”
“It was me. And Niall, but mostly me” he says, avoiding eye contact. “I loved reading your tweets about the most random stuff, like your cat,” he laughs before I smack him with a pillow. “I saw you go from an angry, controlled wife to a free, fun-loving, carefree person before all of our eyes. It was pretty cool,” he admits. “Hopefully, you remain your fun-loving, carefree self even while being married to me, Mrs. Payne”.
“Say that last part again” I say gleefully.
“Mrs. Payne” he says smiling his beautiful smile.
“I can’t believe you were the one who knew me from my twitter. Why didn’t you tell me before?” I’m truly shocked. Liam was my soul mate all along.
“I didn’t want you to think I was some weird stalker,” he jokes. “So, are you ready to get up and call our families and tell the boys?”
“Absolutely. I’m a little nervous but better to rip the band aid off now so we can really celebrate after the show tonight” I say. Liam pokes me in the side, making me giggle, before grabbing his laptop off the desk across the room. After flopping back down on the bed next to me, he initiates a call with his parents via Skype. It takes only a few seconds before they answer. They miss him so much.
“Hi, Mum and Dad!” Liam says with his sexy accent.
“Hello, Liam love. We miss you, how are you? How’s Samy? Are you enjoying tour? We can’t wait to come see you next month. What’s new?” his mom blurts out in excitement.
“The tour is amazing! Best one yet. Samy and I are both doing great. We actually have something to tell you both.”
“Oh my goodness! Samy’s pregnant, isn’t she?!?” Karen smiles tearfully.
“No, I’m not pregnant,” I smile back. “Liam and I… we um…” I hesitate.
“What happened, dear?” Karen encourages. “Did you two get married?”
“Yes, we did,” I say, not making eye contact. Liam grabs my hand in support, rubbing circles around it gently.
“That’s amazing! I always knew you two wouldn’t last through all these delays without taking matters into your own hands,” Geoff says excitedly. Karen smiles but doesn’t speak. You can see that regardless of how happy she is for us, it hurt her to not be at her only son’s wedding.
“We’re planning to have a ceremony and party for family and friends when we get home, a real wedding,” I explain, hoping to ease some growing tensions.
“That sounds wonderful, dear,” Karen replies, but it lacks her usual over-excitement.
“We love you, mum,” Liam says to her. He’s trying his best to soothe her the only way that he knows how.
“We love you too, Liam,” she says back. “We need to head out soon. Congratulations on the wedding, my dears.” With that, she ends the call. Well, that didn’t go exactly as planned but I suppose it’s better than an explosive reaction. The one that I’m expecting from my parents. We call my parents next. Their reaction is actually a lotbetter. They seem relieved. They’ve never really liked the idea of me traveling around and living with a guy that I’m not married to. They’re looking forward to having a true celebration later as well. Next up, telling the boys… and eventually, the fans. We find them all sitting in Niall’s room eating pizza and watching TV.
“Hey, you two! We’ve been looking for you all day,” Niall says as soon as we enter.
“Yeh, we… needed some private time,” Liam says and I shoot him a look at his choice of words.
“Oh yeh?” Harry winks at us. He’s such a brat sometimes.
“Yeh, we have something big to tell you though,” Liam says, ignoring Harry’s comment altogether. “We got married today. Now before you freak out and get all upset because you didn’t get to be in the wedding, we are having a ceremony and party when the tour ends,” Liam states.
“Holy sh*t,” Zayn says. “This is… not what I expected but I can’t say that I’m not happy. It’s great!”
“I agree! Congrats guys!” Niall runs over and tackles us for a hug.
“Wow. That’s pretty cool. Congratulations you two,” Harry says.
“It’s about damn time!” Louis shouts before jumping on top of Niall in our hug.
“Thanks guys. So, can I ask a question?” I hesistate.
“Sure” Louis says.
“Are we going to tell the fans or wait until the tour is over?” I inquire.
“Tell them now! So many of them love you guys as a couple. Why don’t we tell them at the concert tonight?” Niall says. The others agree and Liam looks to me for confirmation that it’s ok.
“Ok,” I say back. If they want to announce it tonight, who am I to argue?

*Later that night*
“So we have a bit of a special occasion to celebrate tonight and we need your help!” Harry says into the microphone. They concert has been so perfect tonight. I love being able to watch Liam perform. He looks so happy and chill.
“Yep, it’s a very big day for one of us boys. Liam! Come here, mate,” Louis says. Liam walks up to Lou and the rest of the boys.
“Our mate, Liam, got married to his beautiful wife, Samy, this morning! Samy come on up here” Niall shouts.
Before I realize what’s happening, Paul is practically dragging me onto the stage. The crowd erupts into the loudest screams that I’ve ever heard at one of their concerts. The support is overwhelming. The screams are filled with ‘Congratulations’ mixed in. It’s magical. Liam is absolutely glowing with pride and happiness at the reaction of his fans. He reaches into his pocket and grabs his phone before snapping a selfie with the boys and myself, the crowd serving as background. I see him typing something into his phone as Paul and security helps me off the stage and back to my area. A few moments later my phone vibrates. New notification from @Real_Liam_Payne: “(pic): Couldn’t be more proud or happy to announce that Samy and I are officially married! We couldn’t think of a better way to celebrate than with all of you! Big love. Liam”. I read it over and over again before looking at the replies. All positive and excited and happy for us. I decide to tweet for the first time in months “@Soclmediagirl: @Real_Liam_Payne couldn’t be any happier or more excited to spend my life with you. Thanks for the best celebration a wife could ask for. And a special thank you to all you fans for making it perfect!! <3Samy<3”.

@electrichearts

I honestly didn't know what else to write and I needed a co-owner. I still stand by the ending but I think there could have been a lot more to the story if I had had help.

I just spent the last hour and a half reading through all this! You had me hooked. I can't believe it's over :(
