Mafia's Brat ( Harry Styles A.U.)
I woke up to the sound of my front door slamming closed. Instinctively, I got up, grabbed my gun (also known as jewels) and slowly walked to the door. I stopped for a moment, waiting to hear something that might mean I was caught. Nothing. My door was slightly ajar so I nudged it with jewels to open it enough that I could fit through. I slowly made my way down the stairs, stopping every few seconds. Once I got downstairs, I heard footsteps.
I quickly moved behind the nearest wall and lifted Jewels up to my chest. Once I heard footsteps coming my way, I silently counted to three then jumped into the hallway.
There standing in the middle of the hallway, was Zayn. My brother. I sighed in relief then dropped both my arms to the side. Zayn was still clutching his chest and breathing heavily, probably still in shock.
"What the hell Zayn!" I yelled, exasperated. "I could've shot you!" He chuckled.
"I'm sorry, I figured you wouldn't have liked me stomping all over the house at," he paused, looking at the clock. "Two in the bloody morning!" He slurs. Damn you Blake. Why did you let him drink so much?
"Well you still woke me up!" I say, crossing my arms and raising my eyebrows. "Whatever just please next time you go out late and get drunk, just try not to slam the door when you get home?" I said tiredly. It's still late and my sleep was disrupted. The only thing I want to do right now is lay down in my bed and dream.
So I did just that. "Goodnight!" I yelled over my shoulder, not waiting for a reply.
~2:05 P.M. Saturday afternoon~
"Rama! I'm going to be gone for a few days. I'll see you soon. Love you." I ran to my dad and gave him a hug goodbye.
"I'm expecting a present when you're back from wherever." I say playfully. Of course, I know that he is going to be making business with some men in London against his enemy, Des Styles. But my dad doesn't need to know that.
"Can't make any promises. Be good to your mother, you know how she is about these trips." He says while getting into the luxury car waiting for him. He roll down the window and looks at me.
"Can't make any promises" I mock him. He simply rolls his eyes. "Goodbye dear"
"Bye dad. I love you, be safe" I say it in a light-hearted matter, but we both know there's more to it. Even though I don't know everything about his work, I know enough to be worried about him when he goes on these types of trips. He gives me a small smile then rolls up the window. I stood there on the side of the street until the car was finally out of view. The second I couldn't see it anymore, I ran inside.
"Zayn! It's all clear, we can go!" I yell. I quickly pull on my coat and pull my hair up in a pony tail. I turn around once I'm finished and see Zayn speeding down the stairs and doing the exact same thing I did. Minus the hair-tying, of course.
"How long do you think he's going to be gone this time?" He asks as we walk to the front door. I nod in appreciation as he opens the door for me.
"I don't know, probably a few days." I say, walking to Zayn's car and climbing in. "But I know I'm going to be taking full advantage of it."
Our dad highly disapproves of us training with guns and fighting. So, whenever dad leaves, we go and practice everything we can, whenever we can. We have our own trainer, Trevor, who makes sure no one knows our identity. You never know when you'll need to defend yourself, especially with our father's enemies.
We sat in the car silently for 10 minutes until I remembered something.
"Zayn! What about mom!" I can't believe I forgot about her. She would definitely tell dad where we've gone if she finds out.
"Relax, Rama. She left for a Spa vacation this morning," Zayn chuckled.
I sighed in relief and clutched my chest. "Phew, that would've been a tough one to get out of."
Zayn completely ignored me and continued driving. That bastard.
~2:42 P.M. Saturday afternoon~
After about 25 minutes, we finally arrived at Trevor's house. Or as I like to call it, The Dome. His house was a normal-looking house. Two storys, one bedroom, and a garden in the front. The outside doesn't do his home justice. Trevor has an underground training center that is shaped into a huge dome, almost 5x the size of the house on normal ground. The Dome is filled with a shooting range, a place for boxing, karate, weights, basically anything you could think of in that category.
Once we got out of the car, we saw Trevor already waiting for us outside his door. Once we walked over to him he spoke.
"Haven't seen you kids for a while. I was starting to get worried." He says playfully, patting us on the backs.
"Well come on in kids, it's time to train."
