Just a Kiss

“So dish” Addison exclaims as we sit down onto her couch. I had driven straight from the park to her house after we had our conversation on the phone about Niall. Niall. I can’t get him out of my head. His laugh. His smile. His eyes. His everything. I can’t believe I met him, the man of my dreams. If only he knew.
“Well, I went to the park to enjoy this wonderful weather today. I sat down on a park bench and all of a sudden a soccer ball was rolling towards me from a group of guys.”
“Hold up! So the other boys were there?”
“Let me finish my story Addison!” I cry. For the rest of the story Addison sits there, on the couch quietly with a huge smile. When I finish she lets out a loud squeal. The looks at me with a look of awe.
“Wait! You said he texted you right?”
I nodded in response.
“Omg!! What did he say?”
“Um, I don’t know I haven’t checked it yet.” I replied, a little embarrassed
“Omg! Open it, let’s see!”
I pull my phone out of my bag. And unlock it to Niall’s face. How embarrassing would it be if he asked for my phone to put his info in? I would just about die! I went to the text message from the unknown number.
Unknown Number: Hey beautiful! It’s Niall!
“Omg!! Addison!! He called me beautiful!” I scream.
“Omg!! I know!!” She screams back. Then, her eyes get really wide.
“What?” I question.
“What are you going to say back?”
“Hmm…how about this?” I ask her as I type a reply.
Me: Hey handsome :)
“Omg yes! Send it!”
I quickly press send before I can think twice, then put Niall into my contacts. I turn to face Addison.
“I can’t believe this is happening.” I say smiling until my cheeks hurt.
“I know right! Omg Leighton! You should’ve asked me to go to the park with you then I could’ve met them in person too!”
“I’m sorry I didn’t bring you, but what if I had and then we didn’t meet them. Plus I’m bringing you with me when I show them around town!”
“That’s true, you are honestly the bestest friend I could ever have.” She says smiling at me.
“You’re the bestest friend I could ever have too, even though bestest isn’t a word.” I reply laughing and giving her a tight hug.
Out of the corner of my eye, I see my phone light up. I pick it up to see who it is. It’s Niall. My smile grows.
“Did he respond?” questions Addison, even though she can probably tell from my face. I nod.
“Well, what did he say?”
I move so she can read the text message with me.
Niall: So I’m wondering if you know any good places to eat around here. The lads and I need some place to eat dinner and we don’t know where to go. Would you like to join us and help us find a place with good food?
I look at Addison before typing a reply.
Me: I would love to. Just tell me the time and where to meet you. Also, would it be ok if I brought a friend?
It doesn’t take long for Niall to respond.
Niall: We are renting out a house. The address is 1458 Cherry Tree Lane. Can you be here by 6? Of course you can bring a friend!
Me: That’s just a block away from my house! And of course! See you then :)
I turn to look at Addison.
“We are going to diner with One Direction!!” I scream.

“Do I look ok?” I ask Addison as I examine myself one last time in the mirror. I am wearing this http://www.polyvore.com/cgi/set?id=126097830. My hair is done in soft curls. My lips are painted a light pink color and my eye shadow is smoky.
“You look amazing. Now how do I look? I have to look my best for Liam.” Addison replies.
“You look gorgeous.” I say turning away from the mirror and grabbing my purse. “Now we better go its 5:50. We don’t want to be late.”
Addison and I make our way to my car. As I climb into the driver’s seat I text Niall.
Me: On our way! :)
I locked my phone then thought twice about putting it away. My lock screen and background is still Niall. I don’t want to freak him out with that. I quickly change them both to pictures of Addison and I. There now I don’t look like a crazy stalker fan. I started the car and pulled out of the driveway, closing my garage behind me. Cherry Tree Lane is just 5 minutes from my house, but this drive felt like forever. I am going to dinner with One Direction! I still can’t believe it! I turned onto the street and started searching for the correct house. Then, I see it on my right 1458 Cherry Tree Lane. I slowly pull into the driveway, take a deep breath, and turn off my car. I climb out of my car and walk up to the front door with Addison close behind me. My heart is pounding. Don’t freak out Leighton. Stay calm like at the park. We reach the front door and before I can ring the bell, it swings open. Standing there in the entryway with a huge smile on his face is Niall.
“Leighton!” He greets me. Omg! The way he says my name. Sigh.
“Hey Niall! This is my best friend Addison.” I say pointing to Addison who is standing behind me in shock.
“Hi Addison! Come on in! The lads are finishing up getting ready.” Niall says moving out of the way to let us into the house.
“So where are we going to dinner?” He asks me as he leads the way to what seems like a living room.
“Well, I was thinking of going to this place called tsunami. It’s a hibachi restaurant and they have great food.” I reply while sitting next to him on the couch. I look at Addison who, took a seat in a chair, she still seems a bit dazed. I chuckle a little bit at her.
“What’s so funny?” Niall questions, looking at me quizzically. Oh how cute he looks when he does that.
“Well, Addison and I are actually huge fans of One Direction. I didn’t tell you at the park because I guess it never came up, but she’s just in shock and it’s kind of hilarious. You aren’t mad at me for not telling you I am a fan are you?”
“No I’m not mad at all. I’m glad you are a fan. I love my fans. I’m glad you didn’t scream in my face like some of them.” Niall replies chuckling.
“I’m surprised she didn’t scream in your face.” Addison suddenly says with a smile.
“Wow thanks Addison.” I say sticking my tongue out at her. Suddenly, I feel a pair of eyes on me. I turn to see Niall staring at me.
“What? Do I have something on my face?” I ask worried.
“No, it’s that you’re just so beautiful.” He replies smiling softly at me. I look down at my hands my face turning beet red.
“Thanks.” I respond.
“I’m going to go see what’s taking the lads so long. I’ll be right back ladies.” Niall states standing up heading towards the stairs. We both watch Niall rush up the stairs. I turn to Addison and open my mouth to say something but close it when I hear loud bangs coming from upstairs. Suddenly I begin to hear loud shouts. I can’t make out what they are saying but they are definitely heading downstairs. All of a sudden a head full of curls peeks their heads out around the corner on the stairs. Harry Styles.
“So Niall wasn’t lying when he said two gorgeous girls are sitting down here waiting for us.” He drawls.
Addison and I glanced at each other and smiled.
“He said that now did he?” I ask
“I did say that because both of you are beautiful ladies.” Niall calls out as he comes down the stairs. I turn to see him and see he is followed by Louis, Zayn, and then Liam. I turn to look at Addison. As she sees them come down the stairs. Her face is bright red and she looks a bit shocked.
“Lads this is Leighton and Addison.” Niall tells everyone point to each of us as he says our names.
“It’s nice to meet you all.” I say standing up from the couch.
“Yeah, it’s nice to meet you.” I hear Addison speak up.
”Ok, well we better get going.” I tell everyone and begin walking to the door. I look back and everyone if following me. I get to my car and unlock it, climbing into the driver’s seat. I turn to see Niall climbing into the passenger seat and I can’t help but smile as I see this. I turn around and see Zayn, Louis, and Harry in the back row and Liam and Addison sitting in the middle row. Omg! Liam and Addison!
“Ok let’s get this show on the road!” I say excitedly as I pull out of the driveway and begin my drive to the restaurant.
