Chasing the Clouds

Lannie's P.O.V.
"Lannie!?!" El snaped me out of my thoughts. "A date? With a guy you just met yesterday? What if he hurts you? Or takes your money? Elisabeth, you should have thought this through." I say knowing she won't listen, but a girls gotta try right? She rolled her eyes," Lannie, it's one date! He didn't ask me to be his girlfriend. He would have to be crazy to do that." She mumbled the last part thinking i couldn't hear her, i decided to act like i didn't. "Fine, but, he has to pick you up here." I said sternly. "Okay" she agrees. After all she's been through, she's fragile. I don't want to see her broken again. I won't let it happen.

Elisabeth's P.O.V.

"Okay" i agree. I appreciate Lannie's concern, i really do, but seriously? She thinks what i've been through makes me weak, it doesn't, it made me strong.

"Lannie!" I screamed. "What?" She asks coming in with her mouth full of food. "Which I ask. She shakes her head at me and starts looking at all the options. "This one." She says holding up the black dress with the lace back. "Ok" i say throwing on. "Now for my hair." I start walking into the bathroom, i curl my hair while Lannie does my make-up. In the end i look amazing! "Thank you Lannie!" I shout hugging her. "Your welcome" she says laughing at my reaction. I jumpat the sound of the door bell ringing. "I'll get it" Lannie jumps up to get the door."Don't scare him! " i call after her.I take one more lookin the mirror, i'm going on a date with Liam Payne.

Liam's P.O.V.

I stand on the porch, rocking on my heels. The door swing open to show a girl i've never seen before. "Hi, i'm Liam." "I know, El won't stop talking about you." I knew i was blushing but i didn't care. "I'm Lannie, El's best friend." She says "Well its-" i was cut off by Lannie " Look, El's been through a lot in her life and i'm not going to let her be broken again. If you don't treat her like a princess, i will hunt you down and make sure you pay. Understand?" " Yes, 100%" i say actually fearing for my life. " Lannie, are you scaring my date?" Oh even just her voice makes my heart melt. She emerged from the shadows looking drop dead gorgeous. "Scaring him? Never." Lannie said unconvincingly. Elisabeth giggled at her words. Oh her giggle can make your heart beat out of your chest. "Hi" she said turning to me."H-hi" i stuttered, why am i so nervous? "These are for you" i say holding out the yellow daisys i got her. "Awww, thanks Liam." She said giving me a hug, which i gladly returned. She handed the flowers to Lannie, "Can you put these in water for me?" "Ya, have fun you two." "Ok see you later." With that i lead El to my car and Lannie closed the door."Did she scare you?" She asked with most concerned, caring look on her face. "No, no. She was looking oit for you and i get that." Is aid with gently stroking her arms. "Ok" she said flashing me her smile, i honestly thought my knees would give out on my right there. This is going to be a night to remember forever.
