Give me love like this

We are finally going to be leaving for California. I havent seen Codi since Brazil. He dad had a massive heart attack and had ended up being in the hospital for a week. Shortly after with his low immune system he ended up contracting pneumonia. Since Codi's mom didn't have enough days off saved up because they went to Brazil for three weeks, Codi and Maggie took turns being with and taking care of their dad. I would have had free time in July but we had already set that time to record our fourth album and couldn't reschedule and Codi was already committed to teaching summer school in July. I haven't seen her in 116 days, and yes, I've kept a count.

We just did a show in Chicago and we have two weeks off until our next show in Pasadena. Zayn, Loius, and Niall were going back to London but Harry and I were off to LA. Well, Harry was flying to NYC to help write some songs first and I was itching to see Codi. We were both going stir crazy.

I wanted to leave right after the show but for some reason I couldn't get a direct flight from Chicago to LA so I had to stay the night and I left for the airport at 4 am, my flight was leaving at 6:15. Its a little over a four hour flight and with the time difference I'll be landing a little before 9 am Codi time. She has already planned on meeting me at the airport and from her texting all night, I think she's just as excited to see me as I am to see her.

Thankfully since I left so early in the morning not a lot of people have noticed me, I got a few people that have asked me for pictures and to follow them on twitter. On the plane I was seated next to an elderly man who had no idea who I was so I could finally rest.

I was nudged awake by the gentleman sitting next to me who informed me that our flight was just about to land. I can't believe I even fell asleep, for some reason my stomach has been in knots since last night, I've been so anxious to see her. I finally made it past the crowd leaving the plane and gate and making my way down to baggage claim where Codi was waiting.

I fight the crowd to get to the escalators, it's not even 9 am here and the airport is already busy. And for it being a Sunday, that doesn't help. I finally see her and start laughing. At the bottom of the escalators she's holding a sign that reads, “Eagle Eye” with a giant smile plastered on her lips as she sees me.

“LIAM!” She yells as she drops the sign and takes off and jumps on me, wrapping her legs around my waist. “I've missed you.” She tells me as she plants kisses all over my neck and jaw line. I let go of her legs as she hops down but doesn't let go of the back of my neck. I lean down and out lips finally connect after too much time has passed. Everything else, all the noise, all the waiting time to see her just goes away as we move together. She rakes her short nails at the base of my hair pushing me closer.

“Get a room!” We hear someone yell at us as we stop abruptly and laugh.

“Come on, lets get your bags!” She laces her hand with mine and pulls me towards the baggage claim that is already shooting out bags from our flight. I see the older gentleman I sat next to on the plane waiting close by.

“That the girl you've been waiting for?” He nudges me.

“Yes sir, I've waited quite a long time to see her.” I tell him as Codi smiles and squeezes my hand pretending she can't hear us.

“Well, she's quite beautiful, I'd keep her close from now on.” He smiles at me and pats my back.

“I plan on it, Enjoy LA.”

“You too, that's my bag, see you around English boy.” And with that he walked off.

“Well that was weird.” Codi says as we walk closer to baggage claim.

“I say next to him on the plane, I slept for three hours but we talked for the first hour, he seems like a nice guy, visiting his granddaughter out here.” I explain as I grab two of my bags.

“How many bags did you bring?” She asks shocked at the sight of my first large bag.

“Well we're continuing the tour after this so I brought as much as I could with me. We've been on the road for a month!” I try to defend myself.

“Ah yes, and I forget, the famous Liam Payne can't do laundry. Or wear the same thing twice.” She's always one for teasing. “Tell you what, while you're here, I'll even wash some of your clothes, make you live a normal life again.” Always smiling.

We arrive back at her house and I notice Jai's jeep isn't there.

“Jai at surf lessons?” I ask as I roll my bags along the drive to the door.

“Oh no, I forgot to tell you I guess, Jai is in Brazil, surf competition. So whole house to ourselves.” She winks at me. “We can do whatever we want.”

“Whatever we want huh?"

“Yep! Like eat ice cream in the living room, jump on Jai's bed, not sweep the floors for a week, have a water fight. You know that kind of stuff.” She replies to my question not exactly how I would have liked.

“Oh, right, that kind of stuff.”

“Why Liam James Payne. What kind of stuff are you talking about? Because if you're talking about walking around naked, showering together, and having sex in ever room in the house, that would be my plan even if Jai wasn't gone.” She winks at me.

My mouth drops open. God how I've missed Codi.

“You'd better close that mouth mister, I'm going to need it for other things later.”

This Codi is a little different from Brazil and Aruba. I like it.
