Liam's POV

I have her back, almost.

In my opinion, we had the best show ever. I couldn't stop smiling. Harry pretty much took his pants off to show everyone his new tattoo. I thought the crowd was going to get a different kind of show for a minute there.

We fight the crowds in the vans to get back to the hotel. I can't wait to see Codi again. I hope she's already back, and still awake. It's just past 11 at night when we arrive back at the hotel, I pull my phone out and find Codi's name to text her.

“What are you doing Liam?” Niall asks from behind me.

“I'm texting Codi. I want to see if she's still awake. I won't be able to sleep anyway.” I say over my shoulder.

“I like her. How serious is her sister with her boyfriend?” He asks with a laugh.

“Well, Codi refereed to him as her brother in law today, so I'd say pretty serious.” I smile.

“Well, shit. Out again. She's gorgeous too. Lucky bastard.” Niall is hilarious at times.

“Sorry mate. Better luck next time.” I say as I start to text her.

“She coming to the party?” Harry asks, who is also in the backseat.

Can't catch a break to text her!

“I don't know, we haven't talked about it. She'll be hanging out with her family most of the time, that's the whole reason why she's down here. It's not really for me.” I add that last part.

“But she is an added bonus right? All work and no play makes Liam a dull boy.” Niall laughs and his laugh makes everyone laugh.

“Okay, okay, okay. I'm extremely excited she's here. Now will you two please shut up so I can concentrate and text her.” I look at them almost like a teacher looks at their students when they're in trouble.

And once again start to text Codi.

“Hey, just getting back to the hotel, you back yet?” I ask, silently cross my fingers that she is.

It only takes a minute before she texts back.

“Eagle! Yes, Maggie, Michael, and I are taking a taxi back right now. I should be there in about 10 minutes.”

Ah, my “famous” nickname has come into play again, I'm glad she's using it. As much as I didn't like it before, I love that shes using it again.

“I'll wait for you in the lobby.” I text back, I can't wipe this smile off my face. I'm sure you can see it in the dark.

I can hear her laughing before I can see her. Her laugh makes me smile. My security guard pokes me in the side and starts laughing at my expense. I don't even care, I'm seeing Codi. My Codi. Well, I want her to be my Codi. We haven't figured that out yet.

“Leeee-yummmmmm!” I hear Maggie yell, I'm pretty sure she's drunk. I love drunk Maggie.

“Hi Maggie.” I say as she runs over to me and gives me a big hug.

“Liam! Meet Michael, I love him. He's fantastic.” She rambles. I stick my hand out towards
Michael who shakes it.

“Hi Michael, I've heard lots about you.” I say a little nervous, he's quite large.

“Ah, its Liam, the famous Liam. I've heard lots about you too, good at first, then bad, now good again.” He laughs. “Now, if you'll excuse us, I have to take my intoxicated girlfriend to our room. Before she wakes up the whole hotel.” Maggie starts giggling like a school girl.

“Codddddiiiiiii! Liam is here, quit asking for extra towels and kiss him!” Maggie yells across the lobby, various people start laughing. I see Codi's face turn red.

“And that is our cue to leave.” Michael starts laughing as he pulls Maggie's hand to lead her to the elevator wing.

I see Codi come over with a toothbrush and a big smile on her face.

“And that is what happens when my sister drinks. As per usual.” She says with a laugh.

“Have you had anything to drink?” I ponder out loud.

“Just some homemade wine, but only two glasses, not as many as my sister had. I forgot my toothbrush at home.” She explains as she holds her brush in the air.

“Ah yes, well can't kiss you with nasty breath.” I comment.

“Kiss huh? High expectations for two friends who just stated to be friends again wouldn't you say?” She joked. “Come on, lets go.” She whispers as she pulls my hand and laces her fingers with mine walking me towards the elevators. She looks back at me and whips her hair around to shake it out of her face, her smile and teeth are just perfect.

We make our way to her room as my security guard tells me he'll wait outside. Codi swipes the
door key and shoves the door open.

“Welcome to my humble establishment.” She puts her hands in the air and spins around. She might have had more to drink then she remembers drinking.

She throws herself on one of the beds and starts giggling. Okay, had way more then two drinks, I'm sure of it.

“Liam.” She says, still giggling. “Why are you way over there?” She asks, her whole face lit up.

“I just thought we could hang out.” I explain. I don't want to take advantage of her in this state, or have us do something we'll regret later.

“Can you at least sit next to me?” She asks as her bottom lip pouts out. Obviously I can't resist that.

We talk for a while. A long time actually, about her classroom, the tour, the boys, my family, her family, her life in California, my life in London, it's refreshing. She's refreshing. And I can tell she's sobering up. She glances over at the clock.

“Shit. It's 2 am Liam.” She yawned.

“Yeah, I should get back to my room, you should get some sleep.” I say as I start getting off the bed.

“Stay with me.” She pleads as she grabs my hand. She looks so innocent in this light.

“I really want to Codi, believe me I do, but I-I can't. Not tonight. We have radio stuff way early in the morning and Paul will flip if I'm late.” I can see the hurt and disappointment in her eyes as she shifts her face down. I don't want to hurt her feelings but it seems as though I already have.

“Well, you at least tuck me in?” She looks up at me and smiles, an extreme over obnoxious smile that I can't resist.

“Of course love. Go get ready for bed and I'll wait here.” She jumps off the bed and rushes to the bathroom. I can hear the sink running for a little bit as I'm assuming she washes her face and brushes her teeth. The door shuts momentarily and she emerges in spandex shorts and a tight orange tank top. I'm sure my eyes are massive right now.

“Like what you see Liam?' She spins and makes her way towards me.

“Um yes. Yes I do. But that's not going to make me stay tonight. I'm sorry love. Get into bed.” I pull back the covers and pat the bed as Codi literally jumps in. I flip the covers back over her and sit on the bed next to her.

“Good night Codi. Thank you for letting us start over.” I say, I'm extremely grateful for her decision.

“I need a good night kiss before I go to sleep Liam.” She says as she lets out a massive yawn.

I slowly make my way down to her as she quickly wraps her arms around my neck and pulls me quickly, our lips crash together. She tastes just like I remember. Her sweet chap stick drawls me in as her arms keep me in place. She tilts her head and I take the opportunity to push my tongue in to see if I remember exploring her mouth a year ago. God, she's a good kisser. We part for a second for me to only hear her moan my name. It sends shivers down me as I quickly need another kiss to tie me over for the night. This time we are more feverish as we devour each other.

A knock at the door stops us. Probably a good thing. I didn't know where it was going but I didn't bring anything with me if you know what I mean.

“That's my security guard. I'd better get going.” It was almost 2:30, he was probably just as tired as I was, and we had to be at the radio station in four and a half hours.

“Ok, see you tomorrow.” She smiles as she grabs a hair off my shirt and lets it drop on the ground.

“Good night Codi.” I whisper as I kiss her cheek, the other cheek, and her forehead.

“Good night baby eagle.” She giggles. I kiss her one last time as I get up and make my way towards the door. So now it's baby eagle...

“Liam.” She mutters just loud enough so I can hear her.

“Yes love?” I say over my shoulder.

“Don't forget to turn the lights off.” Codi commands to me as she turns over to her side and closes her eyes.

Soon.

Soon I will be wrapping my arms around her and falling asleep with her every night. I couldn't wait.

Exciting news, I've thought of a new idea for a story, currently in the works to write it! But I won't post it till I have quite a few chapters written and this story is finished.

So what do you think?? Finally excited that Codi and Liam are talking and being nice towards each other? Any predictions as to what's going to happen?
