Give me love like this

It's been four months since I've last seem Liam. We've talked everyday as promised. Either FaceTime, Skype, texting, or just plain old calling, we've made time for each other. We even tweet back and forth, he mentioned me on graduation with a picture Maggie had sent to him. I was trending for hours with something he started, #CongratsCodi. It was sweet.

But my worst fear has come true.

In just a few months since we last saw each other, and just a few months from when Liam wrote me that amazing letter I'm never far apart from, Liam has started hanging out with another girl, a girl from his hometown, Sophia Smith. I was heartbroken but kept it a secret, I guess I thought we'd work out eventually. But I guess now I'll never know. He told me it was too hard to be away from me and he needs someone, told me he's known Sophia for a long time and he just had to see how things turned out. Obviously he doesn't think of us like he did when we were in Aruba. We still talked but we didn't talk when she was around, from the sounds of how Liam talked to me about her, I wasn't a huge fan but in all honesty I don't think I'd be a fan of anyone he dated, unless it was me of course.

I had just gotten off the phone, my dream was semi coming true. I had applied for a job teaching World Civilizations out in LA, and been accepted for an interview. I couldn't wait to tell Liam. I had plans to move in with my uncle Jai, since he was going through a separation he didn't want to get rid of his house but couldn't afford it on what he makes alone so if I moved out there I'd get to live in a house a few block from the beach. I couldn't help but get my hopes up.

“Hey Eagle eye, you free for a chat quick?” I text Liam, it was about three in the afternoon there so I know he'd answer eventually, he was always busy doing this and that so I couldn't always get a response from him right away. Besides Maggie, Liam really is my best friend.

It took a while but I got a response I wasn't expecting.

“Hey, sorry, I'm busy right now, with Sophia. We've been talking, and she's really uncomfortable with our relationship, I don't think we should talk anymore.” I dropped my phone. We shouldn't talk anymore? What? I pick my phone up fast and quickly reply.

“What do you mean Liam?” I'm literally shaking as I type it. Thank goodness for auto correct or it would not have turned out like that.

“She's just uncomfortable about our relationship, and she's my girlfriend now. I need to focus on her more, and less on you, I think we should just have a clean break. I glad we were friends for a while though.” He responds.

She's his girlfriend now? Just last week they were only hanging out. Its like he doesn't even care. Obviously I didn't mean anything to him for him to just end our friendship like this. I'm so upset and angry. Furious for that matter.

“I get it.” I respond short but I really don't care.

“Just don't be mad at her. This was my decision. We're better off without you.” I was beyond furious now. Who is this man and what did he do with my best friend, a man who always had time for me was suddenly dropping me? A man who almost always called me or text me first. Asshole. I'm done. This friendship is over, I want nothing to do with him ever.

“I don't want to be friends with you. Quit texting me.” I quickly type out and throw my phone in my bag and fight back tears. My best friend and I are no more.

After I got home and talked to Maggie, she's so upset she wanted to call Liam up and bitch him out but I told her no. I just wanted a break from it all. I had gotten on twitter and saw that he unfollowed me, and apparently blocked me. I can't see anything from him. I don't want to see anything any more. Apparently our friendship was a waste of time. Apparently it meant more to me then it ever did to him. But I do notice that fans have already noticed. I was trending, again. #Lidiforever. That was our “ship” name apparently, “Lidi”, I always had people DM'ing me about how they wanted us to be together, but we were just friends. Apparently I had a false idea of what I thought Liam and I had, we were just friends until something “better” came along.

After a few days, I couldn't take it anymore, I deleted my twitter account, people were constantly blowing me up asking me questions. I flew out to LA to live with my Uncle Jai, took that job teaching and never looked back.
