Do You Love Me?
Chapter 6
Kalia's POV
*BEEP BEEP BEEP*
As I roll onto my side and look up at my flat's white ceiling I think about the events.
I met One Direction, the biggest boy band around.
Niall asked me out, I turned him down.
Jasmine went all fan girly on me. I couldn't get her back to normal.
Alyssa now thinks Liam's a wacko. I have to concur with her.
El, well, she thinks we're all mad. I must say, it's quite possible that she's right.
I sigh and throw myself from the bed, knocking the lamp over in the process. It smashes into just about a million pieces and I groan. I have to get to work on time or risk being fired because I've already been warned about tardiness once. And my family will not be happy if I lose the only job that's getting me through college. Well, that and my family's excessive amount of money.
My mum is really strict when it comes to this sort of thing. She won't stand for anything that reflects badly on her because she's the top lawyer in the country and that means many people know her and our family. Sometimes I just wish she would just listen to me and understand me. She never has time ever since she married my stupid step father Landon. I'm pretty confident he's only with my mum for her money. At least I have my brother Kaden to vent to, even though he loves Landon.
But I'm not going to get annoyed at eight o'clock in the morning over someone who isn't even here. I grab my work clothes from where I chucked them a few days ago and go to the bathroom. I brush my teeth and comb my hair, putting it up into a high pony tail. Then I head out of the door and down to the busy streets.
The bakery where I work is just up the street which is just as well because I don't own a car. Our name isn't very imaginative it's just 'The Bakery' and it's situated on Fairfield road, a few streets away from my flat. It's just me and Avery that work there because it's only a small family business. Avery and I are practically sisters but she's not in today because today's her day off. I wish she was here because I'm always snowed under with work every time she's not in.
I push open the carved, oak door and step into the shop. The little bell chimes above me as I walk into the aromatic scent of baking bread. I can't help but creep into the preparation room at the back of the shop. I shut my eyes and hurry in, sniffing the air.
"Hey Angy! Something smells good!"
Then I open them.
What. The. Hell.
Notes
Sorry for the short chapter guys and sorry for taking such a long time! I suddenly realised that I started writing something TOTALLY different without even realising it! I am so dumb! Well, hope you like this chapter as much as my R.S teacher likes potatoes!
