Indie's POV

I could hear talking but couldn't see anything. It was just me in a big, empty, white room, was this possible? How come I could hear but not see? This can't be normal, can it? 'How is she?' I heard someone say softly, I recognise the voice but don't know who it is, 'Are you a relative?' I heard this voice daily, or is it hourly? I'm really confused right now. 'No, I'm her err, friend, b-boyfriend actually' my boyfriend? I have a boyfriend! How come I couldn't remember him? Or know his name, or his face? My head is starting to hurt. 'Sorry, I'm not aloud to tell you anything only family, your not family, all I can tell you is that she is recovering well,' I'm recovering well? What happened to me? 'Can I sit with her?' this gentle voice said, 'Sure, she may me able to hear you, within the circumstances, if she wakes press the red button on her bed, I'll be back in a couple of minutes then you have to leave.' Okay, than you!' he said while grabbing my hand.

'India? Can you hear me?' he said, I wanted to say yes and look at him, find out who he was, but I simply couldn't, this is not right. 'I think you can hear me, Indie I just want you to know that I'm sorry for what happened back at school, I didn't mean for any of this to happen, please if you hear me, squeeze my hand please India, I won't be able to go on without you, I won't be able to cope with the last words that were said between us, I'll give up on everything just for you. Please come back!'

Unknown POV

'I think you can hear me, Indie I just want you to know that I'm sorry for what happened back at school, I didn't mean for any of this to happen, please if you hear me, squeeze my hand please India, I won't be able to go on without you, I won't be able to cope with the last words that were said between us, I'll give up on everything just for you. Please come back!' as I spoke to her hoping she could hear. I felt so guilty, it felt like she was in here because of me, because I had started the whole thing, I needed to leave. Just as I was about to let go, I felt a soft movement in my hand trying to squeeze it, she heard me, she heard what I just said, she was alright she was going to be fine! She then fluttered her eyes open and closed like she was getting used to blinking, I would have given anything just to see her beautiful blue eyes again, but I didn't. I quickly pressed the big red button, laying there on her bed. As soon as I pressed the button the doctor came rushing in. 'What happened?' he asked, 'She tried to squeeze my hand and has been opening and closing her eyes' I said quickly as a feeling of relief flowed through my body. 'Thank you but I need you to step outside for now' I stepped outside and slide down the side of the wall, with the biggest smile I could have, just then a tear rolled down the side of my cheek, a happy tear. I was so happy she could hear me, that she woke up with me beside her, I couldn't believe it. She was up, she wasn't hurt, she was normal.

Indie's POV

I opened my eyes slowly and didn't really know what to do. I was lying in what it seemed to be a hospital room, their was a boy sitting holding my hand I didn't know who he was. I guess he was the boy that was talking, so he must be my boyfriend. I really didn't have a clue on what I was doing here or why. So I just layed there blinking, it felt like it was the only thing I could do. What was I meant to do? As soon as I was about to speak a doctor came rushing in 'What happened?' he asked, 'She tried to squeeze my hand and has been opening and closing her eyes' the boy said explaining quickly 'Thank you but I need you to step outside for now' the boy stepped out of the room. 'Hello their,' he said, 'H-h-hello' I said stuttering, 'Good you can talk' he said cheerfully, 'I guess so, can I ask you a question?' 'Of course, ask away' I smiled, 'What happened? Why am I here? How come I can't remember anything?' I asked, he looked shocked as I was curious. 'You don't remember?' he questioned, 'No, not anything' 'Okay, before I tell you anything, tell me this, do you know your full name?' 'Yes, my name is India Kate Allen' I thought it was a pretty obvious question. 'Good, now tell me about yourself and your family.' 'Okay, well I'm 17 years old I attend Armagh High School, I'm in lower 6th, my natural hair colour is brown, my best friends are Maggie, Jemma and Lily. I have a brother and a sister called Nathan and Lauren, their Twins and are 19, I live with them.' 'Very good, what about your parents?' Did I not say anything about them? 'My parents, em, will, they, um, haven't been here since I was 6 they...' I started as I teared up a little, he noticed this and cut me off, 'I see you remember quite a lot, just not recent activities' I guess he was right, I mean he is a doctor, right?

'So what happened?' I asked lowly, I was pleased he heard me. 'Well, at school the fire bell went off and you went into shock and fell. I think you hit your head from what I can see as you've lost recent memories although no one has mentioned if you did or not, this is purely a guess about you hitting your head. From what I've been told the boy that was in here a few moments ago seen you on the floor and carried you out of the building, he must really care for you as the room was filled with smoke and everyone else had left. He risked his own life to save yours. When you both reached the outside of the school everyone crowded around you and you were taken here in the ambulance.' I couldn't speak, I tried but just a o shape formed from my mouth. When I regained the strength to talk I asked, 'How long?' he gave me a confused look, 'How long have I been here?' he nodded his head and said, 'About 3 days, you have been in a coma and the boy has came day after day just to see and talk to you, he really cares. Do you remember him?' 'No I don't but I recognise him and his voice seems familiar.' He nodded again, 'would you like to speak to him?' he asked and I nodded. The doctor went out of the room to find the boy.

The boy walked in and sat on the chair beside me, he took my and but before he could get a grip on it I slipped it out into my other hand. 'Indie, I'm so glad your okay! I can't believe I nearly lost you!' he said, his voice gave me chills but I don't know why. 'Who are you?' I asked, 'the doctor told me you lost your short term memory..' he started before I cut him off, 'Are you the one who talked to me and told the doctor you're my boyfriend?' 'Yes I am' he said, 'You could hear us talking?' he asked. 'Yeah, but I didn't know who you were or where I was, I was in a meadow, then a white room, now I'm here. So are you my boyfriend?' I asked not knowing what the answer could be. 'No, not exactly' 'why did you say you were then to my doctor?' I started to feel the tears build up in my eyes but holding them back. 'I thought they would tell me more, but they wouldn't I needed the reassurance that you would be okay.' 'I'm sorry for the stress I've clearly been causing you but do you know if I have a boyfriend?.' 'No, don't worry and yeah you do he's called Jamie, I just wanted to make sure you were okay and safe.' 'Thank you for saving me and telling me the truth, you're like my knight in shining armour...sorry what's your name again?' I felt really bad I didn't remember his name, it was awful! 'Oh I forgot that you don't know anymore, it's Zayn, Zayn Malik.' 'Such an awesome name!' I said trying to break the awkwardness between us. 'Thanks Indie! But yours is far better!' he said smiling almost blushing. 'Thank you Zayn, how do we know each other?' I needed to know to make sure he wasn't a stalker. 'We go to the same school, but I'm in upper 6th, do you remember about the panto?' The panto? I tried to remember I couldn't though I was just about to say no then I remember auditioning that was it. 'I remember auditioning and walking into you that's all, Zayn I remember you!' 'That's amazing Indie, anything else?' 'No, not really, I'm sure I will though within time of course. Did I get a part?' I asked so curious I hope I did! 'Yes, yes you did we both did, but I'll tell you more tomorrow or when you get back to school, I have to go. Home the boys will be worried on where I am, see yah later Indie!' he said walking out waving at me before walking back in and kissing me on the forehead. 'Bye Zayn!' I said hugging him. Then he left me all alone in that boring, dull room. I hated hospitals always had, ever since my parents well...No not going into it. I was going home the next day the doctors just wanted to keep a check on me. I hope Lauren will let me go back to school as soon as possible, I need to find out more of what happened, I need to regain my memory.
