Indie's POV

Everything seemed perfect, I was in a meadow, full of freshly bloomed flowers, they smelled amazing. They looked it too, why? Was I missing something? No, everyone I loved was here, Mum, Dad, Nathan, Lauren, Zayn. Wait! Zayn? Why isn't it Jamie? This can't be real, I don't love Zayn right now he was the last person I even liked never mind loved! Something was definitely wrong, this couldn't be right, it can't be, how could it be? I need something, someone something feels wrong. I don't know why or what it's just a feeling I have right now. Is this normal? The meadow is so beautiful and colourful, then the big tree in the middle is amazing, it seems so surreal like what it looks like in a movie. I honestly couldn't imagine anything better myself. But how did I get here? How was everyone here? I ran over to Mum and tried to talk, 'Mum, how did we get here?' no answer, 'Mum, Mum?' why wasn't she responding? How come she wasn't talking to me? I didn't think she would even regonise me, so I guess I'm going to ask Nathan and Lauren, Dad won't know me, same as mum. 'Nathan, Lauren? Can you explain how we got here?' no answer again they just turned facing their backs to me and talking to each other, what is happening, they don't hear me and it's like they can't see me either but I can see and hear them what's going on? It felt like their was a one sided piece of glass. I could see and hear them but they can't see or hear me. 'Why? Why me? What's happening? This can't be a joke my parents they're here, if it was a joke they wouldn't be,' would they?

'India?' I knew exactly who's voice it was, 'Zayn? Is that really you?' 'Yes it's me Indie, but I'm a figure of your imagination we all are' he explained. 'What how can you be? You're real! Wait! How can you hear me?' I questioned, 'India, I can hear you because I'm the one you truly love with all your heart, we connect your sub-conscience will only let you hear me because of it, you're parents, you're brother and sister yes you love them, but they can't hear you as you won't let yourself hear them, you're parents won't speak at all to anyone but each other, but even still you won't hear them like you hear Nathan and Lauren,' 'Why? Why can't I hear them, it's not fair! I haven't heard their voices since I was a little girl, I NEED TO HEAR THEM!' 'exactly, you haven't heard them since you were 6,' 'How did you know that? Only certain people know that!' 'Like I said, I'm not the real Zayn, I'm a figure of your imagination,' 'Then why can't I hear my parents?' I said softly almost about to cry, 'Don't cry! You can't hear your mum and dad because you were too young to remember them, you picture them from what's in your memory that's why they both look so young, you can't hear them talk because you don't remember their voices, you were so young when the..' he trailed off and I couldn't hear him. I could only see him mouthing the words, then the meadow got so dark, cold, scary. Like what you would dream of in a nightmare, the feelings of all your fears rolled into 1, scary right? Everything in the meadow started to die, the flowers shrivelled up, lost all colour and fell onto the ground. The once beautiful tree started to wither, losing all leaves, branches and twigs falling down, rotting to the core, becoming part of my nightmare. Smoke filling the air so hard just to breathe.

Suddenly everything was quiet, no more noise of hearing branches falling, no movement of the leaves swaying in the air amongst the flower petals. Just utter silence, then darkness came upon me, everyone had disappeared, I was all on my own, no one to protect me, no one for me to protect, no one for me to stay strong for. I started to walk to find answers. I knew I couldn't handle this on my own, I knew I needed someone by my side. But who? Everyone's disappeared into thin air. No one is around to help me when I fall, not even myself. I knew this was it, I couldn't go any further, I knew I had to stop, to give up. To give up on everything, life, friends, family, hope to be free, myself and Zayn. I just sat down in between the withered plants I couldn't go on, I finally give up. I didn't know what to do but sit there, lay there and cry. I kept sobbing anyone within 12 miles would hear me, it felt like I had been there for days upon days. Until a bright white light came into view but it was moving, moving forward, more like I was moving and I was seeing different lights but the same. What was happening? 'Indie? Indie can you hear me? Who was calling my name? I could hear a voice but see no face to match it with. Where was I?
